As I was about to make my escape, the alarm suddenly blared, and to my surprise, instead of the usual water, paint sprayed from the roof in a myriad of colors.

A mesmerizing blend of hues cascaded down, captivating me as they merged seamlessly. I instinctively kept my head down to shield my eyes from the paint and silently thanked my lucky stars that my bag was made of leather.

Suddenly, hands gripped my waist, and when I glanced up, I found Hayden staring back at me.

A burst of laughter escaped me as the paint drenched his hair, transforming him into a comical figure. Multiple shades dripped from his chin, and as I surveyed the surroundings, I realized that the floor was now covered in vibrant streaks.

I couldn't help but smile; Hayden seemed oddly content with causing mischief. Cleaning this up would be quite a challenge. To my surprise, the teachers hadn't emerged yet, and I wondered why.
