Training grounds II

"So, Lina told you about what happened, huh?" Elena said as she increased her walking pace in a bid to keep up with Norris whose big strides kept her at a few meters away from him. "What else did she tell you?"

"She told me nothing much about you," Norris said, moving the big staff from his left hand to his right. "Only that which seems to be essential for today's work."

Elena gave a grunt in response to Norris' words. From the time that he had used it though, Elena knew that he was lying.

Elena noticed the way Linas strides changed the moment her eyes landed on Norris. Her pitch had gone higher and she seemed to have been overcome with some sense of excitement. Elena needed none to tell her that she had a thing for the sweat soaked guy... and that she had told him every little thing about her...

"Pick up a stick," Elena heard Norris say. She blinked twice and looked up at Norris who had now stopped working.
