Chasity Dawson P.O.V
I had so much fun with Joe tonight. We talked about almost everything at dinner and then ended up watching the new action movie that came out. It was really good and I had such a great time. I was super bummed that I had a curfew and I wish that we could have spent more time together. When we finally arrived at my house at the end of the night, a small part of me started to get sleepy.
“Wait there,” said Joe, when we finally arrived at my house.
“Okay,” I replied, nodding and unbuckling my seatbelt. I watched him get out from his seat to come to my side.
He opened my door and lifted me up off my seat and onto the ground. When my feet touched the ground, he did not let me go, keeping his hands still on my waist.
“Thank you,” I softly replied, not being able to remove my
Chasity Dawson P.O.VI was right. The days that followed soon after that week were pure hell. The horrible cliché drama of dating the popular guy in high school, was now being sent my way every single day. I wanted to break down and cry my eyes out at one point, but didn’t want to give the girls the satisfaction of seeing me in tears. On a really bad day, I cried my eyes out when I got home. Joe, my mother, Payton and Maddie did everything they could think of to cheer me up; even Joe’s friends, John and Gio joined in, which warmed my heart. There were girls at the school that were savage. One morning, someone put slime in my locker that blasted all over my clothes. The next day, someone took my clean clothes from my gym locker while I was in the shower at P.E. Luckily, I had Payton in the same class, and she gave me
Joe Bandit P.O.VI quickly pushed Jamie off of me, as if the touch of her burned my skin. Then my eyes quickly searched for Chasity’s face. I wasn’t a blind to the fact that her expression currently looked murderous. I am hoping that it is directed at Jamie, instead of me.The innocent victim kissed by another girl. Jamie looked startled by my reaction and pouted with disapproval. She and I have known each other since we were kids. Our parents went to the same college and every year my family and I would go on vacation with hers for spring break. I always had a great time with them, up until Jamie would try to start hitting on me.She just never understood the word no.Chasity has never met Jamie yet, due to the fact that Jamie went to an all-girls school in Europe and her family
Joe Bandit P.O.VAfter pushing away all insecurity and doubt from Chasity’s mind, I left her to go back to her friends, while I went to handle a situation, I sure hope will not make things worse.I already have enough trouble on my plate.I took a deep breath before heading to my mother’s room, where I know Jamie and she would be. Once reaching my mother’s bedroom door, I took a deep breath before going in. Opening the door without knocking, I see my mother embracing Jamie in a tight hug, saying soothing words to calm her down. Noticing my arrival, they pulled apart. My mother gave Jamie one last hug, and whispered something in her ear that only she could hear. Jamie nodded as my mother pulled away.Jamie looked down at the ground as I stepped closer towards the two of them.“Put her down gently,&rdquo
Joe P.O.V“When did she get here?” John asked in a casual voice as he picked up the football from the ground.“About thirty minutes ago,” I answered. Rubbing the bridge between my eyes, to calm the headache I felt approaching.“I sense that you are about to be in for some deep trouble my friend,” Gio added with a shake of his head.I scoffed, and rolling my eyes, I sighed, “Tell me something I don’t know.”“Where is she now?” John asked, peeking over my shoulder, assuming she was trailing after me, like she usually did. It’s when he does little things like that, I start to assume he has something for her.I pointed my thumb backwards, “In my mother’s room, gathering herself together.”
