I checked out of the hotel yesterday to spend my final night with him, hoping to create memories that I can cherish when I return home. I’m not worried about the consequences; I’m old enough to understand the limits and repercussions of my actions. I realize this isn’t right, but I can’t resist it. He’s captured my heart and swept me off my feet. Just thinking about him feels like a slice of heaven and a dreamlike paradise. My phone suddenly rang startling me on my trance. I once dreamed of opening my own café or restaurant, but after what happened with my brother and our first venture together, I gave up. The memory of that one mistake haunts me—it nearly landed us in jail and almost cost my life but ended up losing him anyway. I glanced over all the food I had set out on the table before heading back to my room to call Evelyn. As I walked, I happily sang a Bruno Mars song, feeling excited and cheerful. But to my surprise, when I reached my room, she wasn't there. I searched the entire house, but there was no sign of Evelyn.I let out a deep sigh, sitting at the foot of the entrance stairs to my apartment, feeling both disappointed and sad. She always leaves without saying a word. Is she upset with me for turning her down? If only she knew it was the opposite of what she might think. Enrico Pov... Before returning to the Philippines to face my life, I took Kendra to her office one last time. I'll deeply miss my beautiful fiancée, the rainbow of my life. "Thank you, babe!" She blasted before getting out of the car but I stopped her. "I’ll come with you to your office, love. You know I’m going to miss you!" I said brightly, holding her wrist. She smiled and nodded, and I took her hand as we walked toward her office. All eyes were on us from the lobby to her office door, even her friend stared at us, stunned and wide-eyed. I winked at her friend, and she and her colleagues giggled. The moment I saw Danny, I knew he was troubled, yet he still managed a smile and greeted us, despite his rough day. Seeing us happily close together stung him—it was subtle, but I could tell. "Babe, are you sure your assistant is doing fine?" I ask Kendra. "Yeah! He is a man who keeps his personal life out when inside the office but he will come around if he needs help." Kendra beamed

Kendra Pov... "Kendra!" Sharon chirped peeping at the door."Come in?" I ushered her while I was still engrossed in my paperwork. "We need to talk," she began. I paused, turning to look at her. She only starts like this when something serious is on her mind—usually, it’s about my choices."Is something wrong? Did I miss anything?" I asked anxiously, worried I’d forgotten something while caught up in cuddling with Enrico—the last thing I wanted to happen. I’d nearly forgotten about that part. It’s unfair to Enrico. "Thank you for reminding me. I will talk to him when we go to the opening next month." I assured her. The hotel in Makati will have its pre-launched opening next month. "I'm just concerned Kendra. I hope you will not misunderstand me. Sometimes secrets are the thing that ruins wha
