Spencer made sure to close the bedroom door before opening the main door.

"Jojo?" He then asked with a smile, "You're still up?"

After their dinner together, Spencer had told Joanne that he had work to do.

Joanne dared not disturb him since she knew how much of a workaholic he was. She only came over after checking that it was almost time for him to wrap up his work.

She said in a gentle voice, "Spence, the water heater in my room isn't working. I haven't been able to take a shower."

Spencer replied softly, "You should call the receptionist and have someone check the water heater, then."

"It'll take quite a while, then." Joanne glanced at his room. "Can I take a shower in your room?"

Spencer closed the door behind him and stood outside with her.

"I'm still working. Let's go to your room. I'll make a call and wait for the staff with you."
