Javonte

As I traveled along the scenic route to Maryland, Serenity laid her head up against the window, admiring the view.

I grasped her hand and pressed a kiss upon her knuckles. I could sense a whirlwind of emotions coursing through our bond: the burden of the prophecy, the lingering memory of her mother, and the anticipation of meeting her father after 21 long years.

“Hot stuff; do you want to talk about it? You've been awfully quiet this entire car ride.”

Still nothing from her; a simple nod of her head, and she was back, staring out of the window.

“Just know I am here to share any burdens with you.” I rubbed her thigh.

Just like that, the car was silent once again. I turned on jazz music and continued on our journey.

I parked on the boardwalk, waking Serenity up. “Let's go have some fun to ease your mind.”

She rubbed her eyes and saw the sandy beach ahead of her. Her eyes gleamed with joy. We s

Serenity Leaving Atlantic City, I was skeptical about meeting my father. Me, showing up after 21 years and destroying his life with his new family. Then I wonder about what other secrets I will discover or if they will lead me closer to completing the prophecy. Watching the farmland pass by in a blur, Tay's emotions were laced with admiration and worry. If it weren't for him being by my side, I don't know if I would ever consider meeting my father with as much determination as I did. Drifting off during the car ride to New Moon, I reflected on the day's events. Tay surprised me with a spontaneous beach trip, which turned out to be incredibly therapeutic. We let out the toxins and self-doubt with our intense kissing and mind-blowing sex. The sunset we witnessed was even more breathtaking than the one from the mountaintop.Tay woke me when we arrived outside New Moon gated community. The armed warriors inspected the outside of the vehicle. Tay signed us in, and the warrior signaled th

Serenity As my father walked away, the air thickened with remorse and sympathy, and the Alpha and Luna trailed him into the study. Sounds of yelling and items being tossed around in rage. "Hey, sis, don't worry about him. He regrets not knowing about you.” Beta Brandon hugged me. “How old are you?”“I'm 21. What about you? Do we have any siblings?”“Nope, just us. I'm 19. Let me go check on him. I'll see you around.” He disappeared into the room, leaving me and Tay standing in the living room.My gaze was fixated on the door; hush murmurs were heard, and then they died out. Tay rubbed on my shoulders, relieving the tension. “Hot stuff; let's get some rest; give him time to adjust. This is hard for him.”He guided me through the packhouse until we reached the room Charlie had set up for us. Did I do the right thing? I questioned myself. His final reaction was not what I was expecting. I didn't want my father to blame h

Javonte The side of my neck was on fire. The last time this happened, Serenity was in danger. I tried mind-linking her, but there was no response, and then I saw Beta Jeremiah jogging out of the forest alone. “Where is she?” I yelled. “Seeking revenge,” he laughed, and I punched in his jaw. He spit blood and teeth on the ground, and his wolf came to the forefront, tackling me to the ground. We traded blows, getting the upper hand and letting Jasper join the fun. My punches were stronger, breaking his jaw like I promised; raining punches to his face, the crunch of his nose breaking, and knocking him out satisfied me. I retrieved my phone and said, “Are you guys home? A pissed-off Serenity is cutting through the forest near your cabin.”I hung up immediately, calling Alpha Trevor, “My fiery mate is going to breach your territory; I don't know what her motive is; please just use non-lethal force.” Alpha

Serenity I messed up big time listening to my father, a man who hasn't been a part of my life for 21 years. How could I be so stupid? When those bullets hit me, I knew I would never see Tay again and apologize for my stupidity. Who was going to bridge the gap between the supernatural beings? I failed both missions assigned to me.I floated in the dark realms for what seemed like hours, with no lights, no voices, just total silence. After floating around for so long, a bright white light appeared, and this comforting sensation settled around me. I felt her presence before I saw Selene. Not letting a word of disappointment come from her, I crawled to her and held the hem of her silky-smooth dress in my hands, snot running out of my nose, blurry vision, and a hoarse voice.“Please send me back; I am begging you, Moon Goddess. Tay needs to know that I'm sorry. He didn't deserve this.” Selene kneeled down and cleaned my face with a handkerchief.“It's too late, Serenity. He's already he

Serenity After weeks of physical therapy, I was released from the hospital. I had mobility back in my legs, and my wounds were healed. We arrived outside of Embermoon Steakhouse, and I was ecstatic. The restaurant was how I remembered it. The aroma of sizzling steaks and fresh herbs filled the air. Tay led me to the conference room, and at the table sat my closest friends, including Jordyn. I haven't seen or heard from Jordyn since I left for New Moon. A welcome home banner hung on the wall, and a gift basket was on the table.Jordyn and Camila rushed from their seats into my arms, forcing me to lose my balance. I stumbled over my feet, falling into Tay's chest. A low growl erupted, and Tay snapped, "Careful, you two. She's still recovering.” They retreated, giving me a second to find my bearings. “I'm fine, Tay. It was an accident.” “Smurf, I'm glad you are doing better. I missed the hell out of you.” Corey hugged and kissed me. Lukas just smiled and waved. He was the quiet on

