CARTER’S POV

I had been cooped up in this house for days. Whoever thought being an Alpha meant freedom was sorely mistaken. We had called all the wolves home for their own safety but rather than be grateful, they spent their days bickering.

I should have left them out in the world where the hunters could find them. The wolves at the rocky mountains had gotten their pound in flesh. They had lost one of their own to hunters and had taken the lives of five hunters.
