Happy and Sad

t’s the next day and Rita and her parents slept at the hospital and the treatment for Martins is still going on and Rita’s mum woke up and she remembered that Mirabelle is not with them and she stood up from where she was seated at the reception and Rita also opened her eyes and she saw her mum about to walks out of the reception and she stop her and she walks closer to her.

“ Mum! Where are you going to?” She ask.

“ Mirabelle did not come back home, I am worried, I do not know where she slept last night”she says.

“ Mum! I told that Mirabelle is not a kid and she will take care of herself” Rita says.

“ Wait a minute mum! Why is it always Mirabelle and not Rita always? Is Mirabelle more important than I am?” Rita ask in anger.

“ You both are important Rita but I need to go check the house and know what is going on, make sure you take care of your brother and also dad, I will be right back” she says and she left.

The maid knocks on the and Mirabelle gets scared and she stood up from the bed and she walks closer to the doorstep of the room.

“ Who is there?” She ask as she looks scared.

“ It’s me your personal maid” the maid says and Mirabelle opens the door and sue let the maid in.

“ Good morning ma’am, mr Charles said I should ask you what you will like to eat and what you will like to drink” the maid says.

“ The only thing I need right now is I want to leave, I was sold by my stepdad” she says and the maid have a pity on her but she can’t do anything.

“ I am sorry to hear that but there is nothing I can do about it but come to think of it. Why did your stepdad sold you? What about your mum? I guess your stepdad don’t have a single sympathy” the maid says.

“ My mum did not know about my stepdad dad selling to Mr Charles and she must be worried right now” she says.

“ How was your stepdad Abel to sold you off?” The maid ask.

“ He deceive me. Can I at least lend your cellphone to call my mum to tell her about her this?” She ask.

“ Sure! You can” the maid says and she brings out her cellphone from her maiden uniform and she hand over the cellphone to Mirabelle and she place the cellphone on her ear.

Her mum got home and she found the door luck and she could find Mirabelle around and she ask around in the neighborhood and one of the neighbors said ( Mirabelle and her stepdad stepped out together yesterday so you should ask your husband” he says and at that time she knows that something was fishy because she could remember asking her husband about Mirabelle and he told her that he hasn’t seen her and then her cellphone rings and she stare at her cellphone but it’s an unknown number and she picks up the call.

“ Mum! It’s Mirabelle” she says with tears already filled up her eyes.

“ Mirabell! Where are you? I have been searching for you” her mum says and her mum’s heart start to beat fast because she could hear Mirabelle crying and she knows that she might be a very bad situation.

“ What happened Mirabelle? And where are you? Why are you crying?” Her mum ask but she is already nervous.

“ Mum! Dad sold me yesterday to the wicked Billionaire. Mr Charles Bintang and I am sure that he didn’t tell you about this and I know that he must have pay Martins hospital bills, mum please do something, I do not want stay here, I do not like it here. Only God knows what Charles is up to” she says and the maid heard footsteps coming towards to Mirabelle’s room and the maid snatch her cellphone from Mirabelle and she ended the call, the door opens and it was the bodyguard.

“ Mr Bintang wants you in his room immediately” he says and at that time Mirabelle’s heart was beating so fast, her mum was still on the call and she heard what the bodyguard said and she was scared what might happen to her daughter and the maid ends the call and Mirabelle’s mum couldn’t get touch with her anymore and in anger and she stop a taxi and ran back to the hospital.

Mirabell in tears and crying because she does not know why Charles wants her in his room and the maid stood staring at her, the maid have pity on her but don’t know how to help her and a knock on the door and the maid opens the door and it was the bodyguard he handover a dress to maid to give Mirabelle, the maid shut the door.

“ This dress is for you and Mr Bintang wants you to wear it on” the maid says and she drop the dress on the bed and left the room, Mirabell stare at the dress. The dress is red shirt and sexy and she continues weeping staring at the dress but sue has not choice than to wear it on because she does not know what Charles is capable of doing.

Mirabelle’s mum got to the hospital in anger and she enters the ward Martins is and Martins was already awake and soon to be discharged and Rita notice that her mum looks very angry and she wonders what could be troubling her because she has never seen her mum in such a bad mood before.

“ Mum! Are you ok? Martins is awake and the doctor said he will be discharged today” she says and her mum stare at Mirabelle’s stepdad in anger and she walks cooed to him and she hit hard on the face and he got angry and wanted to hit his own back and Rita stop him.

“ Dad! We are in the hospital. At least you should respect mum, once a while. I know you are use in hitting her at home but please stop it. I will not allow this madness take over every-time” she says in anger and her dad got angry and yell at her.

“ Can’t you see, she started it first? Are you blind that you can’t see that she hit me first?” He says in anger.

“ I know she hit you first but that does not give you the permission to hit her back dad, I know she must have her resin for doing that. Who knows maybe hat you have done this time and mum can’t keep her emotions anymore because she knows that you still hit, she is use to it dad, I think you should ch she once in while” she says in anger.

“ Why do you have to stop him Rita? You would have let him hit me, you are right about what you said that I am used to it but this time around your dad has crossed the line” she says in anger.

“ Mum! What did dad did this time that make you hit so hard? I know that he must have done something weird this time around” Martins says.

“ Yes dear! Your dad did something very terrible, he sold Mirabelle to the wicked Billionaire Bintang and now she is in the city” she says tears.

“ What?!!” Martins and Rita say and their dad loos away.

“ Yes, I did and I have no regrets about that. That is what she deserves. At least I am sure you can now give our daughter attention, you can give Rita attention, I sold her and you can never see her again” he says and in anger Mirabelle’s mum wanted to hit her and Rita stop her.

“ It’s enough mum, I won’t allow you hit my dad again, I only supported you because I thought dad did the worst but after what you explained now, I can see he did the right thing” Rita says and her mum stare at her.

“ Is that what you will says? I did not blame you but I blame myself. I will do something about this” she says and she left the hospital.

“ Dad! I think you went to far this time around” Martins says in anger.

“ Son! I did this to save your life. I did you think I got the money” he says in anger.

“ You save my life but inconveniencing other people’s life, saving my life but making others miserable. That is so bad if you dad” Martins says.

“ That is enough Martins some time I wonders if it’s the same blood that runs through our vains, dad did the right thing and I know very soon mum will forget about her and then give me all the attention I sue to need, Mirabell will not take my place or distract anymore” she says and she smiled.

“ You just made it worst” Martins says and Rita stare at him and the she thought in her mind what if Mirabelle gets to find a handsome rich man to marry then she will be ahead of her.

“ But dad? What if Mirabelle got find someone in the city, I mean I rich guy and handsome then she will be ahead of me” she says and she already angry that her datent should have sold her instead of Mirabelle.

“ Dad! You should have sold me instead of Mirabelle, I am beautiful and I might just find someone rich and handsome in the city” she says.

“ Mirabell is now a slave and I am sure you wouldn’t want to be that. So tell which rich man will ever wants to go for pot slave girl like Mirabelle” her dad says.

“ But dad we always watch it in movies that the poor are being out by the rich” she says.

“ That is not true that is just a movie dear. If it’s so then we would have gotten a rich person to help us” he says and Rita smiled.
