Anna was amazed by how fast Caddaric got there and even with the sword. It was less than a minute when she hung up the phone and told her men to get ready for action. Caddaric didn’t want to use a gun. Merely hearing that someone was assaulting his Ari, he had no intention to give the person a fast death. He wasn’t just angry with Dario but also with Ariana. How could she be so careless to risk her life like that? Let’s just say that she didn’t care about herself but what about her unborn child? Did the seed not mean anything to her? Caddaric was grossly disenchanted. Then again, no one knew the reason why Ariana made such a move but he did. Dario ran away with her money and still had the guts to abuse her when she asked for it. But how much was two million? Couldn’t she have asked Caddaric? Even if she didn’t want to ask him, was it worth her life and that of her unborn child? No correct word could describe the level of his anger when he turned to the man screaming on the floor.
Caddaric could feel his heart shredding with every step he took towards the couple, who hadn’t noticed him, despite people murmuring around them. A waitress passed by him with a tray full of martini. Caddaric took one, gulped it down, and dropped the glass on the tray. Without a word, he pulled Ariana to his chest and punched the guy in the face. Ariana was terrified and began to wiggle out of his arms to the man but Caddaric only held her tighter, carrying and throwing her over his shoulder. He seemed to have gone crazy because he didn’t care anymore if their relationship was made public. This pregnancy fiasco was driving him mad. “Let me go,” Ariana yelled, hitting his back with her hands and kicking her legs in the air but Caddaric ignored her plea and walked faster, everyone who saw him gave way instantly. Ariana knew she was in trouble. Now she had the money but wouldn’t be able to escape anymore since she already knew what Caddaric could do. Her heart sunk as all her struggl
Caddaric’s fingers tightened around the note, shrinking it to a dot after he had memorized the location. His teeth ground together, his jaw clenched and his blood boiled. Only one person could operate without a trace and he had the guts to not only infiltrate the club but also Caddaric’s exclusive hotel room.He was bold enough to ask for his sister in exchange. Caddaric instantly dialed a number. “Grandpa, please get someone to watch your location and come back.”Before Marshall could ask why only a beeping sound was heard. Then he dialed Anna’s number. “Please meet me in my office.”By the time Caddaric got there, Anna was already waiting for him. Seeing the scowl on his face, she guessed that something gruesome had happened.“Did you find out who messed with the CCTV?” Anna asked him. It could be the only thing to have gotten him so upset. Caddaric didn’t have proof but his instinct was strong,“It’s Invisible.”Anna felt uneasy. For years, no one has been able to track down that c
Throughout the drive to his father’s manor, Anna’s words kept ringing in Caddaric’s head. ‘I never thought you’d fall in love like your father.’ What about Miranda? He already gave her his word and it was unlike him to go back on it. But did he have it in him to make Ariana his mistress? The answer was an instant no. She deserved more than that, had his heart, and also carried his seed. Confusion was at the center of his mind with the fear of something bad happening to Ariana. It was late when he arrived at the manor but the security let him in. Being sure that everyone would be asleep he went straight to Cassandra’s room without thinking of a reasonable excuse but just as he was about to knock on her door, a deep voice sounded behind him, “what do you want here?’ Caddaric turned to meet his father’s penetrating gaze. If nothing at all, he was expecting to meet Hunter and not his dad. “I want to see Cassa,” he said indifferently. There was no panic in his tone. Casper had a gut fe
Feeling the heated gazes of the three people on herself. Cassandra was uncomfortable and began to think that she was being suspected of kidnapping Ariana. It made her sour that her brother would think so lowly about her.“Why? You think that I kidnapped her?” She asked in a bitter tone. Caddaric observed her and said,“No one is accusing you. You don’t look afraid of being killed if your father doesn’t pay your ransom because indeed if things don’t go well, someone can get hurt. It’s why I regret not allowing you to train like the others. If left alone, how will you survive?” he asked worriedly.Cassandra sighed. She might not be so tough but she wasn't weak. “I can survive anywhere, don’t underestimate me.”Caddaric was a little pleased by her resolve. In this world, if you weren’t tough, then you had to be wise but it was best to be both. “Then I don’t think we have a problem but you will have to be with me,” Caddaric said.“Who else will I be with?” Cassandra asked, faking a smile.
The woman didn’t hold back in giving her answers. For as long as she was concerned, she wasn’t going to let Ariana leave here alive. “Well, since you are going to die, then you must as well know that he is Invisible.”Ariana froze instantly and also at that moment, she recalled where she had heard the name, Allan. Yes, it was from Cassandra. They were secretly in love with each other so why not kidnap Cassandra instead of her? It would have made a beautiful love story. ‘The Blade Princess and the rogue,’ Ariana reminisced in her mind before she asked again,“So, you had Invisible kidnap me for you?”“No bitch, Invisible kidnapped you because of Cassandra. I only outsmarted him,” the woman said coyly, congratulating herself for being the end-time hero but Ariana was baffled. She wanted to hold more information till Caddaric got there but she was also interested in the information she was getting.“What do you mean by outsmarting him?”The woman shook her head with disappointment at the
Allan wasn't startled at the news. He looked through his binoculars, his heart giving a wild thump at the sight of Cassandra from the distance. He knew that Caddaric would not even see the building because of its location and design. All he wanted to do was to hold Cassandra in his arms for the first time and somehow, Caddaric’s intimidating appearance didn’t scare him at all. For as long as it was Cassandra, he was willing to do anything for her. He turned to Darel and said with excitement, “Nothing changes. We stick to the plan.” Darel’s expression was derisive. “Are you mad?” He asked. Allan was relaxed. He couldn’t infiltrate the Blade Towers anymore but had his heart delivered at his doorstep so why should he give up? “I’m not forcing anyone. You are free to leave if you want to but I’m going by the plan.” Darel felt sorry for him. He might just lose his life for this Blade princess without anyone to remember him while they marry her off to some rich dude in the future. The
At the moment, Caddaric wasn’t certain that he could fully trust Ariana again. Not after knowing that she wanted to run away from him. It would take time for her to gain back his trust so he couldn’t convince himself to believe what she just said.“I will call you back,” he said to Marshall on the phone and hung up. Then he asked Ariana, “What do you know about this?”Ariana wasn’t comfortable with the way he skimmed at her and how cynical he was of her since she had always been on his receiving side. Whereas thinking about the lies she had told him about her pregnancy, she swallowed the bitterness that was churning her stomach.Caddaric trusted her wholeheartedly and she lost it all in a blink. She swallowed tightly and said, “His name is Allan.”She didn’t say anymore, knowing that Caddaric would be able to figure out the rest and he did.“The same one who infil…”“Yes,” Ariana answered instantly, cutting him off before he could complete his sentence and adding, “that’s why he can’
