.Chapter 7: a toy to be broken again.“SHE IS NOT YOURS. SHE IS A PERSON, DIAZ!!. YOU DON’T OWN HER LIKE YOU DO AN OBJECT. SHE IS NOT A FUCKING OBJECT FOR YOUR SICK FANTASIES. YOU DO NOT OWN HER!!.”“YES I DO.” Diaz yelled back at his brother’s wife angrily. “I OWN EVERY INCH OF HER. I PAID FOR HER.”Both of them are screaming angrily at each other. The shouts echo through the room even reaching Althea’s hiding place which forces her to place her hands over her ears. Her time here has taught her one basic rule: don’t ever anger Diaz. As long as she followed that rule her torture was almost bearable, the problem was when others played with the patience of the older, something she obviously could not control but would always suffer because of.Thus she tried her best, following every order to keep him happy and hiding as best she could when she wasn't.The pair keeps shouting at each other until they attract public.Clyde show up in front of the door first, running into the room in a rushed panic just to be hit in the face by the furious words of his brother.“I OWN HER. I OWN HER BODY. I OWN HER MIND. I OWN HER AS MUCH AS MY BROTHER OWNS YOU TOO, WHORE.”Instantly after the last syllable leaves his mouth, Diaz regrets it.Guilt punching his gut as he sees the reaction of his brother’s wife; pained, saddened, but overall, disappointed.Lucius chooses that time to show up, creeping towards the group silently, not wanting to get their attention.“Jana, I didn’t—““Mean it?” Jana asks him, tears encapsulating the pain glistening in her eyes. “I think you did, Diaz.”“No, I don’t think that way.”“Just leave, Diaz Cartel.” She calls him by his full name, something too rare. The hurt still lingers in her eyes, yet, Jana’s expression softens as she speaks, a request more than an order.Diaz listens, turning on his heels to leave, ashamed of his words when he meets his older brother’s eyes. Lucius and Clyde stand still like statues, unsure of how to react or aid them.“Lucius, why don’t you help me with the kid? I think she is hiding in the wardrobe. She called your name earlier, I think, so she must be used to you.”Lucius nods, happily approaching the older.“Clyde, take your brother outside. I doubt he will be of any help.”Diaz feels a stab to the stomach by the orders of his, otherwise, sweet and loving sister in law who would normally hug him after such a long time of not meeting each other. He does as he is told though, leaving the room and following Clyde to his office to finish whatever work he can gather to distract himself. As soon as the two brothers leave the room, Jana signals Lucius over to the wardrobe.“She ran straight there after she heard Diaz screaming.”“She does that when he gets angry because, well….he takes the anger on her,” explains the younger. “Her name is Althea by the way."“What has been happening, Lucius? I need to know before going in there.” The words are said in such a way that makes Lucius think it sounds more like a plea.To him, it sounds like Jana is begging him to comfort her that whatever she is thinking is worse than the reality.“You can probably imagine already, Jani. Diaz has been very stressed lately because of Mercedes and his gang. Every time he comes back home he walks to his room and doesn’t leave unless he has to,” explains the raven. “Only I’m allowed in here to clean his mess.”He hesitates to say the next part.Jana looks heartbroken enough but he knows the older hates being left in the dark.“Blood and cum are always staining the bed and her legs. Sometimes she can’t move, some other I have to—”He is interrupted by a soft hand on his shoulder.“That’s plenty. Let’s just help her.”Once inside the huge wardrobe Jana looks at Lucius inquisitively and the other points towards the winter coats. She nods, walking to where she is being pointed at.In the silence they can hear the evident sound of panicked breathing. The situation reminds Jana of one time when she was gifted a baby chick. The small animal was a few days old, terrified of anyone who would try to touch him. It would just hide behind the refrigerator and cry unceasingly when someone tried to help him out.Jana would sit in the kitchen for hours, waiting for the chick to stick its neck out in an attempt to flea but always running back to the depths of its hideout. The poor thing died a couple days later, unable to eat or drink any water in his horrid quest to hide from the world he was brought into.“Althea?” Asks Lucius sweetly. Both of them move cautiously, crouching in front of the coats.“Thea??” Lucius calls again. He moves some of the coats out of the way, allowing the light to illuminate behind.A small figure hiding on the corner appears with her legs close to her chest she pulls herself into a ball, trying to shrink as much as possible.