“Yes, close the gates.” The voice of a man called out close to the back of the van where Arabella was before opening it up and leaving.
The screeching noise woke the young woman from her short-lived sleep.“Ugh…” She groaned lowly slightly opening her eyes to find light pouring in through the gaps in the wooden crate. The fact that she could fall asleep in such an uncomfortable position, just went to show how tired she’d been after days of barely any sleep and yawning, she lowered her face to think for a moment. She recalled being carried towards the ship, but then the vehicle moving sounded like they were on the road for a while, and then she had no idea when she had fallen asleep, but now she was wide awake and so she was curious to find out just exactly where she was.The noise from earlier seemed to have calmed down so it was probably okay to take a peek outside, but then she was was still in the crate, and worst-case scenario would be if they nailed the lid of the wooden box she was in.How would she leave, if that happened? She pondered, looking up slowly as she began to plot her escape.Even if she was on a ship, well they couldn’t throw her into the ocean. Right? It would be cruel and inhumane, but once again she reminded herself that she was still on land.Taking a deep breath, Arabella slowly lifted the lid of the crate and luckily it was open.As she did that, she took a peep to find something like a light tower far off scanning the area.Arabella gulped before slowly getting out of the crate, proceeding to stretch every muscle in her body. The light from the tower seemed to be rotating towards her again, and so she bowed a bit, moving to hide behind the crate.Much to her suspicions she discovered that she was in a van, and not a ship.“What the heck?” She muttered, still hiding from the light passing about, as she stared at the interior of the vehicle she was in. It was a large truck, and she didn’t waste anytime again before jumping out of the back. Her analytic eyes scanned her surroundings to find out that she was in the compound of a well built mansion that screamed so much affluence, and just directly ahead of her was the gate!Oh yes! She squealed, taking a step towards the gate when she froze instantly.“Are you sure it’s ten crates you counted?”“Yes, I am.”The voices of two different men came from beside the truck, and Arabella could only shuffle to hide under the car hoping they won’t be starting the engine anytime soon, and using a hand to cover her mouth, her chest pressed into the interlocking below. Two pairs of feet moved to the back of the van to confirm the number of boxes, “I told you so.”“My bad then.” One of the men said, and soon she heard their retreating footsteps, which indicated that they were going back in the same direction they’d come and Arabella knew that she might not get another chance to escape, than now.She waited a few seconds for the security light to pass her angle, before rushing out from under the car and towards the large gate. With all the speed she could muster, she began running towards the assumed ten feet tall gate in hopes that she could climb over before anyone noticed. She was moving stealthily between the garden bushes, her eyes already aiming at the small open door, intent on leaving but then she was not just so lucky.“Hey! You!” It was one of the voices from before that called out to her, when she finally came in contact with the gate and Arabella felt her heart jump to her feets. She quickly looked back to catch sight of two men running her way, and she quivered in her steps looking round as she tried to find another way out, but the security light blinded her sight for a few seconds, and she couldn’t move again.Like the way it entrapped her confusing her so badly, Arabella couldn’t move again and giving up, as her feets trembled the men just had about enough time to catch up with her.“Arghh!” She groaned in pain when they roughly tackled her to the ground - pinning her face to the stone interlocking, and she gritted her teeth painfully.“Let go of me!” She struggled underneath them trying to break free, her hands flailing about but they were more stronger than her and she was basically hopeless.“Who sent you? What did you come to steal?” One of them pinning her down began the questioning, while the other bent over to sniff her before whispering into the ear of his partner who slightly loosened his grip on her to avoid breaking her bones thankfully.“No one sent me! I’m not a thief! Let go of me, you idiot!”. She lied through her teeth, still kicking and screaming. In the past, she’d grown accustomed to using insults to hide her anxiety or to put up a brave front whenever she was in a tight situation, and she was clearly doing the same thing now. She’d just tried to hold back her bratty mouth while living with her uncle, the almighty Mr Grayson as he was the only person who could truly attack her physically without any fear of consequences, but to other person her words were always loosed.“Better watch your mouth, little girl”. The man asking the questions barked, as he used one of his hand to tap her back, and just as he moved to her front something peeked out from her chest. It was the stacks of money she’d taken the night before, one she had completely forgotten about when she had woken up and a hiss escaped her mouth as she watched the gaze of the two men narrow on her chest.“I see, not a thief indeed.” They both chimed in unison, their eyes appraising her and she felt scared all of a sudden. Before she could say a thing, one of them stretched her hands and took out a paper from her strapped bra, and Arabella yelled, cursing and wriggling like a word at the same time, “How dare you touch me! Filthy animal!”