Joe Bandit P.O.VGrabbing her hands, and looking into her eyes. Tears pouring down her eyes like the gates of a damn breaking and water gushing through. Her puffy eyes, red nose with snot flowing down, showed how long she must have been crying. I don’t understand how I could have done something that made her cry. The last time I spoke to Chasity was before I went out to the backyard and she was totally fine.Maddie grabbed another tissue from a tissue box, I didn’t notice that sat beside her. Handing it to Chasity to wipe her eyes.“Thank you,” Chasity mumbled softly. My eyes dropped from hers and swerved to Maddie and Payton. “Can I talk to Chasity alone?” When they made no moment, I repeated myself. “I would like to talk to my girlfriend alone, and find out wha
Joe Bandit P.O.VMy heart start pounding so furiously fast, it could have flown right out of my chest. Being cautious on what I should say, I didn’t want to say the wrong thing. The topic was sensitive and I wasn’t going to be the one to spill the beans and tell her. Exposing what I know is a secret, will be like breaking glass. Once it shatters, its going to be dangerous and messy. My mom is going to go ballistic, because knowing Chasity’s father is alive is a massive thing. So, I did what I thought was best.I lied. Both of my hands in the air in defense, “I don’t know anything.”“You’re so defensive.” She squinted her eyes at me, reading my body language. “A bit too defensive.”I was lying and she knew it. She could ask as much questions as she want
Chasity Dawson P.O.VDammit John. This guy just doesn’t know when to shut up sometimes. I wonder if he talks first and thinks second. I’m not surprised that his mouth went ahead and just caused an awkward situation, but if he doesn’t change his personality soon; he is going to get himself in deep trouble one day. Mama always said to think before you speak. Jamie was the first to break the silence, “Charity, do you and Joey go to the same school?”“It’s Chasity,” I instantly replied, correcting her.Knowing full well, she called me by the wrong name on purpose. “Mmhmm,” choosing that as the best reply.“I see.” Jamie started picking at her food causally with her fork. “Do you live nearby as well?”Unashamed and ready for the interrogation, I answer “No.”“Oh?” her interest was alrea
Chasity Dawson P.O.VBy the time dinner was over, I was ready to leave. I was sick and tired of trying to play nice with Jamie. There is only so much a girl can handle. There were questions after questions fired at me from her, like she’s trying to prove that she’s better than me. She was trying to telepathically send some message to me, every time she shot me a nasty glare. Thinking no one else saw it, but they did.Everyone did. She was horrible at hiding her emotions. When it started getting late, Joe offered to drive everyone home. Payton, Maddie and I quickly headed to Joe’s room to grab our stuff before leaving.“That was horrible,” muttered Maddie, as she picked up her backpack from Joe’s room.I grabbed my bag beside hers and strapping it over my shoulders. “Tell me about it,” I spoke out loud, in a rhetorical tone.“That girl does

Joe Bandit P.O.VI felt like someone punched me in the gut and I couldn’t breathe. When Gio told me, what happened to John I almost joined him in destroying the house. That didn’t happen, only because Chasity heard Gio throwing things and came running downstairs. When I told her that John died, she threw her arms around me and hugged me tight as she cried her eyes out. My eyes flooded with tears, and I tried to keep it at bay but it was useless. If John saw me crying right now, he’d tell me, “Only girls cry Joe.” Then I’d push him and say “You’ve cried before too! So that makes you a girl!” We’d laugh and head to the theater room to watch a movie. It pained me to know that we would never get to do that again. When the exchange for my mother had been made after my dad signed the documents that would give James complete control of my father’s company, shots were fired. Andr
Joe Bandit P.O.V“You want to know what’s so funny?” I laughed out loud at the sudden thought.Gio and Chasity looked at me. “What?” they asked in unison.I shook my head, “Earlier I could have sworn I saw Payton, as we were coming down the elevator.”Gio’s fork dropped from his hand and onto his plate in shock. “You saw Payton? Here?” He rushed out, looking around in alert. The smile that was on my face fell.“Well, I think I saw her.” I said starting to feel uneasy. “I could be wrong. Why? Is that not a good thing?”Gio stood up and shook his head.“The call that I just had, was from one of our men. He said that he found videos of Payton meeting James Cotton last week and was at your house today while you and your parents were out. She was there when your mother was abducted. Your mother didn’t se
