Ariana had to think carefully. She enjoyed working as his secretary because the man was busy and kept everything professional but thinking about her future, what if something happened between them and their relationship turned sour?

She might lose her job as a secretary and go back to being a waitress, which would be shameful, more like a fall from grace kind of story.

It was better she kept both and reported to different bosses. If anything happened between them, she could still work with her head high. Her response was a subtle, “No.”

Caddaric knew he was playing with fire by insisting because he didn’t know how long he would be able to hold back that burning desire. Still, it only felt worse to be away from her. “What if I add the job of a supervisor instead of a waitress? I’ll increase your working hours as my secretary and reduce your hours as a supervisor. Your salary will also be adjusted accordingly.”
