Serenity

Camila has been a hot mess since Franklin disappeared from campus. His roommates told us he was packing up to leave just before he disappeared. A week later, they made a school announcement that he had passed away.

I held her in my arms and let her cry her heart out. She had told me how he had made her this beautiful dinner and bought her this lovely bouquet of flowers. The last time she saw him; they had spent the night cuddling in each other's arms.

“Serenity, I thought he was the one for me, and now that he is gone, I will never know.” She cried even harder.

My heart broke for her. Even though Franklin and I didn't exactly click, he was a decent person who brought joy to my best friend's life.

I hated seeing Camila like this, crying all the time and barely functioning. Franklin always put her happiness and health above his own. I know Franklin wouldn’t want Camila moping around. I decided to host a Halloween party in hon

JavonteI arrived a little after eleven o'clock, and this house was spooky. The fog machines gave off this haunted house vibe. The forest edge brought it all together. The music was heard miles up the road. The party consists of humans and supernaturals. I strolled around back and got a few beers. I saw Serenity bouncing around chatting endlessly with the partygoers. Grabbing her attention, I placed my arm around her waist and inhaled her hazelnut scent, and the electrifying sensation transpired. I love the way it felt when our body parts touched. She was perfect for me. I spotted my cousins and I left to go chat with them. My cousin, Latrell, was flirting with Camila; it seemed like she had completely forgotten about Franklin the way she was all over him.Lee and I posted up on the wall, watching the partygoers flirt, dry hump, play beer pong, dance, and much more. There was this magnetic pull that led me outside. There was muffled screaming coming from in front of the house wher

Serenity: Age 19Every year since I turned 13, my birthday has been crappy. This year was no different. Camila dropped out of school to deal with pack drama. I've tried to contact Javonte numerous times, but no response. I saw the bastard that raped me again and I felt no sympathy towards him. He had lost his football scholarship, undergone a partial leg amputation, and suffered damage to his manhood. Despite his wish for the brown wolf to end his life, I found relief in the fact that it hadn't. Now, he must confront those haunting memories repeatedly.I left my therapy appointment in a great mood; my doctor had lowered the dosage of my antidepressants. She was proud of how far I had come. I guess confronting my attacker and letting him know how I felt helped with my depression. I strolled around town, enjoying this beautiful weather. When I returned home, my parents' car was parked outside. Dropping my bags on the ground and sprinting into the house. Barreling through their room, j

Javonte My cousin and I were in the city on a training mission when I heard Serenity's voice screaming. It's been months since I spoke to her. "Help me, help me. My house is on fire." Serenity's mocha chocolate skin glistened. Even in her distressed state, she was still beautiful. The worried tone in her voice and the sense of urgency when she spotted us. Taking action, Lillian called 9-1-1, and we followed Serenity back to her house. The fire was worse than I expected; flames were shooting out of the windows. The fire had engulfed her entire home."My parents are still inside. Please help them." Serenity was shaking and screaming hysterically. Lee blocked her pathway and held her back from running into that burning inferno.I found an opening and rushed in. I ripped my shirt and tied it around my mouth. I stooped low to the floor, listening for any noise. Wandering around the first floor, I saw two bodies lying in the bathroom, unconscious. Mind linking Lee and Latrell to help me

Serenity I found myself at the Whimsical Emporium; the lights were off and the door was locked. “I was wondering when you were going to seek me out," Jordyn said behind my back.  “You knew this was going to happen all along. I saw it in one of my visions. What the fuck is happening with me?” I grunted.  “Follow me, and I'll help you understand who you are.” Jordyn led me down the street to the Embermoon Steakhouse. We strolled around the restaurant, through the kitchen, and down a long corridor. She opened up the door, and it led downstairs. “What I'm about to show and tell you must be kept between us. If you go down these stairs, you agree to these terms.” Jordyn disclosed as she waved down the stairs.  I was hesitant, even though my intuition told me to trust her. I inhaled and exhaled and proceeded down the stairs. The walls were illuminated with floating candles; the further down I went, the more I felt like I

Javonte At the dinner, my emotions were all over the place, and I couldn't figure out why. The side of my neck started to burn. And Jasper let out this painful howl. Clutching the table, my claws elongated, brown fur sprouted along my body, and my face morphed into a snout. “Jasper, no shifting in the house. Give Javonte back control now.” My father commanded. “You don't understand; she needs me. Let me protect her.” Jasper begged. Jasper snarled at my father, and Majestic came to the forefront, growling. Jasper whimpered under his aura. Needless to say, he was pissed and retreated. The pain in my neck worsened. “Tay, please listen to me. We need to get to the city and find Serenity. Maybe she can help with the pain you are feeling. What if it is her pain you are feeling?” Jasper paced back and forth in my mind. Not giving his words a second thought, I ran out through the door, the wood exploding on impact and shift

