Chapter 10 stm

Hugo had to take complete rest for at least two weeks before he was cleared to work. In that week if there was someone who had to really test their patience, it was Caterina.

She had to bear all the mood swings of her boss aka Hugo. Sometimes he was so calm and relaxed, friendly if you might say, and other times he was a wild lion, ready to chop anyone's head off. Even Luca grimaced looking at the scattered lounge because Hugo couldn't find the tv control that was apparently placed right in front of him.

Despite the fact that Luca didn't like to lose, he admired Caterina's calm personality, how she handled Hugo.

But among all the chaos, there was one thing Hugo felt. His heart change towards Caterina was so powerful and real that he got scared of himself.

He tried to call girls to divert himself but he couldn't make it happen, not that he was answerable to anyone, he felt he wasn't doing right. It's like you want a certain brand of whiskey and it is placed on the highest shelf where you cannot reach.

Caterina was getting on his nerves. People said, you could get diverted by the way how someone dresses to lure someone, but Caterina was an outstanding gem. She would outstand the whole world even if you put her in a potato sack.

The staff uniform was never a problem for Hugo, not until he saw Caterina in that floor length uniform.

It was a simple button down dress with a black waist coat and black shoes. Nothing much. Everyone was strictly instructed to keep their hair in a tight bun, but Hugo liked Caterina's hair in a braid like he sneaked once or twice.

She never applied a lip gloss or nail enamel although he had seen many girls wearing it, still she was naturally so beautiful that she didn't need any of the makeup.

He was currently sitting in his home office reviewing his work as he wanted to catch up before visiting the office again.

His forehead frowned to see the numbers not matching with the sheet.

He picked up his phone and dialled Luca who picked up after three bells.

“What boss?” Luca said in a busy tone.

“Have you checked the current month's revenue?” Hugo inquired. He could hear Luca sitting up straight.

“Not yet. Why? Churro hasn't told you yet?” Luca asked.

“No. I haven't talked to him yet. I was actually reviewing the sheets myself and I saw the numbers not matching”. Hugo told him.

“What do you mean?” Luca was on guard.

“Churro has been with us since ages, I don't even remember how long. He has never done this”. Luca was right but something wasn't adding up.

“Or maybe we never noticed the little changes”. Hugo opened another file and his tone was stern enough to tell Luca that things had changed.

—-----

“Sir, dinner is ready. Would you like me to serve here?” Hugo didn't know the whole day had passed when Caterina knocked and entered his office.

“Ohh. No. I will come to the table”. Hugo waved her and she understood his gesture to leave his office.

Caterina noticed he was in deep thoughts while having dinner. Unlike his routine he didn't say a word about the food or anything to compliment her and she couldn't understand why she felt a bit sad.

They had just finished dinner when she saw Luca entering the penthouse. And well now that was an alarming situation because they were wearing the same ruthless mask.

“Did you get him?” She saw how Hugo fisted his hands and his knuckles turned white. She had only seen him this angry when he had to collect some debt or to kill someone who had betrayed him and she wasn't sure what this was about.

She was scared nonetheless.

“Let's go Boss”. Luca didn't spare a glance at her and turned to go outside with Hugo following him closely.

—---

Luca stopped the car at a warehouse that was actually their workplace to execute special calls just like now. They moved around the hall, going to the basement without turning or bothering around to reply to his men greeting him.

Girls and boys were busy sampling and packing the drugs while some people were busy with checking in the weapons produced and packing them according to the order of shipment.

Hugo descended the stairs and walked the cold, strained hallway to the end cell room. He called it his personal play area.

Luca moved to unlock and opened the heavy iron door and smirked to see Churro, naked and covering in the corner. His eyes opened wide as soon as his gaze fell over Hugo, standing tall behind Luca.

“Boss. I… I am sorry boss. I got greedy and got carried away”. He tried to kneel before him but Luca kicked him in his stomach, throwing him a bit far.

“Ohh you surely got carried away Churro and I am wondering for how long?” Luca said in a cold tone while Hugo pulled a chair and sat down as if he had the whole time in the world.

“I am sorry Boss. Please. Please forgive me”. Churro knew he had no way out.

