Eden walked into the lounge and poured himself a glass of whiskey. It felt strange to see her so close like that. From her picture, she was beautiful but she was even more beautiful in person and even better when up-close. He never thought he would marry a brunette.
His entire life, he was always into blonde women with blue or light eyes and tall, skinny figure. Karina was not exactly his ideal type, physically, she was short, around 5’4”, not curvy but not skinny either, with dark green eyes and reddish brown hair.
Someone he wouldn’t normally find attractive but for some reason, he couldn’t help but find her incredibly attractive and adorable. She was not sexy or super model hot, but she was delicate and innocent, like flower petals. He liked it.
As he was drinking, he heard a knock from the door, it was one of his man.
“Ah, good timing. Tell me, have you done what I asked you to do?”
“Yes, boss. The task is completed. We have everything recorded here. The man is taken care of.” He told him.
“Give it to me, I want to see it myself.” He told him. The man gave him the tablet device and Eden opened up the video his men had recorded earlier.
Ah, as he predicted.
As soon as Aaron left the place, he did not put it straight to the bank because he was scared they would take it as the credit payment. Instead, he stashed it in his car.
Later on, he stopped in front of a club and took some of the cash for partying. Eden’s men even manage to record everything from inside the club for his viewing pleasure.
“Ah, wonderful. As I expected, it doesn’t matter how much money you give to a fool, they would always waste it on stupid things instead of using it to fix their life.” He chuckled. Since the day he saw Aaron, he already knew that man was a good for nothing, but he never thought he would be so foolish.
“Let’s move to the good part.” Eden smirked.
Aaron was so drunk and he walked out from the club’s side door to throw up because he was so wasted. At this point, he had not realized he was being watched. Not long after, someone was holding a gun into his head.
The man was one of Eden’s man. Aaron seemed shocked by this action and Eden’s man, who was wearing a mask, quickly asked Aaron to give him the money in his car.
Aaron who could not think clearly under the threat, lifted up his arms and slowly walked to his car to do what the man said.
He cared for his life more than he cared for the money. He opened his car’s garage and pulled the suitcase out. Eden’s man quickly grabbed it while still pointing the gun at Aaron. Then another car came and the man entered it.
They quickly stormed off and Aaron was bewildered by what just happened. He seemed frustrated and upset at the same time. He screamed so loud in front of the club that a few security guard began to approach him. Some people thought he was crazy and no one really believed his words since he was drunk.
For Eden, it was truly an amusing sight to behold.
“He got what he deserved.” He stated happily.
“What about the CCTV around the area?” He asked the man.
“Don’t worry, boss, we have taken care of it. No one would suspect a thing.” He reassured. Eden smiled in victory. Not only did he get the woman of his dreams, he also managed to gain back the money he had given the fool.
Since the beginning, it was his plan. Eden was not a good man. He knew that and he didn’t care. He would do anything to get everything he ever wanted.
“Now that is taken care of, I think I should check on my princess.” He put down the tablet and picked up another tablet. This time, it was directly connected to the entire house. It made surveillance much more comfortable.
He checked on her room and realized she was already asleep. It turned out, she was a lot more manageable than he previously assumed. Even though she did surprise him a little when she punched Aaron.
“What are you, princess? Are you a rose or are you the thorn?” He whispered to himself. After he was done drinking, he went back to his room and fell asleep.
Like usual, his body woke up at around five in the morning. He did his morning breathing exercise then went to his private gym for his morning workout session. Afterward, he took a shower and headed downstairs for breakfast.
In the house, he had a chef who always came in super early in the morning to cook his meal so at around eight, he could start having his breakfast.
Usually, Eden would go straight to the dining room, but this time, it was different. His mind was immediately directed to her. He knocked on the door but there was no response. Eventually, he just unlocked it and entered her room only to find that she wasn’t there.
He almost panicked but then took a moment to breath and started looking around the room. The window was still shut tightly and there was no sign of break in or out, meaning she was still in the room.
He checked her closet to see if she was there but she also wasn’t. Last but not least was the bathroom. Mind you, the bathroom’s door was not transparent or blurred glass model, I was completely covered from up to bottom so there was no way anyone could see any activities inside from the outside.
There wasn’t a lot of water noise either so he twist the knob and entered the bathroom, only to find out that she was there, completely naked, patting the towel on her hair. His eyes wandered through her body but it did not last long since she noticed someone had entered in and turned her body around.
As soon as she saw him, she screamed to the top of her lung. She threw a soap bottle his way and yelled at him to get out. Eden was so shocked he shut the door wondered what did he just see? His face reddened as he realized he just saw her naked before their wedding day.
Eden was not exactly an innocent man. He had seen a woman’s naked body before but they were not hers. It felt different. He almost felt like a teenager getting caught stealing. He thought it would be best to leave her room. He had embarrassed both her and himself enough.
“Come for breakfast, I will be waiting for you.” He told her from behind the door before leaving. Back to Karina, she felt so embarrassed because he had seen her naked even though it was only by accident.
She did not care if he was attractive, she never even had sex with Aaron before, because she was always shy and conscious around other people when naked including women. At that moment, she felt like crying.
After gathering herself together, she walked out from the bathroom and got dressed. She did not feel like wearing anything too exposed after what just happened so she chose a white long sleeve midi dress with puffy sleeve and a pair of nude heels because everything in the closet were pretty much dresses and clothing that was different from her usual casual style.
However, after putting them on, she did not feel too bad, in fact, she felt so much better because it looked really good on her and she loved it.
Once she was done getting dressed, she walked out to the dining table where he was at. He looked at her and saw how beautiful she was after a good rest, shower and everything else, almost a bit unrecognizable from the woman she was the previous day.
“You look beautiful.” He complimented. She did not say anything in return though. Instead, she sat down and took a look at the meal in front of her. They looked typical, but she spotted something that annoyed her off a little bit.
“I am allergic to dairy. I thought you would know that too.” She remarked. He realized she was still angry form what happened earlier, but decided to not pursue the conversation until she brought it up herself.
“I see, then I will have the chef remove it. There are some dairy free options on the table as well. You can have that for now.” He reasoned.
“You don’t understand it, do you? Of course you don’t. You didn’t even bother to knock on my door before entering!” Yes, there it was. He knew she would eventually brought the conversation into surface.
“I know you are upset about what happened earlier but I promise you it would never happen again. I was just worried if you ran away. I couldn’t afford that.” His answer did not ease her anger at all. She got up from the table and walked away.
“Where are you going!?” He asked.
“Back to my room!” With that, she disappeared and he could hear the sound of door slamming. He was a bit upset because of her attitude but at the same time, she called the room he provided as her room, which meant she was slowly adjusting herself there, which was perfect.
“Looks like she isn’t much of a little dove I thought she was. This time I’m at fault too. Maybe I just need to give it some time.” He thought before another voice in his head replied.
“But what if she never accepts you?” It asked.
“Then I’ll have to force her.”