“Althea, it’s me. Why don’t you come out here so I can help you.”Lucius reaches a hand to her but she only moves further back. She is practically plastered against the wall already, cornered with no exit. When she sees Lucius, she is tempted to take his hand, after all, if he was here it meant Diaz was gone for a while.Although she doesn’t trust the other woman. She didn’t look at her properly but once she realised she wasn’t Lucius and she was making Diaz angry, Althea had decided not to trust her.She was a threat.Lucius pushes himself forwards a bit, putting a hand on Althea’s arm, causing the blonde to start sobbing again. There had been times when he had to force Althea out of her hiding to make sure she would clean herself and be ready before Diaz was back.He regretted all of those times because in the beginning Althea fought slightly but now, after 43 days of the same routine, she would only sob helplessly as she was being pulled out.****Jana observes the scene developing in front of her feeling slightly nauseous.Questions she really doesn’t want an answer for pound the tears out of her eyes. How many times has she hid in here in hopes Diaz wouldn’t find her? How many times has she been found and forcefully pulled out?****Althea knows why the man with the boxy smile is there. She knows he is here to make her shower, dress and eat; the routine too familiar. She knows, yet, but she wants to ignore the sweet alluring words promising comfort a bit longer. That is until she feels a big hand close around one of her now too skinny arms, pulling at it slightly. The sobs that escape her are inevitable as she refuses to go.Just a bit longer, please. Just let me stay here.Ignoring her loud sobs, Lucius muscles her out of her hideout and into the light. She kneels in front of the strange woman, now hyperaware of her nudity. She was used to being naked in front of Diaz and Lucius but this woman she has never seen.Althea lifts her face, cheeks tinted red with embarrassment as she meets the stranger’s deep brown eyes. Her hair has a chocolate brown colour, a whole shade different from Diaz’s, she has soft looking lips and full eyebrows. She is very beautiful indeed. The eyes she looks at Althea with are not arrogant as she would expect rather kind and sweet, framed by casual tears rolling down her cheeks.“Hello, Althea. I’m Janina but you can call me Jana or Jani,” says the older. “I know Diaz has been a monster to you but I’m here to help you. I see you have blood on your thighs, I think you should see a doctor.”Althea only lowers her gaze to the floor, no reaction. It is frustrating, Jana finds.Talking to someone who constantly hides away silently. Reminding herself to be kind again, Jana gives it another shot.“Diaz is gone. You can relax a little now. I want to take you to the mansion’s doctor so they can check that cut on your lip, yes?”No answer.Jana tries to get consent from Althea before touching her or taking her to see the doctor, the problem is that consent was never something she was asked for before. In Althea’s life everything was taken by the people who wanted it with no regard for what she said, which makes it hard not to be confused. To her, being asked for consent is so surprising she doesn’t know what else to do but look at her hands.“Lucius,” She whispers a second time.Althea is not sure why those particular words leave her at that particular moment but they do. A faint sound that means comfort, even if it is short. To Lucius it sounds like Althea is asking for guidance.Shoved into a world she didn’t know how to survive in, Lucius had helped her as much as he could, casually chatting her into submission when with Diaz. And, now, guiding her to trust Jana.“Thea, she is just trying to help. I promise you will get some rest once the doctor sees you.”The words break some of the knots inside her throat, allowing her to relax somewhat. Still, she is indecisive of what Lucius is waiting for her to do so Althea gives her an almost imperceptible nod and allows the woman to touch her.Lucius smiles at Jana and gives her a thumbs up.Lost on the next step, Jana decides covering Althea should come first so she signals Lucius to wrap Althea in some clothes as she helps her stand. The blonde is so skinny it presents almost no challenge for her. A long coat is thrown over her narrow shoulders, reaching all the way under her knees which makes her look tiny.Jana would think the outfit was the cutest thing were it not for the truth of the situation.Lucius leaves to find the doctor, meanwhile, Jana leads Althea to her room in a very slow walk. It seems like the younger has great trouble keeping herself up on her own, even with Jana’s arm around her waist as support, she wobbles.