Chapter Eighty -Two

I just knew Princess Kieran sent them. She was the one who could do something terrible to me.

Before I could do something, a huge blow from one of the muscular guys sent me on the floor and everywhere became pitch black.

I stirred uncomfortably, and realised I had rolled over onto my stomach. Still half asleep, I groaned as I felt the stiffness of a troubled night settle into my bones, and shooting pains run from my neck to the bottom of my spine. As I came to my senses, I realised it was still pitch dark. But wait, it wasn't night, was it?

That wasn't all, though. The pain and stiffness in my spine wasn't just from sleeping. There was a figure sitting on top of me, straddling my thighs so that I could not move, and fear gripped my throat. As soon as I tried to turn my head to scream, a hand tightened in my hair and shoved my face into the pillow, hard enough to stifle my voice and restrict my breathing.

I couldn't breathe, I was dying.