Serenity The chair screeched across the floor, and the door banged against the wall. I wrapped my arms around my body. The night air blew away my tears. I had to be so unlucky. I guess if it wasn't for bad luck, I wouldn't have any luck at all. I walked to my old house. The grass was overgrown, vines crawled up the walls, and the doors and windows were boarded up. I yanked on the plywood, and it didn't budge. I was searching for another way in when Corey handed me a crowbar, and I worked my way around the door frame to reveal the front door still intact. I fidget with my keys and unlock the door. The dust flew up, the furniture was covered with linens, cobwebs laced the light fixtures, and the wood creaked.Touching our family photos along the walls and taking the most recent picture of us off the wall, holding it to my chest. I opened my parents' room door, and the waterworks began again. Memories of them flooded my mind. I slowly walked into their closet, retrieved my mother's favo

Javonte I closed the room door behind me and placed my head on the door. I listened to her hiccup and snore. Out of nowhere, my heart began to pound. Clutching my chest, I gripped the handle of her room door to see her arms wailing and legs swinging wildly.I sat on the edge of the bed and rubbed her body. The covers were sticking to her body; I removed the wet sheets and placed my body against hers. Her wild movements ceased, shifting closer to me, leaving no spaces in between. Those electrifying tingles erupted everywhere our bodies touched. At this exact moment, I knew I wanted her as my mate. Whether it was forbidden or not, she was mine. She was mine to protect, cherish, and love until the end of time. Twirling my finger in her curly hair, exhaustion settled in, and I nodded off with her head in the crook of my neck. “Tay, it's time for work, son.” My mom's soft voice woke me up. I blinked rapidly and adjusted to my surroundings. Serenity had her hand under my shirt and her legs

Serenity It was bittersweet leaving Tay and his family. In a matter of twenty-four hours, they made me feel welcome and not like a plague walking this earth. They accepted me for me.We chatted until my cab arrived, and saying goodbye was harder than I thought it would be. I don't know if it's the fact of him being my mate or his presence that was comforting. Embracing him in a tight hug, I got even more of his scent all over his hoodie. Teasing his mark one last time, he let out a strange sound between a moan and a whimper.“Stay safe, hot stuff.” Tay turned sideways to hide his tears from me, but it didn’t mask the sadness in his voice. He closed the cab door and bolted into the woods. The sound of sad howling was heard driving away from Meadowood. I moved the pendant back and forth on my neck, thinking about how nervous Tay looked when he handed me my present. His brown eyes scanned over my face, his shaky hands when he put the necklace around my neck, and the deep breath he let o

Serenity  The morning light filtered through the curtains. I woke with a smile, my body humming with energy I hadn’t felt in days. The ache in my limbs was gone, the nausea a distant memory. For the first time in what felt like forever, I felt whole. I sat up in bed, blinking and inhaling the crisp morning air. Tay was still asleep beside me, one arm draped protectively across my waist. I couldn’t help but smile at the sight of him—my rock, my peace, my partner.  Slipping out from under his arm, carefully not to disturb him. He needed just as much rest as possible. I stretched, rotated my bones, and marveled at how light my body felt. The events of the past few days had been a whirlwind, but now, for the first time, I could focus on what came next. Meadowood. The name alone brought a surge of bittersweet memories. It had been our home, our sanctuary, and it had been torn apart. But it

Serenity The fire began to burn lower, and packs and covens mingled in ways they never had before. Hybrids sat side by side with witches, sharing stories and laughter. Werewolves demonstrated their strength and agility, impressing young witches who countered with displays of magic. Humans, no longer on the fringes, found their place in the circle, welcomed as allies. Elder Tony, who had stayed quiet after his earlier toast, rose from his seat once more. The crowd hushed almost instantly, turning their attention to the elder, whose wisdom they had long respected. “I have seen countless eras,” he began, his voice steady and filled with emotion. “I have seen alliances crumble and trust shattered by fear and hatred. Tonight, I have seen something I never thought possible: true unity. You have all proven that we are stronger together than apart. This isn’t just a new beginning—it’s a new way of life.”He gestured toward Tay and me. “Leaders like these are rare. They didn’t just lead

Javonte The battlefield was eerily quiet now, the echoes of battle cries and snarls replaced by the groans of the wounded and the sounds of movement as survivors picked through the wreckage of war. The low murmurs of survivors tending to each other. The acrid stench of blood and smoke still hung heavy in the air, but it felt different—less oppressive. The ground was littered with remnants of a battle that felt like it had lasted an eternity. The war was over. It felt like the weight of centuries was lifting. My fur was matted with blood—some mine, most not. Shifting back to my human form, I grimaced when the dull ache in my ribs reminded me of the toll this war had taken. I leaned against a half-broken tree, taking in the sight around me. The hybrids worked tirelessly, their heightened strength allowing them to move the heaviest bodies and debris with ease. Their human forms blend seamlessly with their wolf instincts. Jordyn directed a group of witches while they chanted healin