******It takes around two hours for the doctor to leave. It had been a real challenge for everyone involved since Althea would panic at every little movement. The moment the doctor entered the room Althea tensed considerably, eyes never leaving Jana nor the doctor as they talked about the situation. It wasn’t until the doctor decided it was a good idea to tell Althea to strip that hell broke loose. The already scared blonde had slapped the hand grabbing her coat as she ran to hide behind a curtain.Jana tried to sweet talk her into letting the coat fall but it wasn’t until Lucius came into the room that Althea started listening.Led by encouraging words and a warm hand squeezing hers, Althea finally let her coat slide to the floor, leaving her completely naked to allow the medic asses her injuries. The time passed by extremely slow for Althea. She felt the guilt as Lucius sweet talked her into letting him help, offering his hand. She felt the embarrassment as the only layer protecting her lost dignity was stripped of her.She felt the incessant tears falling down her face and the sobs escaping her mouth as she was ordered to lie on the bed with her leg on the air.She felt the pain of the stitches sewing the torn skin of a wound that had been repeatedly open, never allowed to heal. She feels the sorrow when the doctor disinfects her broken lip, when Jana applies a white paste on her chaffed wrists and when Lucius wipes the blood on her face with a warm cloth. She feels the sorrow when no one asks questions. When no one promises safety.Because they are just there to mend a toy they know will be broken again..TBCSold to Diaz Cartel.Chapter 8: No one in the mafia is kind.“She needs to rest. The torn skin on her bottom could get irreparable damage if it keeps getting abused,” explains the doctor. “I stitched the outside fissure but she most likely has internal fissures as well."The doctor is standing outside of the room talking to Jana in a low voice. Lucius is left inside with a sleeping Althea, seeing as the blonde refused to let go of his hand.“This is Diaz we are talking about, Doc. It won’t be easy.”“I know,” he says. “I have never seen someone so beautiful be shattered like this.”“I have,” answers Jana without thinking. “Anyways, thanks. I will take care of her.”The other man just nods a good bye.***** The moment she arrives at the office, her eyes fall over her husband, trained to find him in a crowd. The man gives her an adorable smile that show his dimples which give her enough courage to do what she has to do next. Jana walks into the office, squared shoulders and head h
Sold to Diaz Cartel.Chapter 9: blessed-cursed nightmares .A couple days pass with Althea only drinking the tiniest sips Jana and Lucius haver ever seen. The blonde just outright refuses to eat anything, always hiding in her false excuses of not liking that particular food. Jana gets more and more worried, not wanting to press Althea too much while also not backing down too easily. But her patience is low after days of excuses and hiding in Lucius’s chest. It presents the best opportunity when the raven gets orders to leave for Bangkok to deal with some small gangs under the control of the Cartel family. A perfect opportunity to get closer to Althea without her having an excuse to run.“I need to touch you, Althea. Is that ok?”The blonde just looks at her, lost. Head slightly tilted as if she was talking in a different language. Jana gives a small sigh. “I need to put some ointment on your lip, wrists and...” She doesn’t finish just lowers her gaze.Althea understands though, o
Sold to Diaz Cartel.Chapter 10: cigarettes and regrets .Althea keeps her head on her knees replaying the nightmare over and over again. Both their bodies lie close together over the bed with Althea behind Diaz, the position awkwardly highlighting their size difference. His arm encircles the older, cuddling her.Althea is still confused by her monster’s actions considering today he decided he just wanted to sleep. The whole day he had been somewhat….off, letting Althea dress after the shower for the first time in days, even going as far as to ask her to let him dye her hair for her. It all was very strange to Althea. The fact that Diaz would ask for something instead of just taking it seemed rather artificial, almost hallucinatory. Such was her turmoil, the blonde was shoved into primal mode expecting everything to fall apart on glass pieces of a lying dream.Diaz had softly grabbed her by the hand to lead her to a chair inside the bathroom where she sat still as her hair was dri