“Luca. Would you please get me the pliers?” Hugo stretched his hands without saying anything to hint but Luca smirked. His lips stretched in a cruel grin.

The show was going to enter his favorite part.

—----

Caterina startled from her place where she had fallen asleep and saw Hugo entering the penthouse followed by Luca.

She flinched to see Hugo’s shirt drenched in blood. His arms had splashes of blood too but it was his dark gaze that had her scared.

“No one can betray Hugo. No one”. Hugo raised his finger and Caterina didn't know why he had to threaten her. Apparently she had no wings to fly even if she wanted to.

She nodded and that was the only assurance Hugo needed who turned around to go to his bedroom while Luca stayed for a while.

“I hope you understood”. Luca said in the same tone before he turned to leave the penthouse, leaving Caterina frowning upon their words.

Why would they need to say it to her?

She didn't know if Hugo would want something to eat or not but she was sleepless now. She had only napped after Hugo had left for work and now she couldn't sleep again.

She went into the kitchen and pulled out the tub of ice cream from the freezer. She pulled out the bowl, turned around and screamed to see Hugo standing behind her.

She wasn't aware when Hugo came to the kitchen.

“You scared me”. She said putting a hand on her chest, feeling her heart thumping wildily.

“I didn't take you as the scared one”. Hugo leaned in and put his fingers on her pulsing point on her neck. She slightly flinched at the touch and looked at Hugo closely.

There was something off.

“What are you eating?” Hugo pulled back and looked at the bowl in her hand.

“Ohh. Ice cream. I couldn't sleep so I thought to myself ....”. She shrugged.

“Bring me a bowl too”. He turned to go to the living lounge leaving her stare at his broad back.

  • Sold to Mafia   Chapter 1

Chapter 1 Hugo picked up his phone without slowing down his thrusts and almost growled in the phone. “It should be important Luca.” He gritted his teeth to hear Luca chuckling on the other end. “Wait, did I disturb you?” Luca could never leave a chance to get on his nerves. “The fuck Luca.” Hugo wrapped the hair of the girl currently being pounded into and screaming like a bitch in heat, though he hated her over dramatic porno moans, but he had not laid in three days, so yes. “Okay, I just had to say that the debt had been collected from the people in the list from the central region. Now tell me when do wwe need to score the southern areas? Also, the shipment for the Bratva is loaded and sent. Their Pakhan had personally collected that. The payment is received in the account, now… Hugo, fuck sake, shut her up.” This time Hugo laughed at his friend who must be gritting his teeth in annoyance. To be honest, even his ears were

Chapter 2 “Papa, what were they talking about?” Caterina asked her father as soon as they all left. She was really upset when her father closed the café and took her to their apartment just above their café. “He... uh… he gave me some prepositions.” Her father entered her bedroom and pulled up a bag from under her bed. “You are going to your aunt for a while and don’t tell anyone about it. I will get to you soon and we will get back to work. I will hire Sally to manage the kitchen in your absence.” Caterina stopped her father from rambling. She was unable to grasp anything her father was saying. “Wait. Where and why am I going? And what prepositions? Why would you hire Sally?” She held his hands to stop him but he kept on pulling clothes from her closet until she stopped him forcefully. “Papa… look at me. What is going on?” she asked in an apparently calm tone. Her mind was signaling her to run away but she couldn’t leave her father. “

Chapter 3Caterina woke up with a groan. Her head was aching and her throat was dry as she had screamed a lot before she was smacked on her temple that had her unconscious. She panicked as everything rushed back in her memories. She was going to leave for her aunty when Hugo and his men barged in and they shot her father and took her away. “Papaaaaa.” She screamed as she tried to get up but realised that her hands and feet were tied up and she could only crawl in this cold and dingy place. She could see it was dark outside considering the window showed no light from outside but it could possibly be a basement too as she could smell the wetness seeping in the walls. She somehow managed to crawl to a door as her eyes got used to the dark in the room. “Somebody there? Anybody? Please help me. Please… is anyone here. Open the door please. i … I want to leave. Please let me go please.” She kept banging with her forehead but there was no one listening to her wails and shouts. She didn

