Noelle didn't resist when she caught that familiar scent, allowing Quentin to pull her into his embrace. When he wrapped his arms around her soft form again, it felt as if he had been given life again. He took a deep breath, savoring the sweet scent of her hair, and his heart swelled with contentment.

"Go to sleep," she murmured, nuzzling her face in his chest. Quentin tightened his arms around her, and the two of them drifted off to sleep wrapped in each other's arms.

When the morning light filtered through the sheer curtains, the woman in his arms stirred and opened her eyes. Quentin had been awake for some time now; with the person he had longed for in his arms, he couldn't possibly sleep.
