80. Harsh Reality

Nicolas stood frozen in front of Adelia, his former fiancée, as Adelia's words rang through his mind. He couldn't believe what he had just heard. Memories flashed at the edge of his consciousness, yet remained out of his reach. The accident had stolen pieces of her past, leaving her in a state of confusion and uncertainty.

Adelia's eyes glazed over with a mixture of sadness and hope. She had spent days working up the courage to contact Nicolas, unsure whether he would remember her or the love they once shared. But she couldn't bear to let him go without at least trying to restore the connection they had lost.

Nicolas took a deep breath, his mind filled with questions and doubts. He felt so guilty for not recognizing Adelia, for not remembering the life they had planned together.