“You have such a foul mouth.” The man said again, lifting his hands and using his fingers to raise her face slightly. His lips parted to speak but closed almost immediately and a lewd smile formed on his thin lips, “And you have such a pretty face, hmmn.” He leaned in closer inspecting her features, but Arabella only tried squirming away, even when another strong grip on her hair tightened.“What do you think?” The vile looking man turned to his partner as he asked, “Can I keep her?”.“Hey! You two!” Someone said from afar, approaching from one of the other vans which had been parked in a line, “Stop slacking off”.They hastily stood up straight still holding onto Arabella.“Who’s that woman?” The man dressed in the same black uniform arched a brow.“A thief apparently. We caught her sneaking away. She also stuffed her clothes with money she must have gotten from the crates and now she is trying to run away”.“Fucking putas and thieves, this young children.” The man clacked his tongue disapprovingly not even soaring her a glance as he commanded before leaving, “Take her to see the boss.”“Yes sir!“ The two men replied in unison yet again, and still holding her in place, they dragged her all the way inside the mansion’s sprawl building regardless of how much she kicked and struggled all the way.“Let go of me! Help! I’m not a thief!” She whined like a little kid, sweat increasing all over her, as she began to wonder what fate awaited her now.She was being taken to see the boss, and from what she must have deduced these men were so dangerous, that her heartbeat increased sporadically wondering just what this boss would do to her.She had escaped pain, to more pain and… The men they stopped in their tracks, with her and Arabella instantly tried to lift her gaze but she stopped at the last second. All through the time they’d dragged her into the building, she had barely looked around, as her thoughts wandered but now she tried to look up, but she didn’t. Instead she stared down at the feet of a man whose domineering aura sent shivers down her spine. This was the boss! She could sense it already, and the deafening silence in the room, only increased her fears. She didn’t dare to look up in fear of what kind of monster it might be, and so starred down.“Who’s this?” The boss finally spoke, his raspy but strangely familiar tone catching her attention, and Arabella cold all through.“A thief we caught trying to escape, we don’t know how she got in.She took some money too.” The man who wasn’t holding her arms in place this time said, and catching her off guard he moved to pull her head backward, so she could face the man ahead.“Shit, she’s so stubborn!”He yanked at her hair and she yelped out in pain, before abruptly looking up to meet an unfamiliar face, with an otherwise pally gaze. She knew this man! She had met this man! She looked at him, her jaw dropping open in shock and awe at the same time.Dark but messy wet curls was plastered on his pale face as though he’d just taken a bath and his matching dark eyes held a hint of pride and amusement, while he watched her react to him. She also took note of his well-built physique which was accentuated by a loose-fitting white tank top, and she swallowed heavily. He was staring down at her with raised brow and it felt as though her heart would break out of her rib cage from excess adrenaline, and something that felt like fear, and was it pleasure? She had no idea...What was wrong with her? The way her heart was pounding… was it all due to the fact that she’d never seen such an attractive man before in her life? Why was she behaving this way, and his cologne… This was the man at the dork last night, or was she just hallucinating? She gulped as he took a step forwards, his fingers slowly moved to hold her chin up to his face, and with eyes narrowed he muttered much to her still blatant confusion, “You again!”“A pleasant surprise, is it not?” Klaus arched a mused brow, watching as the girl struggled against the strong grip of the men holding her. He had to admit it.He wasn't used to surprises, hell! Nothing could ever take that element. But this one? The puny young female in front of him was different. Her audacity was enthralling, intriguing. She glared at him, hunger, anger, pain and fear, all ladened in two brown orbs. His dark eyes scanned her small lanky frame, her thin bones that he could snap in the blink of an eye and at the thought he growled ferociously. His men had brought her to her knees, yet there was a strong and stubborn resolve in her, a fire that would not be easily quenched."So, I was right after all, when I saw you earlier. You were lying." He allowed his voice to remain calm, even though he was currently raging inside. His demon was reacting to her in ways he did not expect, in ways he did not like or did he? Seeing her on her knees... it did something to him."I wa
The voices in Arabella’s head continued to scream at her. She was stuck at a crossroad, and she did not know what path she was going to take. What the hell had she just said? Agreeing to his words almost immediately. Damn but she was a fool!Rubbing her palms against her ragged clothes, her heart thumping in her chest, she looked down to the floor. Beads of sweat trickled down her forehead, but she made no effort to wipe them off. She allowed them run down her face until she tasted the drops at the top of her lower lip; salty and sour, just how she was feeling at that moment. Her heart squeezed in her chest until she could barely breathe. Scorching and burning drops of tears threatened to rush down her eyes, and even though she fought it with everything she had, she eventually gave up.There was one truth that she could not deny though; if he killed her, it will all be over. All of it. She and her memories - that is if there was anyone to remember her - would be gone with the wind.
