Alex Handing my mother over to the pack leaders was hard, but it had to be done. I went to visit her in her cell. Sam had seen to it that she was comfortable and well cared for. Because she was my mother I couldn't participate in judging her. The panel was yet to decide on what to do. Sam had somehow managed to stall the judgement because of the twins. Nicole and Nicolas were fond of their grandmother. We were still yet to know how best to take her away from them since they had never experienced loss before. I hadn't spoken to my mother, since Hilda had spilt the beans. Sam urged me to speak with her so I could get some closure. She didn't want me to have unanswered questions and regrets. I knew she was right. My mother was happy to see me. The guard had complained that she hadn't been eating. So, I instructed them to bring her some food. " I thought I would never see you again." she wept, and I answered her with a smile, but I was too heartbroken for the smile to touch my eyes.
Alex I couldn't believe what the kappa had just told me. I had just left my mother in her cell. She had been humiliated and stripped of her status for killing her mate. She had resigned herself to death. Her last words to me were still cutting my heart, and then this Kappa had come to inform me that all the stress, all the trouble I had been through was all for nothing? I must have not, heard him well. So I asked him again. " What did you just say?" " Alpha Wildbreed has returned to the pack." he rephrased himself. "My father?" I asked again, just to be clear. "Yes, Alpha," he assured me.
Alex. My father stared at me for a while. It was obvious he didn't know how or where to start from. " You can continue from the attack," I told him, and he nodded with a sigh. "I wish I had that golden light thing that you did during the attack on the night you fought Raphael. Maybe my story would be different." he started, trying to bring some humour into our discussion. I just smiled so he wouldn't feel like he failed at the joke. His facial expression became serious, and he continued to speak. "They had studied my moves and tactics. They had help from within the pack. That, I am sure of, because of the way they kept communicating with themselves about me. They knew all my moves. They wore me out till I could no longer fight. Eventually, I was overpowered by them, and they defeated me." he stopped and trailed off. " It had been long, I had lost a fight." he said "And that was the disturbance. I didn't believe anyone could defeat me. I wasn't expecting them to be so many. It was
Alex Having my father back came with mixed emotions. He was alive, but he wasn't well. The silver was poison to his system, and It was killing him. Sam had instructed the leaders to release my mother, and this didn't sit well with some of them. They believed my mother had a lot to answer for. They were too scared to oppose Sam directly, so they came to me instead. Led by the troublesome Deborah, the leaders stated their concerns. " We cannot release her. She has committed too many atrocities to be let off the hook like that. The werewolf community might fear us, but we have lost respect and trust because of her. The blood moon pack's incident still hangs over our heads.". she explained, and I smiled with understanding. "You will have to discuss this with Luna Samantha. After all, it was you that said she should head the panel because I won't be capable of making rational and just decisions. Are you trying to imply that you were wrong? After all, it involves my mother. I am sorry,
Alex. Soon Sam joined us. She had taken the twins to town and left them with Sylvester to care for them. Due to our situation, we decided that it was best the twins were always in the company of a spirit wolf because of Glover's antics and intentions. She entered in a rush, I knew she believed she was late. " Hope I didn't miss much?" She said, and my father smiled at her. He walked up to her, held her face in his palms and said. " Look at you, Samantha. Who would have guessed that you would be a blessing to my family the moment I decided to take you in? Thank you for not making me regret my decisions and actions towards you." He said and kissed her on her forehead. I knew Sam was embarrassed, and I could understand why. " I bet the Blackwells would be proud of their daughter where ever they may be." He said, and Samantha and I both cleared our throats. Noticing the awkwardness, my father asked with concern looking from me to Samantha, " Did I say something wrong?" I cleared my
