The rest of my sophomore year went by in a blur. Spring break came and went. Lucy got her driver’s license, which was both exhilarating and terrifying at the same time. She was not the best driver ever, but my mom let me start riding to and from school with her, assured that Mr. and Mrs. Burk had set the car not to go over a certain speed and the radio wouldn’t come on while she was driving.
