When David opened his eyes, he was in a strange 'tunnel' made of different colors. There were a lot of things traveling beside him at different speeds, some objects were as fast as a bullet, while others were slower than him. But there was only one thing that remained at his speed just a couple of meters in front of him: The shadow man, his sword was still piercing his chest, and he was visibly struggling to summon his dark flames.
[You have entered a space rift!]
[While you travel inside the space channel, you cannot use mana nor spiritual force!]
[Beware of flying objects!]
[2:58 left to exit space channel]
-I need to kill him before we arrive!- he quickly calmed down and formulated a plan while his enemy was still in confusion.
A car passed beside him, and he used it as a springboard to reach for the sword, but his hand got grabbed at the last second and threw him against a building. He broke a window but grabbed the frame at the last second.
"Well well well, this little vermin got too high-up, let me end your life!" he grabbed the sword in his chest and tried to ignite it instinctively, but nothing came out, he snorted and tried to reach him by jumping from a passing wall.
David dodged to his left with a roll as the sword pierced the frail wall, he tried to evade a few more times but got a few more wounds on his already broken body. Parts of him began to turn into ash with every attack, but before the last strike, the man dodged instead of attacking, David was confused, but soon the answer came.
He got hit by a skeleton traveling at roughly 80 km/hr. His upper half got brutally separated from his bottom half just before the whole body turned into ash. His soul tried to remain in touch with the bones, as he forcefully possessed the body.
[You have used Possession under the pressure of a space channel]
[Possesion will end when the pressure from space channel loosens]
A pale blue flame erupted from the chest of the skeleton, and two little embers lighted up in his eye sockets, he showed his middle finger towards the shocked man, who gritted his teeth and catapulted himself towards David.
They started to brawl in the middle of the channel, throwing punches at each other and cracking their vessels in the process, some of the debris from the building started to accelerate and pierced them in various places, including some of David's ribs.
The fight made them accelerate as well, and they started to catch up to some smaller objects, one of them was David's S&W. David headbutted him and used his body as a springboard to reach the gun. He shot once against the man. However, the projectile resumed the flow of the channel, piercing everything in its path.
"Seems like your little toy doesn't work" the man chuckled and readied the sword again, David didn't throw away the gun and instead used it as a 'club.'
[00:30]
[00:29]
[00:28]
The tickling counter was at a corner of David's interface. But he didn't pay any heed to it. He used the handle to break the jaw of the man and received an impact on his ribs, destroying some of them. Both of them got filled with cracks, and some of their "pieces" were far ahead in the channel, the brawl entered a critical state were it could be decided by a precise strike.
The rhythm broke by the appearance of the man's scythe, who smirked and tried to push away his enemy. But by doing so, David noticed the weapon flying towards him and grabbed it with his free hand before he could. He tried to decapitate him, but the man threw away the sword to grab the scythe, smirking at David.
"You will die when we left this place, you know?" A blinding light appeared not far from them, signaling the end of the tunnel.
[00:10]
"I'm sure of that. You will eat my soul if I don't kill you."
[00:06]
"Foolish answer." he started to laugh as they neared the exit, and his black flames started to engulf him and the scythe.
[00:03]
"Foolish man." he aimed the gun at the man's head and pulled the trigger, piercing his head and turning his body in ash.
[You have exited the space rift!]
[Welcome to Niflheim's third layer: The Abyss!]
The rift closed when both of them passed and crashed a couple of meters apart from each other. Thankfully, nothing exploded even after the crash.
David ignored the notifications and possessed the skeleton and grabbed his sword from the ground. When he felt a suction force coming in front of him, he started to run towards it and discovered a weak pitch-black soul trying to devour him. He stabbed it with the sword without question, and the blade swallowed it.
"PHEW...I don't know how I've lived this long, thank you, God." he laughed and dropped to the floor. The rift a couple of meters in front of him vanished shortly after like it never existed, and everything went silent. Just then, he looked at the notifications.

"...Wow...that's a lot to take in" He sat down, and properly examined the information, sent a message to Kevin saying that he was fine and looked at his sword, there was a little black ember orbiting it that formed a face in agony sometimes. "Who's the little vermin now?" he chuckled a few times and then looked at his surroundings.
He was in a cave made of red stones, purple crystals gave off a faint light, and there was purple miasma permeating the air, he ignored the gas and stood up to stretch a little, "let's choose a path before exploring, i don't want to be anyone's dinner soon."

[WARNING!]

"It makes it even better!" He laughed and tapped it again.