Alex A whole month had passed. There were no disturbances from anywhere. We were still waiting for Raphael and the silver wolf to strike. My father took his time to inform me about everything he knew about Glover and his plans. My father had recovered fully and gained back most of his weight. It was obvious that he and my mother were working things out. My father didn't find the lies that his beta had told my mother funny. He had called him out on it. Beta Carter could not be disciplined because he had a good reason to mislead her. He was only trying to hurt her the way she had hurt him and his family. The truth was, he was right. My mother had done a lot of terrible things and would keep paying for them for the rest of her life. Beta Carter had lost his position to his son because of my mother. His daughter, Hilda, might never have a mate because of her. with all the accusations stacked up against her, my father had no choice but to let the matter go. I was glad they were worki
Samantha The news about the pending attack got me nervous and restless. We didn't know when our enemies would strike, so we had to be on our guard most of the time. I spent most of the days roaming the grounds in wolf form, listening for strange noises. I wasn't at peace, and neither was my mate. We could both feel each other's anxiety, but neither of us spoke about it for the sake of peace and sanity. Three weeks had passed since Whiterose had warned us of the attack, and yet, nothing had happened. Although we wanted to dismiss it as a false alarm, we intended to remain on our guards, knowing full well that Raphael was the least of our problems. Topping the list was Glover, and he had been too quiet for comfort. We were worried about his silence, but his activities in the human towns had not gone unnoticed. More people were going missing, and some were just too scared to live there anymore. It was safe to say that the human town, where I lived, now had more werewolves than humans as
Alex "What is going on here?" I asked, approaching my parents. " Alex Stand down!" My father commanded. It was clear that he had forgotten that he was no longer my Alpha and couldn't command me. " No, father, this is also my fight," I replied and stood next to him to face the woman and Raphael. I saw Raphael whisper something to the woman, and she set her eyes on me. " So you are the werewolf that fights with magic?" She condescendingly asked me. " What do you want ?" I asked her ignoring her question. " I do not want anything from the likes of you," she stated, " You have nothing to give
Samantha We returned to the pack with Glover as our prisoner. The red wolf had secured the head of defence, Mr Reynolds. I had special plans for him. We lost two apex wolves, and eight wolves were injured. Judging by our odds, I knew we were lucky. Just as Alex once told me that suffering casualties were part of our job description. We couldn't always have it all. I braced myself and ordered an honourable burial for the deceased. We knew reporting Mr Reynolds would be useless because the government was in on it. So I decided to take the laws into my hands. He was going to witness what he made my mother witness ten years ago, because of his greed and lack of humanity. I never said I was a saint. So I sent him home with two delta spirit wolves. I had them slaughter his family in his presence and bring him back to the settlement. He would work as a slave until he no longer had use anymore, then he would be killed. We made sure he wouldn't dream of escaping by framing him for the dea
Samantha. It was time to finally move in on Glover. We intended to sneak up on him. I and Sylvester were going to scout the area first then send a signal. Alex had protested, but eventually, he had to agree. He was new to the terrain, wereas Sylvester knew the area better than me. Together, we were less likely to accidentally alert the enemy of our presence. Alex held me all morning. We made love more than three times. I began to fear he was up to something because this was exactly how he behaved when he rejected and dumped me in the human town in a bid to 'save my life.' " I hope this is not you saying goodbye?" I asked, lying in his arms, and he laughed. " You wish babe. You are stuck with me till the end." He said and began to tickle me. I laughed so hard I had to control myself to breathe. " I am just getting pumped up for the fight," he confessed and winked. He tried to make it seem as if he was simply drawing on our mate bond for energy. He did not need to do that for the s
Samantha Discussing the mutation with Alex was easy. Having faced hunters several times, he believed the mutation would be an advantage. He didn't hesitate to elaborate on how fighting against the hunters with only our jaws and paws would be a bad decision on our part. Hunters used specialised weapons and talismans in battle. We wouldn't stand a chance if we are unable to dodge them and attack them like humans. The fact that everyone would be in their right senses after transformation was good news too because he believed that was what deterred most of them in the first place. The marking wearing off after three days was a plus. Although it was easy to explain to Alex and convince him, I doubted it would be that easy with the elders. W