Serenity "Fuck, it's too many of them." I sneered. Our warriors put up a good fight, but we were outnumbered. A dark chuckle left out of Jeremiah's mouth, blood falling down out of the corners of his mouth. "You may have defeated me; however, my sister is unhinged and wants your very essence to make her invincible." With one last glimpse of my father, blood surrounded his dark gray eyes, and his body temperature decreased. "Goodbye, Father." My claws ripped out his throat, squirting blood all over my face. Pushing his body off of mine and scanning the chaos for Tiffany. I spotted Tiffany closing in on Lillian and Sam from behind. In lightning speed, my palms radiated a massive fireball, launching it in her direction. Catching her off guard when the fireball hit her on impact. Tiffany pushed through the fray, her eyes locked on me, a wicked smile curling her lips. Shifting into her black and brown wolf mid-run, matted fur, and white foam around its mouth. It reminded me of

Serenity We left Atlantic City in a rush, heading back to Fox Village to prepare for this war. In the past 24 hours, I had a lot to reflect on. My mind is going over every possible outcome, but one thing for certainty is that we could not lose. Lost in my thoughts, the two hour car ride went by in a blur. Inside of Fox Village territory, the Alpha Triplets were already positioned, their faces hardened, their eyes scanning the tree line for any sign of the rogues. Lillian had set up a makeshift medical station in the village’s center, where she was calmly giving orders to the medics and checking supplies, ready to tend to the wounded. Lee was coordinating with the scouts, ensuring every attack point was fortified, while Latrell kept a careful eye on the hidden paths where the women and children waited, protected by several of our strongest fighters. To my surprise, my pack members were helping out where they were needed. The unity of Fox Village and Meadowood members was amazi

Javonte Serenity narrowed her eyes, catching the tension in my voice. "Javonte, I can sense when you're hiding something. What did that message say?" I sighed, realizing there was no way to keep it from her. "It was a warning, Serenity. Someone wants me to meet them at the ridge before dawn alone." Her eyes widened with worry. "This could be a trap. Whoever’s behind this knows too much about us already. I don't like you going alone." Dr. Rivers stepped forward, her face grave. "If this is truly connected to Jeremiah and Tiffany, we need to consider that whoever contacted you might be planning to lure you into an ambush. But if there’s any chance they have information, it’s worth investigating." I glanced at Serenity, her face set with determination. "I won’t be able to live with myself if you’re put in danger again because of me," I said softly, brushing a strand of hair from her face. "But we have to take this chance. If they know something, we might be able to finally get ahea

Javonte          "I'm still not seeing. What does this have to do with Serenity if she is already  21?" I blurted out.         "Alpha, are you positive that she is 21?" Headmistress Toya spoke for the first time since Dr. Rivers started explaining the sacred wolf.          "I'm 100 percent positive. Serenity came back into my life on her 21st birthday. She was partying at the Dark World nightclub." I confirm. "That was the only reason why I went out that night."         "See, Alpha, that's where you are wrong. That was the date that the Moon's found Serenity, but it's not her correct birthday. Do you even know her birth name?"         "Of course, I know her name. It's Brianna Williams. The Moon's had her since Embermoon Coven was destroyed. I have heard the stories and assumed her birth

Serenity I led him into the ensuite, and I gently guided Tay to sit at the vanity, catching his reflection in the mirror—a blend of exhaustion and relief. I rummaged through the drawers until I found a comb and brush, then set to work, carefully loosening his braids and running my fingers through his thick, tangled hair. With each gentle pull, I could feel him relax, the tension easing while I untangled the braids and massaged his scalp, combing away remnants of dirt and debris that clung from their journey. Neither of us spoke. The silence wrapped around us like a comforting blanket, offering a peaceful reprieve from everything that had happened. Despite all that weighed on our minds, this was a moment for just us, a quiet communion in the stillness of the room. A breath of relief flooded from his mouth while I washed his hair. The scent of lavender and spearmint engulfed the walk-in shower. Ta

Serenity A sudden flash of light made me jump. I spun around, heart pounding, when two figures appeared on the lake’s edge, their silhouettes framed by a silvery-blue glow. When the light faded, I saw Jordyn and Latrell, looking a bit worse but alive. Relief flooded me. “Jordyn! Latrell!” I scrambled to my feet, unable to hide my surprise. “What—how did you find me?” Jordyn’s face softened, and she gave a small, reassuring smile. “It’s a long story, Serenity. But we don’t have much time. There’s something you need to know.” Her voice was steady but urgent, and I could see the strain in her eyes.