Eden walked into the room and gave them all a polite nod of acknowledgement before he entered his private office. Eden Black was the current head of the company. He inherited it from his father who started everything from scratch. It started as a small local tech business but over the years, it had grown and transformed significantly and at the time, it had over a hundred working employees, excluding the freelancers and interns in two different branches.Their products were exported to fifteen countries at the moment. The company was the primary source of his lavish lifestyle, but he also had other investments and source of income. At that point in his life, he no longer worked for money, but his money worked for him.Wha

She was already depressed enough being kidnapped and taken away from the life she knew, she couldn’t bear anymore surprise.“What’s the rush, we have at least thirty minutes before the dinner is over. Why don’t you enjoy your meal first and we will discuss the matter after dessert.” He suggested.“No, let’s talk now. Are you going to release me?” Eden almost couldn’t believe she was still at that. He guessed everything he had done for her so far did not mean much to her. Even though she was no longer as bitter and angry as she did the previous day, she was still as cold to him as the first time they met.“I told you,

Your speech at the tech gala last night was also quite profound. I am sure this project would be a massive success in the future.” The old man who played golf with him just thirty minutes ago and also happened to be one of his company’s shareholder congratulated the younger man.“Please, don’t mention it. I’m doing it for the betterment of humanity, it’s what I live for.” He replied back. Soon after, he arrived at the front of his car.“I have to leave now, but I appreciate your kind words.” He excused himself and got in the car. He headed back to his modern penthouse and as soon as he stepped in, he went to check his mailbox to see if there were any packages for him.Among all the stuff in his mai

Marriage is a life's work."-Loretta Chase-***Karina has been looking at herself in the mirror for nearly two hours as the makeup artist and hairstylist worked their magic on her and she knew as soon as they were done with their job, it was time for her to put on her dress, which required two people’s help since it was so large and had many intricate designs and embroidery on them.Once she was done, she stared at herself in a full-length mirror and was speechless by how different she looked from her normal, casual self. She did not even know that side of her existed and was possible to channel out.“You look so beautiful, Miss. I think your husband is the luckiest man in the world.” One of the stylist complimented. She could only give her a small smile. Clearly, nobody in the room knew the r

