Lily picked up the phone, glanced at it, and rejected the call to continue eating. It rang again soon after, but she rejected it again. This repeated several times.

"Well, that’s annoying. I'll teach them a lesson for you if you want," Alexander noticed his wife’s impatient expression and said half-jokingly. He wanted to answer on her behalf when the phone rang again.

Lily once again rejected the call and shook her head, "Then you’ll need to teach a lot of people lessons."

After some thought, Alexander raised his brows and asked, "Is it a reporter?"

The calls were frequent and were not one but many callers simultaneously. The only possibility for this was they were reporters who were eager for news.

Lily shrugged, stood up, and cleared the dishes. She was already full and had no appetite to continue eating.

"Leave it. I’ll do the dishes," Alexander said.

Lily did not listen to him this time. She brought all the dishes to the kitchen with him and placed them into the dishwasher.
