Chapter 323

When Quentin carried Noelle into the RV, she opened her eyes but didn't say a word. His gaze was gentle as he set her down on the bed and said softly, "I'm sorry, Elle. It's my fault for not being there for you when you needed me most."

Noelle ignored him. He had apologized so many times that his words had lost their meaning. Turning away from him, she looked out the window and refused to acknowledge him.

Quentin only noticed the dried mud on her down jacket at that moment. His heart ached again, as if he could picture her scrambling to find her ID on the ground. He called Martin. "Get me a women's down jacket in the smallest size you can find!"

After hanging up the phone, his forehead creased as he gazed at her back with a deep, sorrowful look. He could only imagine how terrified she must have been.

The staff from Restaurant Blanc delivered the food. Quentin brought it over to the table in the RV. "Since you're awake, come have something to eat," he said softly.
