Days turned into an agonizing routine. Each morning, I would wake up to the sound of distant footsteps, hoping it was Tobias coming to rescue me. But it never was. The food they brought was barely enough to keep me alive. At this point, I wanted to die. I was tired, I was living the life of a criminal.
