The fifth townLeiyaBy sunrise, my men and I resumed our journey to the next town. There was awkwardness that hung in the air between Kamael and I. When I mentioned that my heart belonged to someone else the night before, he went pale like he had seen a ghost. He said nothing else after that, biding me goodnight before leaving. By the morrow, he spoke to me only when it was necessary and even then, he refused to look me in the eyes. I felt terrible throughout the first day of our journey. My eyes would occasionally wander to him on his horse, hoping that he would look at me with a smile. His charming, breathtaking smile, but he never did. Kaltain Leiya There was worry behind my sister's eyes when she asked to see the prince of Valinor. I still couldn't believe she was married. It felt strange to refer to him as her husband. Even though she was older than twelve, she was still very young, barely even sixteen. But it was obvious she loved him deeply.
