“Why didn’t you tell me, babe?” Danielle looked furious. She runs her hand over her forehead in frustration. Janette lowered her head to face her covered lap on the bed; “that was what I wanted to tell you after we return from the clubhouse a week ago.” Danielle’s face quickly softened. She remembered Janette asking to speak to her, but she insisted that she take a rest. “I’m sorry, sweetie.” She sat down beside her on the bed. “It was stupid of me to believe them. I thought they were genuinely sorry. I’m going to end their career.” Janette said nothing, her thought lingered more on the good news they received early by the doctor. She unconsciously took her hand to her stomach and rub it gently; so I’m really pregnant again! She thought. “Are you feeling pain?" Danielle’s voice interrupted her thoughts, and she tilted her head to look at her before shaking her head; “no, no, I’m just happy.” She told the other woman truthfully, with her hand still lingering on her stomach.
