Heather responded fairly promptly after her training was over. She said she was starving and asked me to meet her at the sandwich shop in the trainee building. I was hesitant for a couple of reasons. First of all, I hadn’t left my apartment since Brandon broke up with me. I was afraid I might run into him, or even Elliott, and not know what to say to either one of them.
