BRIELLE’S POV

Brielle observed Madeline's jaw drop open after her final question.

She had anticipated the reaction, just as she had observed Madeline's gaze remaining fixed on the black leather bag in her hand.

Brielle tried hard not to show the fear in her expression as the awful feeling within her continued to stir.

She was more afraid after watching Madeline and Lady Delilah's conversation through the window.

Brielle thanked her body for not slowing down and succumbing to slumber as she reflected on her difficulty sleeping.

She would have missed the show if she had given in to slumber.

She’d been wide awake and alert when she heard the car drive in, and she had rushed out of her bed and straight to the window to see who had arrived at the mansion.

It didn't surprise her that it was Lady Delilah's jeep, but she was taken aback when she saw Madeline smiling and talking with the mistress, even taking a bag from her.

Brielle had no idea what Madeline was up to with the mistress

DARIUS POVDarius had arrived at his destination a few hours before, and he was settling in after a long and exhausting journey. The hotel suite reserved for him screamed elegance and luxury. It had everything he needed, and Darius adored the space. He was putting his clothes away in the gold-plated wardrobe when he heard a knock on the door. Whoever it was didn't even wait for his consent or approval before swinging open the door, and in walked the porter who had shown him around the suite moments before. "Is anything the matter?" Darius immediately inquired, turning around with a slight smile on his face. "Not much, just special requests regarding your preferred menu and items you'll require during your stay here." The young man appeared to respond by handing over a paper, which he immediately collected. Running his gaze through the lists, the minutes passed in silence until Darius was finished. Moving closer, heads bowed, and fingers pointed at the paper, Darius made some a

BRIELLE’S POVBrielle couldn't sleep. Her mind was flooded with thoughts she couldn't keep track of, just like the previous nights. As she was tossing and turning for the umpteenth time, she began to recall her earlier conversation with Madeline. Brielle couldn't believe Madeline was now so close to Lady Delilah, and she couldn't shake the feeling that the two of them were up to something sinister. Something that kept making her stomach churn, and she despised the sensation. “No, no!” She exclaimed loudly, turning around on her bed and furiously shaking her head. She wasn't going to think about Madeline or Lady Delilah. This evening, she didn't want anything or anyone to ruin her mood. Sitting upright, chewing her nails furiously, not caring that she could injure herself in the process, Brielle’s thoughts wandered to Lord Darius, and she clenched her thighs in embarrassment, a blush creeping up her cheeks.Had he arrived at his destination? BRIELLE’S POVThe sun rays from the nearby open windows shone straight down on Brielle's eyes, and she was sitting up on the bed in an instant. Blinking her eyes slowly and rubbing furiously at them so she could see well, Brielle slowly opened her eyes, yawning loudly. It was morning again, another day where she would sit alone from morning to night doing nothing. Thinking about Lord Darius almost every time didn't automatically translate into any duty, and she let out a small smile at the thought of him again. Yawning again, Brielle calculated in her head that it was just three days since the Lord of the manor had embarked on his journey, and shrugging her shoulders, eyes swooning, a blush crept up her cheeks. She missed him so much… so much that it hurt, and she didn’t know what to say about this. ‘He doesn’t give a fuck about you, Brielle….’ She tried to remind herself, but she still thought of him.Not to mention her nights were filled with satisfying orgasms she had while ple

MADELINE’S POV"Are you all set for tonight?" When she heard Lady Delilah's voice, Madeline's face lit up, and she leapt from the bed she was sitting on. She'd been waiting for the mistress since she’d been summoned. However, when she arrived, Madeline was told she'd gone out on a quick errand. Making use of the free time, she’d been so lost in her thoughts, seated on the bed and fidgeting her fingers anxiously as her mind drifted, that she probably hadn't heard Lady Delilah come in. “Yes, ma…” Madeline trailed off, curious about what had been said earlier because she didn’t quite catch a thing. "I'm referring to the mission. Are you all set for tonight?" Lady Delilah inquired again, a sinister smirk on her face, and Madeline's dark smile mirrored hers. "Yes, yes, I am fully prepared." She replied reassuringly, nodding once. "Wonderful, wonderful..." Lady Delilah said satisfactorily, and Madeline watched as the woman confidently paced around the room. Tonight, Brielle would be