She took a step back from him after her dress was removed, but he quickly grabbed her hand and threw her to the bed.As if unable to control his desires, he began planting kisses all over her neck and lips. She struggled under him. The entire time, she kept on pushing him and kicking his stomach so he would stay far away from her, but Eden was strong, a bit too strong for a normal man.“Don’t struggle, I want to make love to you tonight. I will make you feel good.” He vowed as he began to lick across her s

He hated complete silence and the music was not helping either. Eden thought it was a great opportunity to get her talking so he could understand her better.“Why do you want to know? I thought you said you knew everything about me. Also, I didn’t come to you, you kidnapped me.” She protested.“Yes, I do, from an external perspective, but I couldn’t get down to the very detail, you know. I could easily hack into your browser history to find out but I would rather discover it directly from you.” He reasoned.“Just who are you exactly, Eden? Are you in the mafia

Eden took it with both hands and thanked the man. He did not want to drink alcohol and get drunk for the night since he had to drive back home, so kombucha was the closest thing he could think of to relieve his stress. The Asian man stared at his friend with a worried face. Eden Black was no different. Three years has passed since the last time Eden saw Karina in person. Thanks to technology, he was able to see her everyday through the monitor but it was not enough. How he had long to see her in person. That morning before the sun even rose, he had sent over a car to pick her up, because he wanted her arrival to be special. If he picked her up himself, he would just ruin the surprise.Karina on the other side was feeling the same. She had not seen Eden in years and her heart was beating rapidly. How strange it was to finally see her husband again after all these time. She had her three years old son Zion sitting beside her on the car.Throughout the three years, he often saw Eden and stayed in h

Only a hug that would not suffice for three years. Truly, it was a horrible experience. He actually cried as he watched her drove away.It would be painful, to be unable to touch her for that long, but he knew everything would be fine. His love for her was strong and he was sure with time, she could learn to love him again.Besides, Karina was going to a house he had prepared for her, meaning, he could see her through the hidden cameras he had placed all over the house. He would still be able to see her, just not in person. It would at least be enough to cover his longing for her and reminded himself that even though she was away, Karina was still his.On her way there, Karina felt a million emotions. As a businessman. He had been through several of those sit downs and none of them had ever intimidated him. However, for a particular reason, the one held that evening made him feel so nervous.Karina, Eden, Declan and two lawyers from each side were going to finally have their closure on the matter. After going back and forth on the terms, they decided to settle for a few things, which was decided definitively by Karina and Karina alone. It was all the terms and conditions she had talked with Declan and prepared in advance if she was going to fix her relationship with Eden. It was the only solution for the two of them to maintain their marriage without having to have a divorce. They settled it the familial wa

His body was savoring each second of rest it needed. He barely did anything in the past three days. The other family members had come to visit him, but the person he wanted to see the most was not there and it prevented him from recovering.“What’s the point of living anymore if I couldn’t have her?” He questioned. There was a point in his life where he thought everything was perfect and it was when Karina was by his side. The time he spent together with her was always the happiest time in his life. After experiencing such joy, how could he settle for anything else?“Eden, wake up.” He heard a voice calling his name. The voice was Declan’s. However, even rain could break down concrete given time and so was he.That day started out just like any normal day. Eden woke up that morning after sleeping like the dead thanks to his sleeping pills and went to make his morning coffee. Afterward, he headed to the shower and got dressed. Each time he stood in the mirror he still remembered the day when she was also standing there with him. Declan followed the sound of her voice and saw her there about to make some instant noodle.“I forgot to get some grocery earlier so now there’s nothing to eat and I haven’t had dinner, so I thought I’d make something quick.” She told him but Declan threw the package to the trash and placed the meal he brought on the table instead.“I won’t let you eat that junk, Karina. The only thing he could do beside work was drinking. Actually, he could barely work at all because of how messed up his mind was.His secretary Andreas had to take an even bigger load of work because Eden was not on his right mind, but he was the CEO so they could not just fire him easily. All of his friends and employee noticed something was different with him, but nobody knew what was actually going on except for Jacob who had been accompanying him this entire time because he was afraid that his friend would do anything stupid or crazy again because of his feelings. That evening, Jacob arrived at Eden’s mansion like he did these past three days since Karina went missing just to check on his best friend. The guard already knew who he was since h

Eden texted her so early in the morning saying that he would pick her up at the hospital so they could go home together. However, there was no answer from her. Eden felt like something was wrong. He knew she was upset but apparently her phone was not active either. So that afternoon, right after lunch, Eden drove to the hospital to drive Karina. He headed over to her room but much to his surprise, Karina was not there. She was gone. So was her bag which contained her passport and everything.
