Hannah’s words shocked Heather as it was the first time Hannah had asked back for something she had taken.

‘Hannah never dared to claim anything since she was young. When did she become daring enough to demand things from me? Is this ring—no, is that man so important to her?’

Thinking so, Heather became thoughtful and diverted her gaze from the ring to her sister. “What did you say? Repeat it since I didn’t hear you correctly.”

From Heather’s demeanor, Hannah knew her sister had gotten mad, and she should not repeat it. The pain in her shoulder also reminded her not to do it.
