"Too bad, it looks like we're not going to the Japanese restaurant," Nicolas said as the man wanted to part with Dianne at the elevator door.

He had to save time by eating at the cafeteria and then returning to his office to follow up on some complaints and reports from his subordinates.

Dianne nodded with a smile, she certainly understood Nicolas' condition and this was a common occurrence. "It's okay, dear. We can go to a Japanese restaurant next time. Or would you like me to bring you some food from outside?" Dianne offered.

Nicolas shook his head. "No, I don't want you to rush through your lunch just to come back to the office and bring me food. I can ask the intern secretary to bring me food from the company cafeteria," Nicolas said.

"All right then. See you at the office after lunch, Nicolas," Dianne said as she walked into the elevator. Nicolas waved and let the elevator doors close completely, making Dianne's face disappear from his sight.
