Chapter 5

Daxon entered the hall clad in a white tuxedo looking like a king with his Beta Jake following him. When he stood at a place immediately a queue of people formed to greet the Alpha of the biggest and powerful pack. No one wants to come in his bad books or wants any kind of enemity with him.

"Daxon?" Hazel mumbled to herself trying the name for the first time on her tongue but it felt strangely familiar to her. Like she heard that name before.

"Hazel." suddenly Alexander's voice came from infront oh her when she raised her head at him she saw him angry. His eyes reddened in rage. 'What did I do?' Hazel thought in her mind confused at his behaviour.

"Don't." he warned her coldly. Her eyes widened in realization. So he heard her saying any other men's name. But what's so wrong in it that he is that much angry?

"Do not talk to him until he asks something to you. He is a monster in disguise so do not try to offend him with your behaviour. He is a man of his words. So, don't do anything which made me loose this peace treaty." he warned her coldly this time not wanting to loose this peace treaty after waiting for so long.

"Alpha Daxon!" Alexander called him trying to gain his attention. But as soon as the name escaped his lips Hazel suddenly felt tensed and complete at the same time. She don't know what is this feeling and what is happening to her. Is it nervousness she feeling after seeing so much strangers?

Daxon snapped his head towards the certain voice and saw that bastard. The reason of his mate's death. The reason he will forever be without any mate. But as soon as he saw the petite and dainty figure standing behind him his inner wolf growled 'mate'.

The inner wolf of him, Storm turned unleashed like a beast and start yelling in his mind 'mate' like a mantra. His voice echoing in his mind but Daxon closed his eyes trying to calm down his wolf.

It's impossible his wolf's mate and his love is dead in that war hoe can he see his mate in someone else's wife. But Storm started growling in rage seeing the woman he is considering his mate is holding some other men's hand. He wanted to shred Alexander in pieces.

But Daxon maintained his posture and slowly walked towards Alexander and his mate, his wife. He reached near them and stopped in front of them. Feeling him standing in front of her Hazel felt something different, a feeling which she was not able to comprehend to she squeezed Alexander's arm. He moved his gaze to her and seeing her behaviour he thought she is feeling scared of Daxon. Like who will not?

'Thank you for coming Alpha Daxon." Alexander said and bowed his head down in respect infront of him but Hazel was standing still while holding his hand tightly. Daxon gave him a firm nod.

He moved his gaze to the figure standing infront of him covered on veil and gloved. So that's what Jake was telling him that she is forbidden for any other man to see? He tried to catch a glimpse of her features and face with his keen gaze but it was not that clear for him. Alexander saw him gazing at her and thought he is looking at her because she didn't bowed down in front of him.

"Hazel." he squeezed her hand and warned her motioning her to bow her head down in front of him while clutching his fists tightly and jaw clenched. Hazel flinched feeling pain her hand and was about to bow down.

"No." Daxon spat making her halt in the middle. Alexander snapped his head at him. Storm made him deny it. He was overpowering him mind but when Alexander get suspicious of his behaviour so he again said "Leave it."

He said shrugging like he don't care if she bow her head infront of him or not. But in actually storm didn't let her do it.

"I had to come here because I got very important things to do here." Daxon said replying Alexander's earlier statement while gazing at Hazel. Alexander saw his continuous stare on Hazel so finally decided to introduce her.

"This is Hazel Suarez my mate and my wife." he said pulling Hazel closer to him and pecked her shoulder infront of Daxon but Hazel got uncomfortable with his this action infront of some stranger.

A vibration rumbled through Daxon's chest because Storm was growling inside of him. He was not liking this close proximity of any other man to his mate. But the problem is she is not even him mate.

"Charmed, I'm sure." Daxon replied and tried to analyze her face behind the veil peering at her with his rare black eyes.

"Have I seen you before?" he asked her raising his brow at her.

Hazel opened her mouth to answer him but Alexander interrupted her. "I believe not, no one has ever seen my wife except for me." he said feeling so proud of his statement.

"Hmm. Nice to meet to you Hazel." Daxon said looking at her but Alexander's smile dropped from his face when he heard him saying her first name instead of calling her formally.

Hazel timidly nodded at him not knowing what to say. Daxon was feeling so suspicious of Alexander that why he keep his wife hidden. It's not like anyone can steal her from him. Or can it be true?

Daxon raised his brow at her when she didn't replied and just nodded at him. Alexander clenched his jaw at her rude behaviour towards Alpha Daxon so he tried to handle the situation. "I apologize Alpha, she don't know how to interact with people." he apologized to him by again bowing in front of him. Daxon nodded his head at him in understanding.

"I have some people to meet until you keep entertained yourself." Daxon rasped in his husky voice and for the last time moved his black eyes to the dainty figure standing there with her head lowered and fists clutching her dress and walked away from there.

Alexander turned to her with his clutched jaw. "Don't you know how to behave properly?" he asked yelling at her and clutched her arm yanking her a little towards him. No one was noticing then in so much crowd but a pair of eyes was watching the keenly from a long distance.

"Don't embarrass me and if the signing in peace treaty had any trouble just because of you. You don't know what will I do babygirl." he said and left her arm with a shrug. Tears welled up in Hazel's eyes. Why she don't know how to behave? Why she have to embarrass him in front of everyone? She was blaming herself for everything.