DARIUS POVHalf-naked strippers in nothing but panties and bras flocked to Darius, but he politely declined their advances at every turn. He'd come to this bar at the request of one of his most important business clients, and they'd gotten halfway through their deal, but now they were resting. Sipping his whiskey and setting the glass cup in his hand on a nearby table, he straightened his suit and adjusted himself in his seat. Looking around, Darius noticed the supposed business client being sucked out by a naked lady on her knees, and he dragged his gaze away from the repulsive sight. Darius picked up his cup again, slightly ruffling his hair, and began to down the contents in large quantities, pouring more whiskey. While he sat casually looking around, more and more women approached him, but it never occurred to him to grab any of the blonde or brunette-haired ladies by the waist and have his way with them. He wasn't just feeling like it this evening, and if he slept with any o

  • Sold To The Lycan King   Indescribable Feelings

BRIELLE’S POV The journey to the Jeep lining outside the castle felt tense and potentially deadly. Brielle was terrified by the ambient silence, which combined with the eerily quiet atmosphere safe for the sounds of birds and crickets chirping, and she felt as if she was walking to her doom. Lady Delilah had come to her room earlier, telling her about the supposed trip they were going on tonight, and the bad feeling she had been having for days had returned in full force. She couldn't shake the feeling, and each step she took increased her anxiety. The maids escorting her to the arranged vehicle all had nonchalant expressions on their faces, and she couldn't ask them anything because she knew they were as clueless as she was. 'Does she want to take you shopping?' 'Don't you think she has some other motivation for this?' 'I smell danger, Brielle.' This time she was mind-linking with her wolf, and no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't cut off the weak animal. Worse, she w

  • Sold To The Lycan King   Window Suspicions

BRIELLE’S POVThe journey seemed to last an eternity. Brielle had already lost track of time since the Jeep started moving. She'd dozed off halfway through the journey, the cool night breeze lulling her to sleep, and now she was wide awake, her eyes alert as she looked around the car. Brielle noticed Madeline was wide awake, hands up her chin, and she seemed to be thinking seriously about something, thanks to her wandering eyes. At the same time, she opened her mouth to say something to her, but her pride and ego wouldn't let her, so she quickly closed it. She wouldn't be the one to initiate a conversation only to be ignored; she couldn't accept that. The conversation they had before the car started was a clear indication that Madeline was channeling her inner vest towards her. Brielle should have known before this time that Madeline didn't like her and was only using her for her benefit. Thankfully, her instincts had been correct when she decided to avoid a bit of Madeline, an

DARIUS POVDarius jumped out of bed, eyes wide open, sweating profusely as if he'd just finished a marathon. His heart was pounding furiously, and he was experiencing sharp twinges of pain in his lower abdomen, chest, and back. He let out a small yell, clutching his chest tightly, trying to alleviate the pain in any way he could. He began by looking around the room, curious as to why he had awoken so late, but no one was there except him in the large suite. He looked at the large doors, too, checking to see if it was open, but it was duly locked and just the way he had left it when he had arrived from the club earlier. He'd had a dream, hadn't he? He asked himself, blinking twice and trying to remember something, but nothing came to mind. The sharp pain in his chest pulled at him again, and this time he clutched himself tightly, trying to alleviate the ache while trying to think of a logical reason why he was feeling this way. BRIELLE'S POVHer heart fluttered like a flower picked from a peaceful garden. Brielle searched for words to convey how she felt as Darius hoisted her up the floor. Euphoria. Joy. Thrill. Delight. Excitement. Surprise. Yes. These words clearly defined the situation, but there was more going on. Something deeper. Something she couldn't quite put her finger on. Perhaps she didn't know what word to use, but it wasn't happiness. It was more than that. "My love. Mine, all mine..." Darius repeated in her ears as he twirled her around. After a few minutes, he dropped her back onto her feet.Brielle remained still for a moment, attempting to regain her breath. Her mind buzzed with so many different thoughts, and she felt dizzy and possibly lightheaded from all the dancing, but that didn't stop her from stretching her toes and kissing Darius on the cheek."How are you feeling?" Darius asked, and she replied. “I feel on top of the world. Or maybe I'm already flying through it; I have no idea

A MONTH LATERDARIUS' POVThe banquet went better than Darius had anticipated. He had hoped for a low-key and personal ceremony in which he could deliver the glad news to his people and seal the everlasting union with his partner, but the event planners had other ideas. They'd gone over and aboard, and he surprisingly approved. Every area of the castle was artistically ornamented with gold and scarlet decorations. Everything was stunning, from the beautiful wall tapestries to the intricate floral arrangements, and the crystal chandelier glowed like a light in the hall's center. It was ethereal. Just like the woman for whom this entire charade was intended. Darius smiled as he continued to glance around. His gaze swept through the guests in the room, mingling, drinking, and speaking in groups. He also watched the servants rushing around carrying platters, refilling drinks, and doing almost anything to keep the party going. Finally, his wandering attention was interrupted by the mo

