Meanwhile, on the other side...

A man with a cold face and hardened jaw appeared lost in thought as he stared at the towering trees in front of him. As far as the eye could see, only the greenery from the leaves filled the scenery.

Amid his silence, he was actually contemplating various matters in his mind, including Irene's reasons for leaving him abruptly without a trace.

"Was I too harsh on her that she left me without any word? It's been over four days now, and she still hasn't shown any sign of her whereabouts," he mused to himself.

In fact, right when Irene left, Adam saw her injured foot quite clearly. For some reason, that sight triggered a surge of guilt within him. Perhaps that's why Adam allowed Irene to board a black car that drove her away.

Adam cursed himself for letting Irene go, his gaze fixed on the departing car in the middle of the road, as rain began to fall, soaking his fur.

"I have to get her back..." Adam muttered, clenching his fist unconsciously.

Cliff chuckled upon hearing Adam suddenly inquire about something that had never piqued his curiosity before. Not to mention curiosity, even thinking to care was out of the question."Thibeult City? Are you referring to the modern city that no longer believes in werewolves?" Cliff asked, still chuckling and, truthfully, provoking Adam's irritation."Yes... what do you know about that city?" Adam asked, still attempting to control his emotions.Cliff pondered for a moment, then looked at Adam and grinned. "It's a vast city. Don't even attempt to reveal your werewolf identity if you still care about your werewolf group," Cliff replied and chuckled again.Adam sighed, closed his eyes slowly, then opened them again. "Irene ran away from home and went to Thibeult City," Adam stated.Upon hearing Adam's words, Cliff, who was about to sip his wine, abruptly halted and turned his face toward Adam."Irene? The human you've kept as a slave in your house under the guise of providing an heir?" Cl

Seven months later…Seven months had passed since that tumultuous time when Adam had set out to find Irene. Now, the scene had shifted to a more peaceful setting. As days turned into weeks, Irene's anticipation grew stronger, mirroring the gradual progression of her pregnancy. The scent of fresh produce and the rustling of paper bags filled the air as she organized the items.Magdalena paused for a moment, sensing Irene's presence by the window. She knew that these final days of waiting were both beautiful and challenging for Irene. Magdalena had witnessed her transformation, not only physically but emotionally as well. The room was cozy, with soft pastel colors adorning the walls and a large window that let in a gentle stream of sunlight. Magdalena asked with a gentle smile, her hands adjusting the pillows behind Irene to make her more comfortable.Irene offered a tired but genuine smile in return. "Tired, but... overwhelmed with happiness."Magdalena's touch was soothing as she gently brushed a strand of hair away from Irene's forehead. "You've done something incredible today, Irene. Irene quickly parked her car in the designated employee parking area. With hurried steps, she rushed towards the main entrance of the office building where she worked. Her gaze briefly flickered to the silver wristwatch on her left hand – it was 8:15 AM, which meant she was 15 minutes late due to the traffic jam."Ah, darn it!" she exclaimed.Irene's steps quickened until she reached the entrance of the office building and met a security guard she had known for the past two years of working there."Good morning, Ms. Chamomile," the security guard greeted with his usual friendly smile. For some reason, the security guard at her office had a penchant for addressing Irene by her last name, Chamomile, which happened to be the name of a flower. He would often say that the chamomile flower was as beautiful as Irene's face, both equally exquisite and lovely."Morning, Mr. Hugo," Irene replied.Irene paused for a moment and then asked Hugo, the security guard of her office building, "Has the

"Irene," he greeted, gesturing toward the plush sofa, "please, have a seat."Irene hesitated for a moment but then acquiesced, settling into the comfortable cushions. The room, now a cocoon of guarded emotions, held within its walls the weight of revelations that transcended the mundane. Dr. Vaughan, the beacon of medical insight in this mystical realm, began to unravel the enigma that shrouded Noah's ailment."Noah's condition," Dr. Vaughan began, his tone measured, "stems from the unique nature of his werewolf lineage. Unlike typical werewolves, his werewolf side has not been touched by the energy of the full moon."Irene, her protective instincts flaring, interjected with a mix of disbelief and defiance. "Are you saying he needs to meet Lucian Hemmings to absorb the full moon's energy? Absolutely not!"Adam, acutely aware of the stakes, stepped in, suggesting a more private discourse with Irene. Dr. Vaughan, recognizing the delicate nature of the situation, excused himself, leaving the room in a hushed solemnity.Alone in the room, Adam and Irene stood on opposing shores of a heated debate. Adam, Noah, and Dr. Vaughan arrived at a secluded mansion that stood in stark contrast to the surrounding wilderness. The mansion, grand and luxurious, emerged from the woods like an unexpected oasis. The previous day had seen shared laughter and a newfound connection between them, but as he opened the door, a hushed silence replaced the usual liveliness that accompanied Noah.Concern etched Adam's face as he observed Noah, who lay in bed, his small frame seemingly overwhelmed by the blankets. The vibrant energy that typically radiated from the young boy was replaced by a quiet stillness."Noah, how are you feeling?" Adam inquired gently, his voice conveying both care and worry.Noah, eyes half-closed, weakly mumbled, "Mr. Alpha, my head hurts, and I feel really hot."Adam's heart skipped a beat. Fever. Panic set in as he approached Noah's bedside. The sterile scent of the medical room lingered as Noah, a 10 year old with wide eyes and a mop of unruly hair, sat patiently. Dr. Vaughan, a werewolf specialist, prepared the equipment to draw a sample of Noah's blood. The room was adorned with medical paraphernalia, but the calming presence of Adam, known affectionately as Mr. Alpha, provided a sense of reassurance to Noah."Alright, Noah," Dr. Vaughan began, readying the needle, "this won't hurt much. Just a quick prick, and we'll be done."Noah nodded, his trust in Adam extending to the pack doctor. The needle pierced his skin, and a small vial filled with his blood. Noah, although a bit uneasy, maintained his composure, knowing that this examination was crucial for the werewolf pack's understanding of his heritage.Once the procedure was complete, Noah hopped off the examination table, glancing at the vial filled with his blood. Dr. Vaughan smiled warmly. "You did great, Noah. We'll have the results soon."As they exited the medic

Irene absorbed the weight of Joseph's revelations about the Hemmings werewolf pack, the conversation took an unexpected turn. Joseph, now seated across from her, hesitated before delving into a more personal narrative, one intertwined with his own family history."My father," Joseph began, his voice carrying the weight of years of solitude and rejection. "Theo Hemmings. He was a werewolf, and my mother, human. A union that was never accepted."Irene, her mind still swirling with the complexities of the werewolf pack's dynamics, listened intently as Joseph unraveled the story of his origins. He spoke of the challenges faced by a child born of both worlds, belonging to neither. The tale painted a picture of ostracism, of a young boy grappling with his identity in a world that deemed him an anomaly."I was never fully accepted, Irene," Joseph confessed, his eyes reflecting the scars of a tumultuous past. "The pack saw me as a threat, a reminder of a union they wished had never happened.