On the surface of Niflheim 33 beings raised their heads with different expressions: shock, greed, curiosity, wonder, but deep enough them was a unanimous feeling: Fear, they traveled the Conqueror's path, and that let them know when another one of them rise. They had an agreement to kill and devour every soul that tried to be another conqueror on sight because they can shake their cities, or even take it away from them, but one existence was on top of the danger scale for these lords.
"An abyssal lord has been born..." muttered a Fallen angel in a white palace, he unfolded his four pairs of wings and walked towards the balcony.
"The abyss, huh, I missed kicking the ass of those beasts" A hunter who wore animal pelts laughed loud enough to be heard kilometers away from his city.
"The one that could shake the world has been born...I need to make preparations." A shadow inside a floating castle disappeared from its throne, only to reappear in front of an army of titans. "Activate emergency level zero, Wake up Quezatlcoatl!" "hen he finished his words, a deep and guttural roar came from the city as it transformed into a giant winged snake.
"The Abyss? I don't care..." A deep voice resounded as a giant turtle walked the endless wasteland carrying a city on its back.
Across the world, the other lords started to make preparations and prepare for the inevitable war against the demons from the Abyss. However, the peasants didn't realize it. They continued their unlife while suffering the influx of annoying players in the cities.

In the main office in TriDa games, there was a room full of people wearing white coats watching monitors and chatting between them about aspects of the game. A notification appeared in their monitors. Tiny in the sea of other things being showed like battles of spaceships, ancient dragon flying in the sky, or players that explored the worlds. But that little notification halted everyone in the room.
"It came quicker than we expected!"
"What happened? Why the Abyss lord has been born?! It was supposed to come into existence in 6 months!"
"A player? What is a player doing in the Abyss?"
"I don't know! it shouldn't be possible!" answered someone typing in his computer, "Apparently he fell in a space crack and ended there!"
"Space crack? oh...shit, the teleportations in Niflheim..."
"It still doesn't explain it! the council should not let anyone become an Abyss lord!"
"Check the server rooms! we may have a malfunction somewhere!"
Everyone was confused and yelling for answers, some of them were analyzing the situation, and the leader of them was calling their superiors, but one thing was for sure: they got a lot of work ahead and a lot of rewriting to do.
David was examining his new appearance and doing some movements to get used to having no skin on his body. But the world suddenly went dark, he panicked a little and searched for an answer to what was going on. And it came very soon. A short and bald middle-aged man appeared in front of him, he was wearing a lab coat that had the logo of TriDa on one pocket. David was a little scared for a second but calmed down soon after.
Back in TriDa games, Santiago Torres left a capsule and stretched his body until he heard popping sounds coming from his joints, then he got up walked into a room full of people in different attires: some of them were wearing suits, other lab coats, some of them were even in pajamas, but all of them solemnly watching a single monitor in the center with the "anomaly" Called David. When Santiago coughed, the monitor turned off, and everybody looked at Santiago's direction."I know what are you thinking about all of this, it's a complete mess" Santiago shrugged his shoulders, "but it can't be helped, that player was lucky enough to select that path, and the system did what it thought it was correct in that situation.""You sound like you don't care about it..." grumbled a bald guy in an expensive suit with a little golden label with his n
"...How?"Skeletor appeared in the same place where it "spawned," it was the same, but his sword was nowhere near, he checked the inventory and the surroundings searching for it, he asked in the help section, and a little notification appeared in front of him:[When a Conqueror and a Heart of the Abyss disconnects, their troops remain to execute the last instruction they received before the disconcection][You don't keep items in death]David sighed and subconsciously bit his virtual nail, rubbed his face for a couple of seconds, and finally groaned. He turned his attention again to the little skeleton, that was stari
For the next hour, David transferred Skeletor to a gathering role and made it "mine" some of the purple crystals. Mining went up three levels in that process, but the changes weren't that noticeable. Then, he used the heavier ones to hit the smaller ones to break them into useable chunks. As an experiment, he used a rock to do the same process. Sadly, it didn't work. After requesting and receiving a notepad, he noted down all of his discoveries.

