Pearl hailed a cab and headed back to her bungalow. She opened the door and exhaled the breath she felt like she had been holding in since she left the restaurant. She looked around the room and remembered her break down the night before. It was humiliating but necessary experience for her. She really was grateful for Erik. He had just listened to her.
