Thalia's POV

I stared at Luka, my mind spinning so fast I could barely keep up.

Garrett was his father. His father.

I wanted to deny it, to believe I had misheard, but the intensity in Luka’s eyes told me everything I needed to know.

I took a deep breath, forcing myself to push past the shock.

Focus, Thalia.

This doesn’t change anything. If anything, it only makes things clearer.

“I’m sorry, Luka, but my mind is made up. I’m not dropping this,” I said with a firm tone.

I swallowed hard, gripping my hands together. “I won’t let him keep doing this. I don’t care how long it takes. I’ll bring him down.”

Luka stared at me.

He looked deep in thought, before he finally exhaled and muttered, “You’re surprisingly stubborn.”

I blinked, startled by the almost amused tone in his voice.

Then, to my shock, he sighed and said, “Fine. I’ll help you.”

I straightened, my heart skipping a beat.

He ran a hand through his hair, looking frustrated, but his next words were firm.

Thalia's POVLuka stood at the entrance, his expression unreadable in the dim light of my room. For a second, I thought he might change his mind and leave, but then he exhaled and asked, “Can I come in?”I nodded quickly, stepping aside to give him room.He walked in but didn’t sit. Instead, he leaned against the far corner of the wall, arms crossed, his gaze flickering around my small space.I sat on the edge of my bed, hesitating before gesturing at it. “You can sit, you know.”Luka shook his head. “I’m fine here.”I frowned. That was… odd. He didn’t seem tense exactly, but there was a distance to him, like he was keeping himself in check.Still, I let it go. He was here. That was enough.A brief silence settled between us before he finally asked, “So? What’s your plan?”I straightened slightly. “To expose Garrett?”He nodded. “Yeah. You said you wouldn’t let him keep doing this. How do you plan on stopping him?”I exhaled, my fingers twisting together in my lap. “I don’t have ever

The weight of what I was about to do settled heavily on my shoulders.I had needed this time to prepare, to steel myself for the inevitable. At some point, it looked like I was procrastinating the whole thing—until I decided to just fuck it and get it over with. Now that I was here, doubt gnawed at the edges of my resolve.I turned slightly, glancing over my shoulder.Luka stood at the corner of the hallway, arms crossed, red eyes locked on me with an intensity that sent a strange comfort through me. Concern was etched into his expression. He didn’t like this. Not one bit. But he was here. He would do his part. The plan was simple—at least, in theory. The moment I stepped inside, Luka would find a way to get to Ronan. I had to buy him time. Luka’s POVAs soon as Thalia disappeared into my father’s office, I took off, my legs pumping as I raced toward the palace. My heartbeat pounded in my ears, drowning out every rational thought except one—I had to reach the Alpha.I didn’t know how the hell I was going to do it, didn’t know if he’d even listen to me, but I clenched my teeth and swore under my breath. I would get to him.Thalia had trusted me.She was putting herself in the hands of a monster for this plan to work, and if I failed… I shook my head, pushing the thought away. I couldn’t fail. Not now.A sharp, burning rage coiled in my gut, tightening with every step I took.My father. Garret. That bastard. That sick, perverted excuse for a man. He was a snake, a predator, a depraved, rotting stain on the world. I had spent my whole life under his thumb, forced to pretend, forced to endure. But this… this was different. This time, I had a chance to act.And I would. The memories threatened to surface, but I shoved them

But now, standing here, his breath warm against my skin, I felt like a rabbit caught in a snare.No. I couldn’t afford to freeze. I had to stay in control—what little of it I had left.Swallowing back the bile rising in my throat, I took a slow step forward, then another, my hands gripping the fabric of my dress like a lifeline as I turned to face him. “Garret,” I began, “I think maybe… we should slow down. Chapter 1 Thalia’s POVThe crystal chandelier up above illuminated the ballroom, which held one of the grandest events of the year: my 4th-year marriage anniversary ceremony to Alpha Caden. I was supposed to be happy, to feel great knowing that I'd reached this milestone, but sadly, as I accepted congratulatory messages, raised wine glasses, and murmured well wishes, I felt empty. It's been a whole 2 hours into the ceremony, yet Caden wasn't here.Where was he?My husband, my Alpha, Caden Sinclair of the Bloodstone Pack, was supposed to have been here ages ago with me to entertain the guests. I mean, this was ‘our’ anniversary, and I had taken great lengths to ensure that it was a success. Yet, he disappeared this morning, leaving me alone in this embarrassing situation. How could I explain that I didn't know why the Alpha was missing from his own anniversary?“Long live Luna Thalia.” A guest hailed, and I turned, my lips stretching into that fake smile I was constantly dishing out t

Caden took a step forward, glaring at me like he was a predator and I was prey.“In case you've forgotten, I am the Alpha of bloodstone pack.” He growled, his amber eyes flickering with red which means…his wolf was on the surface. “No one leaves my back unless I allow it.”I swallowed hard, summoning what little courage I had left. “You can’t keep me here against my will. You’ve already taken everything from me—”But then, I noticed his gaze flick past me, a silent signal I almost missed. Panic surged through me, and I tried to turn around, but before I could react—CrackA sudden searing pain exploded at the back of my head, and the world began to spin. My knees buckled, and I collapsed to the floor, vision blurring as I struggled to stay conscious.“Well, that was easier than I thought.” I heard Astrid sneer at me.“Poor, pathetic Thalia,” she cooed mockingly. “The Rogue Sovereign will be pleased to hav

A few men lingered in the hallway, talking in hushed voices, their gazes snapping toward me the moment I entered.I forced myself to ignore the sudden discomfort crawling up my spine. I needed to do this.I cleared my throat, stepping toward the nearest group of men. "I—I'm looking for Luka," I said, trying to sound steady. "Do you k
