There was a deep silence between both of them before Draven ended up speaking his thoughts aloud,

“I do wonder how Draven could miss it. He would be beating himself up right now about the whole situation. I am sure he would feel so terrible that he had had an imposter as a mate all these years,” Draven said, as his hands flew to his lips.

“I don't think Damien should blame himself too much, you know. I mean no one could even tell her true face and intent. She had hidden so well. I who claimed to be her friend couldn't also. I guess they hide their true nature and scent so well,” Anastasia said to Draven.

Draven nodded as his mind went back to Melina. He wondered if he should say anything about her. He thought about it for a while and finally decided to let it go in the meantime.
