This was the first time the eye of the ancients was intruding into my personal life. I would have to find the time to meditate to see what was up.

Ronan noticed. “What's wrong?” He asked.

My wolf had been trapped for so long. I don't know how much longer she could take.

“I just felt a jolt of cold,” I lied, rubbing my arms. Ronan took off his jacket immediately and draped it over my shoulder.

The car comes up front and we don’t speak as we make our way back into the car. There was something in the air between us that wasn’t there before. It was electric and charged.

The ride back to the mansion was quiet but it was a comfortable silence. Besides, the guards were up front and we couldn't talk much. But, I could feel that I had his attention.

When we finally pulled over at the house, Ronan stepped out first, coming around to open my door. I took his hand and let him help me out of the car. We walk up the stairs, our footsteps perfectly matched.