Chapter 4 stm Hugo was reviewing the files when he heard a knock on the door. “Come in”. He said without lifting his eyes from the document he was reading. “Sir, Caterina is here”. He heard his maid speaking before he waved her off and she left, leaving Catering alone and trembling. “The left wing is mine. My bedrooms, gym and office. You have to clean them, do my laundry and cook meals for me. The chef will provide you with the menu. I need my place pristine in the morning and make sure you don't linger around. I have two guest rooms too by the left of my bedroom and usually I have guests with me. You can have your break at meals not more than an hour and then I expect you to wait for me in the living area. Understood?” He spoke in a cold tone. “But I…”. “And I expect you have received your uniforms and I want you in the uniform from dawn to dusk”. He continued. He could see her fidgeting at her spot from the corner of his eyes. “You may leave and start your work”. He dismi

  • Sold to Mafia   Chapter 5

Chapter 5 stm Caterina was nervous. The backyard was filled with hundreds of people. She eyed them nervously as the butler handed her another tray of appetizers to take to the table and serve to the guests. She had never dealt with so many people although she was running a cafe with her father for years. The slacks and shirt was already making her uncomfortable and those heels. And not to mention the tray was filled to the brim. She managed to hold it and serve the guests one by one, ignoring the wandering hands and people mocking at her. She bit the insides of her cheek to hold her tears back. She wanted to shout and stab every hand that moved on her body without her consent. She wanted to make sure not to offend any guest because she was surely scared of Hugo and Luca. It was her fourth trip from the bar to the table when suddenly someone pushed her purposely. She tried to balance herself but failed. The tray fell off her hands and splashed on a few people surrounding her. It

Chapter 6 stm“She needs bed rest for at least a week. She is low on nutritions and strength. I am prescribing these medicines and she needs to take them”. The doctor held out a prescription for Caterina as Luca gestured to Gerald to get it. “Hmmm”. Hugo only grunted. This whole situation was displeasing him. He hated to admit but since Caterina had started working for him, his left wing would be sparkling and squeaky clean. Her food tasted better too but now with her put on rest, he was getting irritated at the thought of having Martha again in his wing. No offense, she was good with what she did but again, Caterina had spoiled Hugo without knowing a bit. “Ask Martha to get on work but make sure to stay out of my hair”. He pointed at Luca and turned to go to his office. He wasn't focused on his work although he had to gauge potential clients for his new business venture. But his mind was occupied with Caterina. Chapter 7 stm Hugo was busy these days. Caterina had not seen him for over a week or maybe she missed his presence. He had turned into a ghost. Chapter 8 stm. Hugo woke up with a groan. His vision was blurry and he could feel his eyes swollen. His head was throbbing too. He licked his dry lips and tried to swallow but his throat was dead parched. He tried to move around but his arm was held to stop him from moving around. “Don't move sir. You are injured and you have temperature”. He heard a low familiar voice. He turned slowly this time and saw Caterina sitting on the chair by his side. She had a thermometer strip in her hand as she removed the towel off his forehead. He instantly missed the coolness on his forehead that was way comforting. He saw as she dipped the towel again in water and squeezed extra water out and placed the towel back on his forehead. “The doctor had arrived and had examined you. • Sold to Mafia   Chapter 9

Chapter 9 Hugo sighed in relief when he was settled on the couch in the lounge. He turned on the TV but kept it mute. The change of scenery was already refreshing and he only wanted to add to the ambiance but wasn't interest in listening in watching whatever going on the tv. He nodded at his staff who were dutifully doing their chores. He was relaxed but his mind was stuck at a specific girl whom he havent saw since he came in the lounge. He tried to subtly sneak around with his eyes but not even a single sight. ‘where did she go’? He thought to himself, trying to get himself busy with his mobile to check the underworld chatting. Everyone had heard about the ambush on Hugo and it was clearly pissing him off. He had to face all this insult just because of a pussy. He picked up his phone to call Luca and ask about any update but just then he saw Caterina coming out of the room. He didn't check if Luca had picked the call or not and hung up the call, staring at her. She had taken
