Chapter 46: Silent Treatment

I heard the shout coming from the concubines as they tried to stop Lady Maureen from attacking me. I didn't flinch but looked at her in her eyes when she almost slapped my cheek. She gasped and stepped back. I noticed the fear in her eyes.

“We are both a damn slut, Lady Maureen. You aren’t different from me because we are whores of King Edward. You don’t have the right to act like you’re higher than me. I’m not accusing you; it’s King Edward who went to my room and told me everything.” I gritted my teeth with so much anger. I tilted my head and proudly glared at her when I stepped forward closer to him.

“We can directly ask King Edward if you want to know if he’s the one who tells me that," I added. Her nostrils almost flared when she heard what I said to her. She began to pant; anxiety was evident on her face. I saw how the Omega looked at me with discomfort.

“You’re a story maker. I don’t see any reason why King Edward would go to your room to explain why he can’t sleep with you.
