Asher's POV

Rushing back home after Liam informed me of Isla's attack on Raven earlier today.

As soon as I stepped inside, Liam walked towards me, his head bowed in submission.

“I'm so sorry Alpha, I wasn't paying attention and got carried away. I deserve to be punished” he says.

Seething with rage right now, my wolf wants to hurt him so bad for neglecting his duties and causing our mate to get hurt.

“Asher” Derek calls quietly, pulling me out of my impending outburst.

“I'll deal with you later”. I say, dismissing him and going to look for Raven.

I needed to see her right now and hold her in my hands. I met Raven in the room, drying her hair.

I rushed over to her, picking her up and hugging her tightly, breathing in her scent.

She winced a little, causing me to freeze and step back a little from her.

She looks up at me with a small smile on her face, but I don't buy it. She's trying to cover up her pain, I see it in her eyes.

Inspecting her closer, I see a cut on her forehead which

Asher's POV Isla shivers, fear coating her features. She struggled with the chains binding her hands.“Fuck you Asher” she spat. “I love you. Everything I ever did was for you”. She cries out.“I'm not yours and neither are you mine Isla. How many times do I have to say this to you.” I snap.“Please don't make an excuse for your wicked act. We both know what you're capable of and how wicked you are” I growl out.“It's time for you to be punished Isla” I tell her, giving her a small smile.Without warning, I plunged the dagger into her left eye, stabbing deeply. Isla screamed out, crying in pain.Tears of blood streaming down her face. “Don't you ever look at my mate again” I roar at her.Her cries turned into whimpers, she was on the verge of passing out. I know Derek will take care of that.My work here is done. “Dale”. I call out, grabbing his attention. I used a clean cloth to wipe the blood on my hands.“Thay are all yours now, make sure they don't die. I promised Raven not to ki

Raven's POV Shocked at what Liam just revealed to us now. My father is involved in something with Alpha Sean. This couldn't be good. What could they be up to? And what could those boxes they are smuggling in contain?I kept asking myself. I could see the same questions whirling in Asher's eyes.“Do you think there is a relationship between those boxes and the rogue wolves?” Dale asks, breaking the silence.“What do you think?” Derek asks his twin.“Hmm, in my opinion I think there is”. Dale replies to him.Asher has a pensive look on his face, tapping his fingers on the table and rubbing his chin with the other hand.“Asher, what's going on in your head?” I ask. He turns to me, his expression unreadable.“The connection between Alpha Sean and your father I don't doubt. They seem to think alike and they've been seen together countless of times” he says.“But why smuggle boxes at midnight, if it's not something bad or shady. They are up to something and it's not good” he says, with a

Asher's POV The run with Raven was therapeutic, I needed the release. It's been far too long and I could finally run with my mate.My wolf wanted to mount her and claim her in the woods but I had to hold him back. Raven's not ready yet for that. She's still getting used to being in her wolf form. I could see her eyes light up in excitement when I suggested the run.The tension in her shoulders released after the run. She also needed it as I did.“Thank you for today Asher, I didn't realize I needed the run.” She says, with a smile on her face.“We should have done that since, guess with everything that had been happening I forgot”. I say, walking over to the bed.“Yeah, I know, but I had fun today. We should do it often and soon.” She says, as she dries her hair.“Of course we will. Come here.” I say, patting the bed. She walks over, lying down beside me.I place her head on my chest, kissing the top of her head. She hums in content and snuggles closer to me.“Asher” she says“Yes” I

Raven's POV I don't know how long I slept for, I can't remember all that happened. I remember waking up with the need to build my nest.I went all frenzy trying to arrange Asher's clothes and pillows to build the perfect nest and then Asher's…Asher's scent. The scent of my mate, the haze of lust and the need to mate completely took over and all I wanted and craved was the knot of my mate. The sex, that was intense. I remember bits and bits of it. I can't imagine I went all wild on Asher and my wolf staking her claim on him.I can only blame it on my heat. I've never had one this intense before. I usually use heat suppression drugs to suppress my heat. But after mating with Asher, I didn't use them anymore. The smell of pancakes brings my attention back to the present.Asher walks in holding a tray containing pancakes, waffles and an orange juice.I perk up at the smell of the food and the sight of Asher's shirtless look.I guess my heat period isn't completely over yet, heat pools at

Asher's POV When I got the message from Derek to come down to the office without Raven, I knew they had found something. It had to involve Nicholas, Raven's father. I quickly excused myself and Raven didn't seem to mind or think much about it .Clearly exhausted from her heat and needing to rest. She just hummed out a reply. It's a good thing for me anyway.“Talk to me, what's going on?” I ask, as I enter the office, going straight to my seat. Both Derek and Dale were already seated in the seats opposite mine. Connor and Liam leaning against the window frame with their legs crossed and arms folded.Lucian has his head buried in his laptop in the seat close to the bookshelf. “Lucian has something to show up.” Derek says, pointing at Lucian.Lucian raises his head at the sound of his name, bringing his laptop over to my desk, he adjusts the frame of his glasses on his nose.“Last night, I was finally able to get a clearer video feed on Alpha Sean's pack.” He says, turning the laptop

