At the Clinton Group, President Ives Clinton’s eyes were red. He looked like he had been deprived of sleep. On Sunday, he spent the whole day outside the Saxon estate waiting for Penny. Unbeknownst to him, Penny was still at His Shadow Resort.

He tried to call his fiancée, but the call didn't go through. It was clear that Penny had blocked his number. A feeling of suffocation overwhelmed him.

Everything he had been given to him by Storm Saxon. He didn't want his sister to date below her station. Also, he didn't want Penny to be a laughingstock to the Earl family.

What if Storm withdrew the funding and stopped the ongoing projects? He couldn’t go back to poverty. He wouldn’t allow his mother to wash people’s clothes again. It dawned on him that without Penny he was nothing.