Sold to Diaz Cartel.Chapter 11: A run in with another devil .“Jani hates when I smoke. She says the smell lingers for too long and causes her nausea. I quit two years ago but, well….I barely see my wife right now so it shouldn’t hurt.”Althea hears the hidden blame behind the words, after all, she is the reason why he is sleeping in the guest room, though she doesn’t care. She doesn’t particularly hate the man nor likes him. In Althea’s eyes, Clyde is just Janina’s suspicious husband. The pair sit in silence until both their bodies are frozen. The older finishes his second cigarette, starting to stand up when a small hand stops him.“Can I have one?” Althea asks in a whisper. All this time she had wanted to ask the man for a cigarette, seeing the other relax considerably after his first one. Althea thinks maybe cigarettes will help her. She has tried smoking before, a couple times when she was in the Academy. Some of her friends would contraband a packet from time to time and t
Sold to Diaz Cartel.Chapter 12: Maybe if she begs loud enough .... .Althea gets so lost in the sweet strawberry aftertaste she doesn’t hear the multiple footsteps walking down the adjacent hallway nor the two voices talking. In her haste to get back to the room she promised not to leave, the blonde turns the corner too fast, crashing straight into a strong body and spilling the soft pink liquid all over his expensive jacket.“Oh, I’m so—“ She starts apologising just to stop the moment she lifts her gaze. Diaz is looking at her with blank eyes, a stoic expression on his face. Next to him a smaller man stands radiating power, his frame almost as small as Althea’s, covered in a black suit. His gaze is directed at Althea, curiosity on the surface but something scrutinising behind it.Janina stands behind Diaz, Clyde next to him, while Ronan stands on the other side of his boss. The hitman with white hair has his gun already pointed at Althea’s head. The group is surrounded by guard
Sold to Diaz Cartel.Chapter 13: 13 Scars .“I have to punish you, Althea. Give me your hands or I will blindfold you and gag you,” Diaz orders coldly. “Give. Me. Your. Hands.” The small figure doesn’t move, fear overflowing her face. “Don’t make this harder than it has to be, Althea. I don’t like punishing you but you have to learn. You are only making it worse.” A sigh leaves his lips when Althea shows no sign of having heard him over the ‘I’m sorry’ s and ‘please’ s she can’t seem to stop spurting. “NOW.”Althea trembles, fighting her own body to lift her arms towards the brunette. She almost takes them back when she feels Diaz grab her wrists, almost. The older ties both her hands to each side of the bed, forcing her to kneel again while also making it impossible to move away from the belt as it makes contact with her back, slashing through the skin and pulling a heart breaking scream out of her barely healed lips. She feels the blood trickling down her body as the insurmou
Sold to Diaz Cartel.Chapter 14: She has suffered through it all..Janina wakes up, her heart beating incessantly and her erratic breathing puffing out of her lungs strongly, heavy with all the sorrow of a hunting nightmare.—The moment she nears the door she hears the unmistakable sound of pained screams, heart wrenching, soul breaking screams. A shiver travels through her spine as she knocks on the door.Nothing.Another scream breaks through the air and she can’t avoid reacting this time. Her muscles move almost autonomously as she opens the door and is met by a sad scene that strangles her heart with a silent cry.Althea is lying on her stomach over the kitchen table, her back open like a fruit without peel leaving the red muscle in contact with the air. Her skin is impossibly white and creates a gruesome contrast against the bright red of blood dripping down the side of her torso. Jana walks slowly towards her, all the air trapped inside her lungs as she waits for the figure
Sold to Diaz Cartel.Chapter 15: They all lived only for Diaz Cartel..“I miss him,” Diaz announces sighing. He puts the papers he has been reading down, stretching his sore muscles.“You have no right to talk. We are in this situation because of you.” Clyde responds, annoyance sipping in his voice. "And to think that even I was dragged into this.”“Don’t be dramatic.”“I haven’t been able to sleep with my wife in 12 days! Lucius probably gets to snuggle her as I lay sleepless on my bed.” The older complains to his brother with the same mannerism as a child making a tantrum. “I started smoking again, you know? It’s the only thing that helps me cope,” he confesses with a dramatic sigh. “I even got scolded by Jani.”“Maybe this is good. You are too dependant of her.”“It is love!”“Whatever. I’ll buy you nicotine patches,” Diaz brushes it off with a hand gesture.“You are still smoking?” Lucius shows up in the door, his hair a mess and blood splattered all over his face. “Jani will