Klaus strangely saw it all. He saw all the emotions he had intended to evoke in her. He saw her fear when she felt the cold metal barrel of the gun kiss the back of her skull. He saw her raw and unfiltered anger when he had pronounced her a slave. He saw her helplessness, her confusion, and by the devils he was loving every moment of it.Seeing her brown eyes sparkle with all those deep emotions, smelling the sorrow that emanated from her soul, the pain that showed in her eyes, the anger that burnt within her like a fiery flame, all of this fed his soul, and he knew it wasn’t supposed to be a think of joy, but he was a demon after all and only pain and dark things brightened his spirit.Every single thing she was going through now, brought joy to his heart. He had never felt such a manner of raw excitement from a girl as young as she was. She was stubborn, her spirit would be hard to tame, but he would love every moment of it.Just as he would love to peel the layer of innocence off h
Klaus raised his eyes and watched his slave stand still, her feet glued to the ground. She appeared to be in a state of discomfort, and taking note of the beads of sweat gathered on her forehead, he already knew she had something to say.He could see the words dance at the tip of her tongue, even though her lips were firmly shut, and heaving a sigh, he shook his head and arched a brow at her."Come here. Take a sit." He ordered, his voice echoing in the room, arresting the attention of all and sundry, including the woman in front of him and this time with his face dropped down, he made the statement without glancing up at her.Why the fuck had she even stood like a statue or something? He was becoming a big irritated. He had only invited her over for breakfast after all. He had seen her shiver when his gaze had borne into her back when his face had been lifted, and even then he could sense her fear.He heard the sound of her heart beating fast, while he caught sight of her weak and
Klaus eyes were focused intently on his laptop screen, as he worked in his home office. He was barely aware of the time, as the room was always dark with its dark gray polished walls, matching window blinds and furniture. The only light in the room was the one which emanated from the screen of his laptop, and after some time, a yawn escaping his lips, his gaze shifted to the digital clock beside his laptop, and that was when he found out that it was already six in the evening. He hissed and looked away from the clock, realizing that he had spent all day working his head and eyes off that he had forgotten all about lunch, and he was also on the verge of escaping dinner too.His stomach growled, hurting him painfully and another wave of anger coursed through him when suddenly he remembered how he had left his half eaten breakfast in anger too. The thought of Arabella suddenly came rushing over him like violent waves from the ocean, and remembering that she was the cause of this turbul
Arabella skillfully worked the wet mop on the cream colored marble tiles, as she worked vigorously. She had been instructed to do a general clean up of the house, which included rooms she would not normally clean, and she was trying her best to do her work well.It had been four days since she came into this mansion, and everyday it seemed she uncovered a new room, or some hidden chamber. Nevertheless, the place was so big.The days going by speedily, she recounted how she helped Mrs George in the kitchen, spent her time doing laundry most times and eating her meals in the room. When she wasn't doing laundry, she was shelving and rearranging books in the large library - the place which was soon becoming her favorite place in this large house.Even though she didn't get a chance to read anything from her master's grand collection, being surrounded by so much knowledge and art was something she really appreciated, and she cherished her time there so much.Arabella had also noticed som
When Klaus stepped into his room, the almost sinful sight in front of him, had caused him to stop in his tracks instantly. The blood in his face and almost every other part of his body seemed to rush down to his dick, and swallowing swallowed hard, he sought for ways to dampen his dry throat, while he stared at the lady in front of him. What the heck? Slipping his hands into the pockets of his dark bathrobe to mask his painful and fast growing erection, Klaus cussed within himself as he examined the unruly sight in front of him, as he struggled deeply to take his eyes off her.He just couldn’t, and seeing as she had not noticed his presence in the room, he kept on staring. Fucking Slave, Fucking Arabella, bent over his bed, leaning against the soft foam and tucking the sheets into the wooden bed frame. Her curvy back was bent over, and her curvy ass was also thrown backwards. The length of her gown had risen all the way to her mid thighs, and if she lowered herself any further, he