Raven's POV I'm supposed to meet up with Bryon this Friday. We picked a middle point, not too close to my pack and too close to his.We agreed to meet somewhere in the woods, a neutral ground where no one will suspect a thing or see us.Bryon is meant to try to sneak me into the foundation so I can access those boxes. I had to get concrete evidence before we could confront father and those he is working with. But first I need to figure out a way to leave the house without alerting anyone. I hope Asher kept his word and didn't kill them. I will have to ask him about it later.First I need to come up with something, an excuse to leave the house alone for at least an hour. Raven's POV Two years later “Bryon, don't do that, come here. You need to take your bath now.” I chuckled as Matilda chased Bryon round the house. At two, he was a force to reckon with, always full of mischief and trouble. He was really a handful, thanks to his godfathers and godmother who kept spoiling him and teaching him all the mischievous things he does, most especially Dale.Asher walked in with Dale behind him.“Da.” Bryon screamed, running towards him. Asher bent down and scooped him up.“Hey my little Alpha. How are you doing?” He asked and Bryon blew bubbles on his face and giggled.“Your boy is really a handful.” Matilda said to Asher, putting her hands on her waist.“Is that true? Have you been giving Matilda a tough time now, hmm?” He asked Bryon who just pouted back.Bryon turns to Derek. “Der.” He says, pointing at Matilda. He's reporting her to him. Derek just laughed, stroking his hair.“Play, play, play.” He chants, trying to wiggle down from Asher's arms.“Okay, o

Raven's POV “Bryon, you named him Bryon?” Maya asked, her eyes wide open in shock.“Yes, we did. It was actually Asher who brought it up.He said we should name him Bryon and I agreed.”“Wow! That's so thoughtful of him. I mean, Bryon was your little brother who Isla killed and he was the only member of your family that truly loved and cared about you.Asher did a good thing naming your son after him.” Maya said with a smile on her face.“Yeah, I wasn't expecting him to name our son after my brother but he did it for me and I'm so happy. For every time I look into my son's eyes, I'll always remember my little brother.” I said with a sad smile.Maya turned to my sleeping son in the cradle. “Hello little Bryon. You're so cute.” She says, rubbing his chubby cheeks.I smiled at them. “Dale's going to blow a fuse when he learns of the baby's name.” Maya said, happy with the decision made.I burst out laughing. “He will get over it, after all I'm already making him and Derek his godfathers

Asher's POV Another contraction came and Raven dug her fingers into my arm.“Okay, Raven, time to push again.” Arianna declared.Raven pushed. “You're doing a great job, Raven.” Maya said, from the side, encouraging her.Derek and Dale were just outside the room. It was just me, Maya, Matilda, Arianna and king here with Raven.Maya is bent on her other side, wiping away the sweat from entering her eyes and encouraging her.Raven kept pushing. Drained, she sagged against my chest. “I don't think I can do this anymore, I just can't.Nothing's happening, I'm tired.” She complained, breathing heavily.I kissed her temple. “Come on, baby. Don't give up now, you're doing it, darling and I'm so proud of you.” I said, smoothing her hair away from her face.“I know you're tired, but you're doing a great job. You know exactly what I'm talking about.Everyone saw you two leave the party early yesterday. What was it for, hmm?” She asked, sitting on the floor with her legs folded under her butt.“I was just tired last night and asked Asher to take me back to the house, that's all.” I said. It was the truth but not entirely the truth.Maya narrowed her eyes on me. I chuckled.“Fine. When we got back to the house, I got something to eat because I didn't realize I was starving at the party. Then, Asher told me he had a surprise for me later on.”“And what was the surprise?” She asked with a smirk playing on her lips.“He prepared a romantic night for us. That's why I'm the best.” I said with a smug look.“Yeah, yeah, you're the best, we know it. No need to sound so smug about it.” She said, rolling her eyes at me.I gestured to her orange juice by her side, she still hadn't finished it yet.“Finish your juice, at least for now.” I said.“But I'm stuffed already, I don't want to.” She whined.I cocked my brow at her and inclined my head, an expression that screamed you have to.With a huff, she picked up the glass and downed the entire juice like it was a shot of tequila.“There. Asher’s POVI stopped dead in my tracks taking in the sight of Raven. She stood there in the white sleeved dress, flowing down to her ankle. She stood there looking like a Greek goddess, with those little gold trimmings accentuating the design of the dress. Her white creamy skin tanned to match with her blond hair and gave her skin a healthy glow. She had her hair bunched up in some kind of elegant updo that looked tousled with a few strands falling down the sides. She was breathtakingly beautiful and even my wolf growled in appreciation. She stared at me with that heated look in her eyes that made me want to claim her right here.If not for the audience we have, I would have had her bent over and fucked her thoroughly.I crossed to her with a smile on my face, sliding my arm around her.“You are sensationally beautiful, your beauty shines in the dark and radiates all around us. Sorry, I'm a bit late.” I whispered into her ear.She looked up at me with a smile on her face. “Thank you.

We were both sitting in the garden, admiring the view. The house has been buzzing with activities, with different people coming and going in preparation for tomorrow. I've got to face a lot of people tomorrow.I sighed heavily. “I can’t wait for it to come and go. A part of me is dreading tomorrow. I've got to face a lot of people tomorrow.”“Of course you will. You are now the Luna, you will always have to face people, you need to start getting used to that, okay? And I know tomorrow will be fun and epic. With all the preparations I've seen in place, Asher really went all out to make tomorrow a special day for you.It shows how much he loves you.” Maya says, smiling at me.“I know that. Raven's POV Today is the day Maya's coming here. Derek and Dale had gone to pick her up from the airport.I'm so excited and glad that my best friend will be here soon. “I can practically feel your excitement, Raven.” Asher spoke to me through our mind link.“Of course I'm excited, I can't help it, sorry.” “It's okay, baby. I understand, no need to apologize.” He assured me in a soothing tone.“How's my baby boy doing today? I didn't get to talk to him this morning before I left.” He asked and I smiled.“He's doing fine, at least he has made his presence known to me today so many times with the force of his kicks. I wonder where he gets so much strength from. I mean he's just a little kid, and it hurts a lot.” I said, wincing again as he kicked me.“Sorry, baby. It proves that our boy will be very strong and capable just like his mother.”“Me? Nope. I'm not that strong. He takes after you in strength. You're the one who's strong.” “Fine then.