Sold to Diaz Cartel.Chapter 59: neither life or death .At first, Althea had thought of it as impossible. Soon enough she learnt that everyone knew the Cartel Family had defeated all the other mafias in past, rising to the elite position they enjoy now thanks to the strong loyalty everyone has for their leader. Yet, a chain is only as strong as its weakest link. And Althea was the weakest of them all.Surprisingly, collecting information about the weaknesses of the mansion and its security was the easiest part. In the beginning, Althea was overwhelmed by the complexity of the task just to find out that men talk an awful lot when they think the slut sucking them is only there for the drugs. The hardest, and also the most critical detail of the plan was to break the blind trust Diaz had in his inner circle, something he takes so much pride on.Slowly, innocently, Althea carved doubt against Clyde inside Lucius’s mind, poisoning Diaz’s loyal dog for months. Feeding into his obsessiv
Sold to Diaz Cartel.Chapter 58: mix of butterflies and vomit .Janina is about to cry out in pain when it gets swallowed by the shock sent through her whole body as a blade pierces her stomach. The pain that spreads rapidly to every cell in her body forces a gasp out of her."Did it really have to be like this?" says Janina in a forced breath. "Were you really looking for Clyde to kill him like this?"The brunette cries as she is stabbed again and again, the pain no longer giving her a break to think. But even as she fights to live, she is grateful. Because it is her who's dying."You deserve to die for what you did to her; what you did to me! How could you keep her away from me?" Lucius rambles without noticing who is the receiver of his violence. " She will be better without you. I will take care of her like you never did, and I will love her like she deserves. Everything is okay now. With you gone, Jana will finally love me too."With lost eyes and gone mind, Lucius stabs his on
Sold to Diaz Cartel.Chapter 57: did it have to come to this? .Getting to the room had been easy because of the fight mainly concentrating in the middle of the mansion, but getting to the other side where the entrance and the kitchen were, posed a bigger challenge than Althea expected. Which is why the moment the kitchen comes into view, Althea thanks her past self for leaning the mansion's lay out to perfection. All those sleepless nights finally paying off."HOLY FUCK!" Lucius screams. The raven is ready to leave the kitchen, finally sure that Janina isn't there, nor alive or dead, when he is met with a small body. Of course, with a lifetime of training and experience under his belt, the first thing Lucius does is to bring the small knife in his hand to Althea’s throat. "What are you doing here? Where is Diaz? WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING HERE?"Still with a knife to her throat, Althea just looks at Lucius, eyes full of surprise. She wasn't expecting this."Ah, sorry, I guess y
Sold to Diaz Cartel.Chapter 56: commotion, constriction. The pair keeps walking, Althea with a hand set seductively on Diaz’s chest and the burette letting himself be led backwards. They step slow and carefully but never taking their eyes off each other. Even with panic rising inside her, Althea knows she can control the situation as long as she keeps her eyes hooded and lips puckered."You drive me crazy," growls Diaz. His voice is low and raspy, full of arousal."I know." Althea pushes him, forcing the taller to sit on the bed.Althea doesn't know if it is because of her new hair but she has a newfound courage helping her stay calm as she drops to her knees and licks her lips, wetting the pink flesh in preparation. Diaz doesn't miss the signal, immediately relaxing his thighs to let them open wider. The small body in between them moves close to undo the button on the expensive pants, her fingers expertly acting.Seeing Althea on her knees with blonde hair always made Diaz think t