Klaus drove fast.Faster than the speed of a raging cheetah, his legs never left the throttle, and gripping the steering wheel like his life depended on it, his dark onyx orbs shimmered with a glistering red.His face was lit up with raw anger, and rage enough to burn down an entire building. He huffed as he kept his feet glued to the accelerator of his car. Whoever it was, the man that had caused him to leave his house at such a time, and with such a temper, he would surely pay immensely for it.He fumed at the thought. Hell was going to receive at least one visitor today that he was more than sure of. Klaus Lavon could forgive anything, but not when it had to do with his money, and wasting his resources. The way he hated liars and thieves, that was the same way he abhorred deceitful humans too. When he arrived at the dock, he climbed down from his jet black Mercedes and slammed the door shut. His men were at the entrance, two of them already waiting, to welcome and usher him in bu
Arabella was in the kitchen, surrounded by pots and pans, chopping boards and ingredients scattered all over the counter. She was in the middle of preparing a meal for Klaus and the rest of the family, despite Mrs. George's warmings due to her condition, when she suddenly felt a warm gush between her legs. She does not make anything of it at first, and continues chopping away on the vegetables in front of her, until the contractions in her lower abdomen grow more frequent, and much more painful. The warm gush continues to trickle down her legs, contrary to what she had believed would happen. Her eyes widen with shock and fear as she realizes that her water has just broken. She quickly moves to the kitchen table and tries to catch her breath, trying to remember what she had read in her prenatal classes about the first stages of labor. She screams and reaches out for the kitchen counter. She grips it with her right hand, and fights to suck in deep breaths. She realizes that it's t
The baby shower was to be held in a beautifully decorated backyard, surrounded by blooming flowers and lush green trees. The warm sun shone down on the guests as they gathered around a table filled with delicious treats and colorful decorations. The table was covered in a crisp white tablecloth and adorned with pink and blue balloons, symbolizing the impending arrival of a baby girl and boy. Soft music played in the background, adding to the serene and joyous atmosphere.Klaus had made sure everything was done to perfection. From the decorations, to the food, to the cakes, everything was arranged in an elegant and luxurious manner. He had also decided to cater to the planning by himself. Arabella's hormones made her too emotional and dramatic to get any serious planning done. And he also did not want to stress her. In one corner of the yard, a group of guests sat on comfortable chairs, chatting and laughing together. They sipped on cool drinks and nibbled on sweet desserts, taking
Six months later The beeping sound of monitors could not take Arabella's eyes off the beauty on the screen in front of her. She could barely understand or see anything, seeing as the image on the screen was in black and white monochrome colours, but she knew what she was looking at. There, on that screen, she would see the image of her baby. She turned to look at Klaus, who was seated by her side. Together, they blushed as the doctor explained the image on the screen to them. The baby was already seven months in her womb, before Mrs. George suggested they make time out for an ultrasound scan. At first Arabella had not known what she meant, it was her first time being pregnant after all, but Klaus was able to explain to her the benefit of doing one, before she agreed to come all the way to the hospital. She was nervous when the doctor asked her to pull her shirt up, and rubbed a transparent liquid that smelt a lot like methylated spirit, but felt like gel on her stomach. A few
A diamond heart shaped ring stared back at her, glistering from within the red crystal shaped box it rested in. For a moment, a very long moment, Arabella could not blink. No matter how hard she wanted to tear her gaze away from the ring, and look into the eyes of the man she loved, she found herself unable to do anything else, besides stare into the eyes of the ring. When she could finally look away from the ring, it was to glance around the room once more. The rose petals, the candles, the daisies, the lights on the roof that screamed, "marry me, please", the piano recorder, the scent and aroma of love and romance that filled the room. He had singlehandedly prepared all of this, just to ask her to marry him?! He was really telling her that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her, and never apart, not even for a small moment! Arabella…Arabella did not know what to say, she was at a loss for both words and actions! The room spinned around her head, and she failed to be