Javonte Jasper sensed danger in the crisp night air, and following his instincts, he bolted towards the mumbled screaming. The urgency in his stride mirrors the adrenaline coursing through my veins. We made it to the deepest part of the territory. The frightening screams, watching the chaos unfold right in front of me. I spotted a lone wolf; it wasn't a rogue, but a pack wolf. Another pack was brave enough to challenge my father's authority as Alpha. We circled each other, growling and snarling. Despite my warning, the lone wolf didn't retreat at my threatened tone or dominance. The wolf lunged forward, sidestepping his attack, and with a swift motion, I sliced down its chest. A whimper of pain left his mouth. Ripping him backward by his hind legs as he tries to escape. He reverted to his human form, his hands raised and surrendering. “WHAT PACK ARE YOU FROM?” I demanded, my voice laced with authority. Through the coughs of blood, he managed to utter, “Slasher Pack.” With

Javonte But what I wasn't expecting was to hear another voice, "Your family member was in an accident. Come with a doctor and no one else." The female voice on the other end seemed caring. However, I was a little skeptical about why she wanted me to come alone. I quickly jotted down notes and requested a pack doctor to journey with me to this unknown address. We arrived outside a rustic cottage deep in the forest; nestled among tall, whispering pines. The scene was almost surreal, like stepping into a different era. An older woman was sitting on the porch swing, seemingly anticipating our arrival. She stood up and, without a word, opened the door and ushered us in. The atmosphere inside the cottage was warm but carried an air of mystery. "Doctor, the young lady is in the last room on the left." The doctor glanced at me briefly before walking away. "Thank you, Ma'am, for taking care of my fiancée. Here's some money for the trouble we caused." I produced a check for ten thousand d

I woke up with electrifying tingles covering my body and Tay's mouth-watering spearmint scent surrounding me. Rolling over and facing him, placing tiny kisses on his lips. A hum of satisfaction left his mouth. Untangling from his embrace, the sun shines brightly in my bedroom.Wait, when did I get home?My body was extremely sore, and my head was pounding. I felt around and felt gauze wrapped around my head. I must've banged my head harder than I realized. “You have a concussion and staples in your head, hot stuff.” Tay stopped me from removing the bandages. Leaning down and kissing him, our lips meet in desperation and a need for reassurance. Our tongues clash with each other, seeking dominance. We broke apart, panting and breathless, the intensity of the moment lingering between us."What happened?" I asked, my head still pounding away like a beating drum. Tay's demeanor changed. He steadied his breathing, searching for the right words to say, "Slasher Pack attacked my pack, and y

Serenity  The morning light filtered through the curtains. I woke with a smile, my body humming with energy I hadn’t felt in days. The ache in my limbs was gone, the nausea a distant memory. For the first time in what felt like forever, I felt whole. I sat up in bed, blinking and inhaling the crisp morning air. Tay was still asleep beside me, one arm draped protectively across my waist. I couldn’t help but smile at the sight of him—my rock, my peace, my partner.  Slipping out from under his arm, carefully not to disturb him. He needed just as much rest as possible. I stretched, rotated my bones, and marveled at how light my body felt. The events of the past few days had been a whirlwind, but now, for the first time, I could focus on what came next. Meadowood. The name alone brought a surge of bittersweet memories. It had been our home, our sanctuary, and it had been torn apart. But it

Serenity The fire began to burn lower, and packs and covens mingled in ways they never had before. Hybrids sat side by side with witches, sharing stories and laughter. Werewolves demonstrated their strength and agility, impressing young witches who countered with displays of magic. Humans, no longer on the fringes, found their place in the circle, welcomed as allies. Elder Tony, who had stayed quiet after his earlier toast, rose from his seat once more. The crowd hushed almost instantly, turning their attention to the elder, whose wisdom they had long respected. “I have seen countless eras,” he began, his voice steady and filled with emotion. “I have seen alliances crumble and trust shattered by fear and hatred. Tonight, I have seen something I never thought possible: true unity. You have all proven that we are stronger together than apart. This isn’t just a new beginning—it’s a new way of life.”He gestured toward Tay and me. “Leaders like these are rare. They didn’t just lead

Javonte The battlefield was eerily quiet now, the echoes of battle cries and snarls replaced by the groans of the wounded and the sounds of movement as survivors picked through the wreckage of war. The low murmurs of survivors tending to each other. The acrid stench of blood and smoke still hung heavy in the air, but it felt different—less oppressive. The ground was littered with remnants of a battle that felt like it had lasted an eternity. The war was over. It felt like the weight of centuries was lifting. My fur was matted with blood—some mine, most not. Shifting back to my human form, I grimaced when the dull ache in my ribs reminded me of the toll this war had taken. I leaned against a half-broken tree, taking in the sight around me. The hybrids worked tirelessly, their heightened strength allowing them to move the heaviest bodies and debris with ease. Their human forms blend seamlessly with their wolf instincts. Jordyn directed a group of witches while they chanted healin