Sold to Diaz Cartel.Chapter 55: the only way out .One step at a time, Althea walks out of the bathroom and into the walk-in wardrobe where she covers herself with one of the thick coats Diaz had brought her a few months ago. The fluffy piece of clothing hangs off her shoulders prettily, falling just under her butt. Once warm again, Althea gathers herself once more, ready to walk to the bed.Except her legs disagree.A moment she is standing and the next she is falling to the floor. There is nothing soft to break her fall as her body refuses to keep fighting gravity, her head bouncing on the hard surface. Her head hurts as much as her body now. There is nothing left in her. No power. No will. No hope. Nothing. She doesn't even care that her coat's zipper has fallen open, letting the harsh wind bite at her skin. Althea knows she has to move but she can't find a reason to do it. There is nothing waiting for her but pain. What does it matter if she hurts there, on the floor or outsid
Sold to Diaz Cartel.Chapter 54: classical, isn't it? .The windows and mirrors are blurred by condensation when Diaz enters the dance room. Althea is in the middle, unaware of the predatory eyes following her body dancing fluidly to a classical piece. The music is morbid and sad, the violin resounding in the whole room with its sorrow, moving the blonde's body from one side to the other. Althea lets the music move and bend her in different directions until she feels like she is a mere doll being controlled by the changing notes echoing in her bones. It is a beautiful and devastating sight. Somehow, the skinny blonde who couldn't even manage to stand on her own is now gliding on the floor, effortlessly. The way she dances makes Diaz want to cry because as Althea moves perfectly to the rhythm of a weeping violin, Diaz can see and feel the blonde dying. The dead ballad keeps on playing as the brunette's eyes fill with tears and his heart shrinks with the fear of losing the only perso
Sold to Diaz Cartel.Chapter 53: hidden innocence .Althea stays hidden under the blankets, scared to face the world but too restless to sleep. Her mind buzzes with guilt and unsaid words mixed with the memories of soft touches and pleasure. She feels disgusting, not because of what she caused but because of the fear of getting caught. She is scared Diaz is coming for her, scared of the brunette knowing, somehow, that it was her who sent the message. The heavy weight of what she has done rests on her body, crushing her soul against the bed, yet, there is a single pebble of relief. At least she got to free Harley. I will bear it so you can be free.Because it doesn’t matter what she does nor how she thinks, Harley can never be saved. He is too enamoured by the hitman and too traumatised by the Cartels. There is no escape when the prisoners don't know they are in a cage. Finally giving up on sleep, Althea hops out of bed. Her feet hit the floor harder than she expects, the iciness c
Sold to Diaz Cartel.Chapter 52: Call me Sunshine? .The memory of the first meeting when they decided the details for the attack comes to his mind, accompanied with an awful thought. He looks at Ronan with pity, almost begging for forgiveness for the words that he is about to say. “Harley knew.”The air turns heavy with those two words. Ronan feels his heart stop beating and his blood start rushing to his ears. Everyone is looking at him, and Diaz has hate in his eyes.“That is nonsense,” whispers Ronan, but he can’t bring himself to sound certain.“He was in the kitchen when we met,” says Diaz through gritted teeth. “He is the only other person who was there.”“Even if he wanted to, he has no way of contacting Fernandez! Come on, guys! He is just a cook.”“Don’t treat me like an idiot.” Diaz’s voice is low and threatening, making even the hitman tremble. “You don’t think I know about that old computer you gave him for Christmas last year?! Huh?!”“Wait, what the fuck! How dare you
Sold to Diaz Cartel.Chapter 51: who is the unfortunate being then ? .Days pass in a blink. The mansion is pure chaos. Everyone runs from one place to the other, rushing to complete the preparations for the fast approaching war. All the men know something big is about to happen. They can feel it in the air, travelling into their anxious bodies and coursing through their veins. Everything is such a haze, nobody notices the sneaky blonde hiding in plain sight, stealthily scurrying in and out of the room behind the kitchen. No one pays attention as she tiptoes delicately nor when she fills her pocket with a bunch of colourful pills. With every trip to the kitchen, the hoodie in the corner of the wardrobe fills up with more pills. Althea thanks her past self for being smart enough to keep secret stashes around Harley’s room. Just in case. With the last of her secret drugs in her underwear, Althea waits until she hears Lucius limp out of the room and lock the door behind him. After loc