Days passed slowly for David, with the built-in 3 times speed of the capsule the week before his first reconstruction surgery was especially long, more rest awaited him and more SSO to play, his parents came back from Europe and visited him quite a few times with his older brother, they still had no news from the eldest one but they knew he and his family was ok.Back in the game, David managed to repurpouse the small tunnel his critters made to exit the old cave to a nice nest for his critters, Ben laid 10 eggs and Lorne 6 after she was transferred to brood mother when her services ended, half of the plated rhinos were assigned as defenders and the other as attackers, the main differences laid in the size of the horns and the thickness of the plates, the tunneling worms were made scouts, making them a bit larger than their mom in their original form. As for their names…he just used Rhino 1 to 10 and tunnel 1 to 6, he didn’t want to name every monster he received b
As the efficiency of the tribe and the minions grew, the Forest began to feel threatened by their existence. At first, they didn't pose much threat because their weapons were not that impressive, coupled with their limited numbers and shabby strategies. However, the arrival of the army and the creation of Genesis began to give them dangerous ideas. The first raid was to test the waters, see how dangerous they were and how much firepower they could pack. After getting a good idea about how to proceed, the Forest prepared their execution with more numbers and taking out their weakest link first: Genesis. But the development that they had in just three days was too much for it to process.
The fight raged for what seemed like an eternity. David thanked that he was in a virtual space, or he would have lost his throat at this point. Numerous corpses piled up just to be burned with fire magic before the ghosts could take them and add more chaos. The numbers consistently dropped from his combatants, with a sigh, he decided it was enough."Scouts, request back-up from the tribe."The scouts silently agreed and made their way back to the tribe, avoiding as much combat as they could. David nodded and returned his attention to the bat
The [drunk] state lasted for 4 hours before changing to [hangover], halving their max stats for ten more hours before vanishing. David didn't mind it too much and let the dozen affected soldiers rest properly before the big fight that followed soon after.[Incursion in progress!][Your town "Genesis" is under attack!]
The researchers spent 3 hours trying to make heads and tails of the drawings that David drew on the ground. David guided them to accelerate the process, but he couldn't help with most of it. He could possess them in turns, but that would deplete their energy before getting anything done. When the blueprints were finished and more finely painted on a patch of leather, the architects began their job. The squirrels, rats, and the apes that broke out of their cocoon began to carve the bloodwood. But David stopped the apes from doing it. Their low crafting levels made the products too crude to function, and instead, he made them go with the other crafters to grind.Another welcomed addition was a new magical device that the tribe invente
David returned his attention to Genesis when the army safely returned to their home. Almost all of them immediately went for the kitchen searching for, but it wasn't ready yet. David looked over the kitchen and saw the cooks frantically trying to keep up with the demand for soup and meat."Keep it up, boys, I don't know why did you take so long to start but next time, try to be ready."The cooks nodded and continued their work. David smiled and shook his head before redirecting his attention to the army's stats. After a while, he nodded."Earl, search for the tribe, we need to make a deal."The banshee nodded and entered the skull tribe with haste. While Earl was in his little mission, David looked over the architects."First thing on the To-do list. Possession, Architect 1."[Warning! Unit "Architect 1" is 8 levels below the recommended threshold for the ability. The time until complete exhaustion is reduced.][00:02:12]-It's enough-Thought David, while stretching the body of Archit
While David was having the battle of his life, back in Genesis, things quieted down. After the rescue team left, the usual noises from the minions disappeared from the town. In this quietness, Cook 1, a squirrel of the first generation of the army cooks, was bored in the kitchen. His job was to purify swamp water using a high reactive aquamarine before making soup. When there were no supplies, he had to skin the carcasses and peel the vegetables with his other 11 colleagues. It was a grueling task, but one that he gladly did, as it was a command by the great voice. He saw a grey fire materializing in front of the kitchen, but he remained calm. Cook 8 pulled a rope inside the building, and a sound similar to a bell resounded. Just be
The enemy wolves were 28 without counting the boss, while David had 50 at his disposal. However, even if he almost doubled them, he knew he had a tough fight ahead. His team consisted of 20 Plated rhinos, 10 Blood rats, 10 Bone squirrels, 5 Tunneling worms, 4 Soldier ants, and Skeletor. He favored agility and stealth for the ambush, instead of going with more bulky fighters like the beetles or the snails. Also, he didn't bring any golems to the fight, as more numbers would most likely get them caught. The rewards were very tempting, but David wasn't so sure of winning the fight, so he immediately set forth reinforcements from Genesis. At least to minimize the losses he would suffer. The first wolf arrived near the Rhinos with an armor made out of stone covering its body, thorny vines came from the roof and the ground and held it as the rhinoceros charged ahead. Similar scenarios played out on both fronts, resulting in the death of 3 wolves. The Ice wolf howled again and stomped its fe
While David was distracted with the other minions, Dorime began to splash ink in the wall using the onyx. He shaped it using his little hands and used his flying golem for the unreachable places. He painted a humanoid striking a T-pose in the center of the wall, with lines near its body, as if they represented that it was glowing. Near, he made the crude shapes of various of his new and older brothers: Skeletor was a small horned humanoid, lumps represented the rats and squirrels, some tunneling worms, vultures, beetles, and even some ants. After a while, h
Even with the deaths of his units, David's mood was still positive. He managed to get his hands of the ants, and all that remained was to begin the extraction of copper. He started by summoning the Worker ants near the Gigabeetles. Five black ants of the size of a dog appeared, they twitched their antennae and clapped their mandibles."We must follow the tradition. You'll