Joe Bandit P.O.VI looked at Chasity’s eyes and couldn’t believe how lucky I got to have this girl in my life. Our situation is weird, considering the fact that her dad tried to kill my parents, but I’m still grateful that one of the results is something that led Chasity into my life. Not wanting to say this, but needing to come clean I tell her my secret, “Chasity, I knew that your dad was alive.”Her eyes widened. “Why didn’t you tell me?”She didn’t pull away from me, so this was a good sign.“My father advised against it. We argued so many times, because I wanted to tell you and he didn’t feel like it was the time to do it.”She looked down, “I heard you guys arguing one time in the office. The door wasn’t fully shut. You were screaming at each other and one of the things you said is something along the lines of, a girl having the right t
Joe Bandit P.O.VThe whole car ride to the safe house, was spent in total silence. No one spoke and no one needed to. I didn’t know that my dad had a safe house. Did my mom know about it? If she did, why didn’t she tell me? It was now an hour and we still weren’t there. We were heading to the mountains and the deeper we went I saw less and less proof of civilization. An hour later, Gio finally spoke up, “We’re here.”I watched as he pulled into a lane that led to a small shack.“You’ve got to be kidding me Gio,” I couldn’t help but say. “I don’t mean to sound spoiled but my father is a rich man. I assumed that he would have bought a bigger safe house.”Gio got out of the car and smirked at me. “Your father is a very rich man indeed.”I raised my brow at the way he spoke. As if he knew something I didn’t.Gio went to Annie to help her walk,
Joe Bandit P.O.VI watched as the man my father brutally beaten groaned from the immense pain he was feeling. His face all bloodied up and bruised, he looked almost unrecognizable. Then again, I’m sure any man would if they were beaten the way Andrew was.“So, what now dad?” I asked, as I watched him pace back and forth. He looked at John instead of me, “I want all the men to be at Owls Tower at eleven. We are meeting James at midnight. He wants me to sign over the rights to my company.”“Yes sir,” nodded John. This is so weird seeing my best friend acting this way. As Andrew was getting a beating from my father, John confessed that my dad hired him as my body guard. John’s family are a part of a secret organization that protects very wealthy men. It doesn’t matter if the person is good or bad. If the money pays well, then the bodyguard the client receives will be even better.
James Cotton P.O.VI smile as everything that I’ve waited for fall into plan. I accept the call, and watch Belle as I pick up the phone. I put it to my ear waiting for the onslaught of threats I know I will receive. If ben is calling me then obviously that idiot Andrew Dawson failed. No matter, I always have a backup plan anyways.“Hi Ben!” I greeted with chipper.“WHERE IS MY WIFE!?” shouted ben from the other side of the line.I cringed and pulled the phone away from my ear.“GIVE ME BACK MY WIFE!!!” he continued to shout.“BEN!!!” Screamed Belle.“BELLE!” shouted Ben, when he heard her voice.I put the phone back to my ear, holding it a bit away because I know he wasn’t done yelling.“You know how this is going to go ben,” I drawled. “We’ve watched enough movies to know what happens here.”&ldq
Belle Bandit P.O.VI groaned in pain as I start to wake up from my sleep. My head is pounding from a serious migraine and my ears are ringing. I’m sitting on a chair with my feet tied with ropes and my arm tied behind my back to a chair. I feel like I got hit my Muhammad Ali in a fight and lost.Feeling Clueless as I scanned the room that I was in, “Where am I?”I was in an empty room with nothing else, but the silence to fill me. My mind tried to recall what I was doing last. Ben had already left for work, and Joe had left to pick up Chasity for school. I was the last to leave and as I was heading to my car, I turned around when I saw a reflection of a man approaching me from behind. They knocked me at the back of the head before I got the chance to turn around. Next thing I know, I wake up here.“Someone please help me!” I shouted as loud as I could, knowing that there’s a chance no one might come.
Joe Bandit P.O.VAndrews eyes widened and he smiled widely. “Ben!” he shouted in fake delight and arms open wide in gesture. His smile then dropped, “What a pleasant surprise,” he sneered.“You should have never came back,” growled my father. “Joe, get my son and Annie out of here.”“Ben,” Mrs. Dawson got ready to argue. She shook her head, not wanting to leave.I looked at my father, not wanting to leave either. Is he stupid!? If he let his guard down, Andrew will kill him.My father looked at me, knowing I was ready to argue. “Go you guys. Now.”John held the gun to Andrew, and backed away slowly. Making sure Mrs. Dawson and I were at the door before him.Hoping John will listen, I look at him with a serious look, “Stay with dad.”He nodded his head, accepting my order. I then turned to Mrs. Daw
