She saw his burning gaze on herself, his eyes shining with suppressed anger. Somewhere in her heart, she shivered from the intensity in them. His eyes felt like they could pierce her soul and see through her. As her heart thudded like a jackhammer, she tried to compose her thoughts and push him off herself. But he was way too strong to budge even an inch. She tried a few more times but her attempts were futile as she could not even shake him at all. She looked away from him angrily when all of her attempts failed so brutally.