Serenity "Fuck, it's too many of them." I sneered. Our warriors put up a good fight, but we were outnumbered. A dark chuckle left out of Jeremiah's mouth, blood falling down out of the corners of his mouth. "You may have defeated me; however, my sister is unhinged and wants your very essence to make her invincible." With one last glimpse of my father, blood surrounded his dark gray eyes, and his body temperature decreased. "Goodbye, Father." My claws ripped out his throat, squirting blood all over my face. Pushing his body off of mine and scanning the chaos for Tiffany. I spotted Tiffany closing in on Lillian and Sam from behind. In lightning speed, my palms radiated a massive fireball, launching it in her direction. Catching her off guard when the fireball hit her on impact. Tiffany pushed through the fray, her eyes locked on me, a wicked smile curling her lips. Shifting into her black and brown wolf mid-run, matted fur, and white foam around its mouth. It reminded me of

Serenity We left Atlantic City in a rush, heading back to Fox Village to prepare for this war. In the past 24 hours, I had a lot to reflect on. My mind is going over every possible outcome, but one thing for certainty is that we could not lose. Lost in my thoughts, the two hour car ride went by in a blur. Inside of Fox Village territory, the Alpha Triplets were already positioned, their faces hardened, their eyes scanning the tree line for any sign of the rogues. Lillian had set up a makeshift medical station in the village’s center, where she was calmly giving orders to the medics and checking supplies, ready to tend to the wounded. Lee was coordinating with the scouts, ensuring every attack point was fortified, while Latrell kept a careful eye on the hidden paths where the women and children waited, protected by several of our strongest fighters. To my surprise, my pack members were helping out where they were needed. The unity of Fox Village and Meadowood members was amazi

Javonte Serenity narrowed her eyes, catching the tension in my voice. "Javonte, I can sense when you're hiding something. What did that message say?" I sighed, realizing there was no way to keep it from her. "It was a warning, Serenity. Someone wants me to meet them at the ridge before dawn alone." Her eyes widened with worry. "This could be a trap. Whoever’s behind this knows too much about us already. I don't like you going alone." Dr. Rivers stepped forward, her face grave. "If this is truly connected to Jeremiah and Tiffany, we need to consider that whoever contacted you might be planning to lure you into an ambush. But if there’s any chance they have information, it’s worth investigating." I glanced at Serenity, her face set with determination. "I won’t be able to live with myself if you’re put in danger again because of me," I said softly, brushing a strand of hair from her face. "But we have to take this chance. If they know something, we might be able to finally get ahea

Javonte          "I'm still not seeing. What does this have to do with Serenity if she is already  21?" I blurted out.         "Alpha, are you positive that she is 21?" Headmistress Toya spoke for the first time since Dr. Rivers started explaining the sacred wolf.          "I'm 100 percent positive. Serenity came back into my life on her 21st birthday. She was partying at the Dark World nightclub." I confirm. "That was the only reason why I went out that night."         "See, Alpha, that's where you are wrong. That was the date that the Moon's found Serenity, but it's not her correct birthday. Do you even know her birth name?"         "Of course, I know her name. It's Brianna Williams. The Moon's had her since Embermoon Coven was destroyed. I have heard the stories and assumed her birth

Serenity I led him into the ensuite, and I gently guided Tay to sit at the vanity, catching his reflection in the mirror—a blend of exhaustion and relief. I rummaged through the drawers until I found a comb and brush, then set to work, carefully loosening his braids and running my fingers through his thick, tangled hair. With each gentle pull, I could feel him relax, the tension easing while I untangled the braids and massaged his scalp, combing away remnants of dirt and debris that clung from their journey. Neither of us spoke. The silence wrapped around us like a comforting blanket, offering a peaceful reprieve from everything that had happened. Despite all that weighed on our minds, this was a moment for just us, a quiet communion in the stillness of the room. A breath of relief flooded from his mouth while I washed his hair. The scent of lavender and spearmint engulfed the walk-in shower. Ta

Serenity A sudden flash of light made me jump. I spun around, heart pounding, when two figures appeared on the lake’s edge, their silhouettes framed by a silvery-blue glow. When the light faded, I saw Jordyn and Latrell, looking a bit worse but alive. Relief flooded me. “Jordyn! Latrell!” I scrambled to my feet, unable to hide my surprise. “What—how did you find me?” Jordyn’s face softened, and she gave a small, reassuring smile. “It’s a long story, Serenity. But we don’t have much time. There’s something you need to know.” Her voice was steady but urgent, and I could see the strain in her eyes.
