Connor stood aside and chuckled dubiously.

Spencer said nothing. He carefully lifted Ariana out of the car and placed her in the wheelchair.

Just as he was about to push her, Joanne stepped forward. "Let me do it."

Pushing the wheelchair, she said to Spencer, "I'll take Ari up. You can wait for me in the lobby, okay?"

Too tired to mind the situation, Ariana remained silent.

Joanne pushed her into the elevator.

Once inside, Joanne wasted no time. "Ari, I hope you don't get any wrong ideas. Spence is just a righteous person. Him helping you doesn't mean he has feelings for you."