Samantha I sat alone in the alpha's office contemplating when we could start searching our cabins in the woods. Alex's idea was excellent. It was normal that he would think in that direction. He had fought and defended his pack even before his father went missing. He had all the experience and training that I did not have. I sat there wondering where we would start the search. If we would spread out and search different cabins or if all of us would just go to the one I spent the night in with Sylvester. We needed to be careful how we moved so we wouldn't tip them off. Someone knocked on my door, and I asked the person to enter. It was my mother. I smiled immediately I saw her. I had never imagined that I would see her again after that night that we parted in the woods. The memory came back to me in a rush. My mother had allowed me to ride on her wolf's back to escape the massacre. If it weren't for her, I wouldn't be alive. We had run for almost twenty-four hours before we got to th
Samantha. The journey to the Luna Eclipse pack was a bit longer than expected. It would have been shorter if we went through the forest, but because we were going with the twins, we couldn't do that, so we opted to drive there. leaving with the twins was a tough decision, but we knew that Glover would attack the Yellow moon pack if we left them there. It was best we took everyone that was connected to us along with us. Alex's parents had insisted to join in the fight. We tried to persuade them not to come. Eventually, we allowed his father to come along and insisted his mother remained. Someone needed to remain to run the pack. She was to work hand in hand with Robert Carter and Delta Ashton Whitespear. Abel Wey was too excited about the fight that he made me a bit worried. The fact that he could not die was a plus on our side, but the fact that he had no motivation was a problem. What if he decided to switch sides last minute? He had no allegiances to anyone, nor did he have any af
Alex. A week passed in peace. We weren't relaxed, but we were relieved. We had time to rest and gather our thoughts. We sat and planned how we will bring peace by putting an end to Glover. With most of our disputes resolved, planning on how to end Glover's reign of terror was all we focused on. Luna Tamar had kept her promise and placed Raphael as the new Alpha of Rosehip's pack. The Blue moon pack members had tried to revolt, but unfortunately for them, Spirit wolves hated being challenged and disrespected. Luna Tamar had killed off their Beta, Gamma and Delta. The rest of the pack did not need much convincing to fall in line. As expected, the Blue moon pack became the Blood moon pack. Raphael tried to make peace with us, but we weren't there yet. A lot had happened because of his grudge. He had let Rosehip mislead him and ruin lives. He was lucky he wasn't involved in the people trading business, he would have died along with his mentor. Although he claimed he wanted justice, he h
Alex After a week of agony and pain, Luna Tamar finally arrived with a blue-eyed woman. She looked ethereal and beautiful. There was no doubt she was a goddess. I wondered why she was on the physical plane, but I kept my questions to myself. We had moved Sam to one of the rooms on the ground floor of the Alpha quarters. The room was kept cool at all times. I would often fill the tub with ice and place her in it to cool her system. Sam could not eat, therefore, I fed her mainly liquid. I wished I could share her agony and pain, and the fact that it was impossible gave me more heartache. The weird-looking woman examined Sam and smiled. " An Alpha," She smiled and looked at a man that stood next to her. " What do you say Abel, darling. A direct descendant of Selene." She said and smiled, then looked at me. " I don't do freebies." She stated, and I saw a pink human butterfly stand on her shoulder. " Meet, Hill, " she introduced the thing, and I didn't know how to respond. " Hello A
Alex. I was just helping Sam's mother to settle in when Zeta Ashley came to call me. I knew something bad must have happened because we hardly spoke. The moment I got the news of what happened to Sam, I ran out. I rushed to the infirmary when I was told Sam was injured and had been taken there by Sylvester. Elisabeth had come to call me, but Zeta Ashley had beaten her to it. Sam's mother had followed me to the infirmary. It was sad that this was the first time she would see her daughter since she was fifteen and Sam was badly injured. The twins were sent to my parents. Upon getting to the infirmary. I saw Sam stripped bare with her chest down and her back exposed. There were blackish veins around the claw wound on her back. "What the hell is this?" I screamed, " How did this happen?" I asked, and no one responded. The fact that she wasn't moving scared me. "No, No, Sam," I began to plead, " Please don't do this to me. You promised you would be alright. You have to fight this." I