Laughter, the sweet sound of chattering children erupted from all around her. Once again, Arabella opened her sleepy eyes to find herself in a sunny field of dandelions, all around her. The air was sweet and breezy, each part of the field contained different flowers, she was happy to be standing amongst dandelions. She looked up at the sky, and her eyes met with the bright blue clouds. Arabella was happy, very happy. It gladdened her heart to see somewhere filled with joy and happiness, and it only became better when she noticed the happy children running all around her. "Come on! Let us play!" One of them, a pretty little girl with dark hair and round brown eyes pulled the hem of her night dress. Arabella smiled at her. The girl let go of her dress, and joined the other children to run around. There were five of them in total, three boys and two girls. "Come on! Come on!" "We are going to have so much fun together!" "I cannot wait! Can you see it? Let us run to the sun and pl
The party was a success, and Klaus knew he had to thank the universe for blessing him with such good luck. If he was being honest, it meant a lot to him that his people had shown up to support he and Arabella. It meant that he could stop to imagine waging war with the entire underworld, because he would have done so if that was what it took to keep Arabella safe. As they drove back home, Arabella leaned her head on his right shoulder, while her hand rested on his thigh. He could tell she was exhausted, and he knew why. Klaus found himself blushing at the thought of all that had happened with Arabella at the party hall. After sneaking away with her, he took her into an empty room, where he made love to her with her back pressed against the wall. He was gentle, as gentle as he needed to be, knowing that he could not be too rough, or he could risk hurting her and the baby. And Arabella? She responded to his body in a way he had never thought possible. Her body reacted to every kiss
The first thirty minutes of the party went well, and she was yet to feel the burning urge to turn around and run, that had to count for something, right? Right. Klaus walked into the banquet hall beside her, hand in hand. Mrs. George followed them behind, she was here to make Arabella more comfortable. She knew it was the only reason she would have been asked to come along with them to a party or a feast, that really did not concern her. Arabella forced her mouth close once she stepped into the hall. The high red polished walls, large round table that contained nothing less than fifty people, the meals placed on the table, and the furniture; from the gargoyle sculptures, to the exquisite chandeliers, and the punch fountain that looked so beautiful at the center of the table, all of it made the room appear so dreamy. Arabella had never seen anything like it before. It did not take her long to know that the people in the room were not ordinary. Of course, they were demons, but this
The day had finally arrived. Klaus and Arabella had both agreed she would meet his people on the evening of the weekend, and since then, Klaus had counted down the seconds and minutes that would lead them up to that very moment. That evening, while she was getting ready, Klaus went over the details of the meeting once more."We will be meeting them at the banquet hall." He started to say. Arabella had dropped her brush on the dressing table, to turn to look at him. Klaus did not pay attention to the look in her eyes, he was terrified of what he would find; something like fear, that would make him back down. "A feast has been prepared. You would be dining with us, Arabella." Klaus could remember seeing her smile. He had a feeling the smile was to tell him to be calm, to reassure him that everything was going to be alright. To tell him that she could be strong enough for the both of them, it did not matter how, or what she needed to be strong for. As he paced about in the balcony
Arabella stayed behind at the table to finish her meal with Mrs. George. After father and son had both excused themselves, Arabella and Mrs. George stayed back to enjoy their dinner in peace. Maybe Mrs. George was able to eat in peace, but Arabella was not. All the while, she kept on thinking about what Klaus's father had intended to ask her, and what the answer to the question would have been. Mrs. George looked up at her at one point, a small smile on her face. "I do not think you should beat yourself up about it, Arabella. If it was anything very important, you should know master Klaus would never keep it away from you." Arabella dropped her fork, and cleared her throat. She stared deep into Mrs. George's eyes, before speaking. "I know, I know. But I can't stop myself from worrying. It sucks, it really does." Mrs. George heaved a sigh. She reached out to Arabella and touched her wrist gently. "You'll be alright, my dear. That is all I really need you to know." Arabella did
