Chapter 3: Kill The Witch

" Let's go see them "

I happily added while exploring Rohan's face.

He looks hurt about the idea of being cursed.

And that is what he deserves anyway.

But there is something else, he is hiding something from me.

" Before we go, if I may ask, can I read your memories, my lord? "

I asked him with a smile as I raise my hand, but he just slapped my hand away.

Oh, suspicious.

" Get up. "

He ordered standing up, he tried to help me to my feet but I got up on my own.

I can see his angry face without even looking.

He leads me somewhere, the more I got closer the more I smell a familiar scent.

" Mom! "

I cried when I saw her behind the bars, she stares at me.

" Alexey? Is that you again? "

Again?

Mom ran to hug me, I can feel her cold tears running down her cheek.

The metal bars separating us from hugging probably.

I need to bust her out.

I touched the bars trying to melt them.

" Ugh. "

But instead, I and mom got electrocuted

" No funny business. "

I looked at Rohan who is smiling and holding a device in his hands.

I looked again at mother who fall on the ground holding her head in pain.

" Dear baby, what did he do to you? "

Mother asked me approaching me again, I was terrified that he will do it again.

So I just kept a distance.

" I'm going to get you out of here, I promise. "

" Mane Mane. "

I shouted focusing on Rohan who flew away.

He is still clenching the device in his hand.

" Throw it! "

I ordered him, clenching his throat as he is floating in the air.

He smiled in his pain pressing more buttons as my mother screamed out loud.

I lost my focus looking at her, there was a silver net dropped above her.

I tried to remove it with my magic but watching her burning is too much to make me focus.

" Please stop, please! "

I yelled trying to slip my hand to remove the net, The burning sensation is hurting me but not as much as my mother.

" You want to free her? Here you go. "

Rohan opened the cage and I watch him kneeling near my mother.

He also removed the net, the silver doesn't seem to hurt him much.

Then what kills a Lycan?

I stared at him as he backs away, I approached my mom to hug and heal her.

" Here is the deal Alexey, I refuse to let my mother-in-law rotten in here forever, so I will let her go freely. "

He is circling around us as speaks.

" But? "

I asked him, I can end him here or buy us some time to run, but I can't afford another net to drop above us now.

Mom could die.

" But you will have to wipe every memory of you from her pretty head, as you did with your brothers and sisters and like you will do with your lover. "

I bit my lip in anger, I should have expected something like that.

" Well as long as they have their freedom. "

I have no problem With that, it hurts but it's better as long as I do remember them.

I moved my hand to mother's forehead but she held my hand.

" Please don't do this Alexey, you're the only one who reminds me of your dad, your heart, your kindness, don't do this to me. "

She begged me as I look at the stone wall, I have to be the stone wall.

I promised to bury my feelings.

" Alexandra! Let me rot in here! don't you dare do this to me! "

She yelled at me her eyes turning orange.

I smiled at her calmly.

" When everything goes back to normal, I will let you remember me. "

" Alexandra ! "

I placed my hand above her forehead as she is trembling in anger.

The next thing she is blinking looking at me.

" W, who are you? "

" I'm the Pack's doctor, my name is Alexandra but you can call me Alexey. "

I announced with a warm smile trying not to cry as she looks at Rohan.

" Your highness! Am I still punished? "

Rohan laughed amused, probably because of my powers.

She remembers everything but me.

" No, you can go see your children. "

Mom fled from my hug to run from the dungeons.

I stood up and slowly approached Rohan, Can I wipe his memory?

I want to try.

I pushed him against the wall, placing my hand above his forehead.

" Woah, you're too rough. "

He joked as he places his hands on my waist, I tried to focus more but I don't feel anything is happening.

His smug face is pissing me off.

" Stop smiling. "

" It's my face I can do whatever I want with it. "

I felt his hands going up to touch my nape which made me push him away.

" I don't understand, how can you resist my powers so well? "

I admitted my defeat as he puts his hands in his pockets.

" Maybe someone taught me a spell or two, who knows? "

Rohan smiled raising his shoulders which made me cross my eyebrows, he knows other spell casters?

" Let's go see your boyfriend, ah I must warn you, he may act violently. "

I gulped hard, remembering it's been so long already, 23 years?

I'm sure he is angry that I didn't look for him, I didn't even know he could survive that hit back then.

Rohan puts his hand behind my back leading me to another cell.

" There are many prisoners, why? "

I asked as I witness the terrified faces and angry ones.

There are humans, vampires, and different species.

" They're my collection. "

I glanced at him shaking my head, there are many things I have to do when he is away.

I froze when I recognized this scent I ran to stare inside the cell.

I saw Raily scratching on the wall.

He is scratching on the walls, his hands are shackled and there are weird sigils all over the walls.

" Raily. "

I shivered at to call of his name.

when he looked at me, his eyes, are darker than I could remember.

" Don't get closer, it's not safe to get near him. "

Rohan advices with a serious tone, I want to cry so bad

" Raily ? Do you recognize me? It's Alexey! "

I added as Raily is approaching me slowly, it's been so long but Nothing is different, he still looks young in his twenties.

How is that even possible?

" Alexey? Come closer, I want to see you well. "

I was about to but Rohan grabbed my wrist, I stared at him whispering the burning spell, he flinched but continued to hold me tight before he groan and leave my hand alone.

I approached the bars closer as Raily told me and when I did that Raily grabbed my hair strongly.

" I had one mission, to kill a specific witch and you ruined everything for me! "