BRIELLE’S POVThere wasn’t a force more powerful in the universe than love. At least, that was what Brielle was thinking as she watched Darius dress in front of the mirror. Her lips watered as he flexed his muscles to remove the white shirt that hugged his body's curves. They had both healed, and all that remained were the scars. Though as memories converged in her head, she nearly let out a whimper. She’d gone through a lot, and damn! Anytime she remembered the whippings, electric shocks, cold water dousing, and even days she went without food, tears streamed down her cheeks. It wasn't easy to forget what had happened, but with Darius, it was becoming easier than she had expected. He was at her side throughout the recovery process, and she couldn't have asked for anything more. "Like what you see?" Darius smirked, interrupting Brielle's thoughts. He was looking at her through the mirror, and when their eyes met, her cheeks flushed. She looked away."Umm." She murmured and said n

  • Sold To The Lycan King   A Love Rekindled

DARIUS POV Darius walked carefully down the corridor with his guards in tow. He’d woke up a few hours earlier, and all he could think about was seeing Brielle. The dream from the day before continued to torment him, keeping him half-awake all night. Now, all he wanted was to see and hug her tightly. Then he’d apologize for how he had neglected her—the anguish he'd caused her by not being present when she needed him most. And maybe she'd forgive him. But would she? The inexplicable torture she went through in Draken Havix's hands, as well as his irresponsible choice to send her out into the wild, was nothing short of horrific. It was unforgivable, and Brielle deserved much better. She deserved more than to be with a man like that. He was a coward and an idiot who couldn’t even admit that she had transformed him from who he used to be to a better person. But then, he was also a selfish fool, so he wouldn’t let her go. Not in this lifetime or the next. Regardless of these thought

It took a few more attempts before she could open them properly, and eventually, they slid wide enough for her to see where she was.Brielle had to squint a little until her eyes adjusted to the light, which was in stark contrast to what she was used to - dim lighting, quiet, and empty space. 'Where was she?' She frowned and pondered, 'How did she get here?'.She tried to push herself up into a sitting position but froze when a sharp pain shot through her skull again."Damn it." She muttered quietly, lifting a hand to her forehead, only to discover that it was attached to something, and she could not move it. "Fuck! Where am I?" She cursed aloud and, with her eyes roaming, began taking inventory of the room. And that's when she noticed it. The familiar curtains dangling from the windows. The dark red couches facing one another, and gold-plated side ta

  • Sold To The Lycan King   The Fall Of Draken Havix

DARIUS POVDarius fought with all of his strength. He hit and punched, channeling his inner strength until Draken was a bloody mess.Earlier, when Draken had transformed into a wolf and leaped at him, Darius had been prepared for it. His fangs and claws had sharpened, and he’d transformed into his lycanthrope wolf form. He rarely shifted, but when he did, he wasted no time. As a Lycan, he would always be faster than his opponent and better equipped to catch his prey. So when the man attacked, Darius didn't even think about what he could do. His beast form had switched to autopilot, and its instincts took over. He'd scarcely noticed anything when he attacked. He only felt the pain of the punches and strikes, which weren't too severe because he wasn't on the receiving end of them. Draken, on the other hand, was severely beaten. His hairy face was matted with blood, and there were several large gashes all over his body. At this point, he wasn't even fighting back, just squirming and

One of them spoke, and despite her weakness, Brielle managed to stretch her ears enough to hear what they were saying. "Which is? Can someone fucking talk to me?" Another guard inquired, and the whip in his hand tumbled to the floor. It fell with a resounding thud, and the sound echoed off the cell walls. The air seemed to cool even more. The room was silent for a long time until one of the guards spoke up again. "Master Draken and Lord Darius are…"Brielle's heart sank when she heard Darius's name."Goodness gracious please, let nothing happen to him…" The words came out of her mouth unexpectedly, almost in prayer, and a stray tear streamed down her left cheek. BRIELLE'S POV "Please…" Brielle begged and screamed at the top of her lungs, but the guards did not stop. The more she pleaded, the more the torture increased, and they continued to whip her body with their batons. But she understood why this was happening. Darius was here again. He'd arrived yesterday, and while she hadn't seen him, the rate at which her torture had risen was clear evidence of this. Her agonizing yells were intended to convey a message to Darius. Draken was using it as a tactic to demonstrate that he still had the upper hand and leverage. Brielle's heart wrenched painfully as she thought of the wicked older man who held her captive. A shiver ran down Brielle's spine as she remembered their talk from last night. He'd informed her that Darius still loved her, and despite her misery, she couldn't deny that his words had given her hope. Even when he made insulting jokes about her and Darius's deaths, a small part of her brain ignored the unpleasant words and focused
