AIDEN.There was this feeling of anticipation bullying down deep inside me as I made my way towards the dungeons. It had been long since I had last checked on Amber. And I was very curious to know how she was faring. I wanted to know how she had changed after the changes that I had implemented by asking the guards to move her to a better cell. I knew that was going to change things and make her feel more comfortable but this morning I felt a bit uneasy, the nauseous sensation returned so I had to go check what was going on. I was guessing she was OK so I was worried why I was feeling the same thing I felt a month ago or thereabout. Perhaps it was happening for a different reason other than I was maltreating her. Those were the thoughts going going and out of my mind as I made my way down the passageway to the place where she was locked. But as I walked on through the dimly lit corridor, I noticed that something was wrong. I could sense that something was off but I couldn't quite put
AIDEN.I was getting more and more impatient as I stood there waiting for Caliste. I felt so pissed and the anger got even worse as time went on. I just couldn't piece together why she did that and now she was going to pay for what she had done. And this time around the guards were going to be around so they would know who to respect when I made decision or commanded them to do something. But i wasn't going to punish her alone, thr guards were also going to have their own fair share of thr punishment, something worse than what Calisté would face. And I was going to make sure they were strictly warned about what to do and what not to do. I hated it when things like this happened and if she wasn't my Fiancé, she would have been in jail by now, rotting away. I could hear footsteps approaching from the bend at the extreme of the hallway and guessed right away that it was Calisté and the guard I had sent to call her. Ans yes, it was her. The moment they appeared at the end of the wide h
AIDEN.Calisté's head snapped to the side as she began to cradle her hot cheek. Thankfully I hadn't slapped her harder, else she would have been gone. The guards around me looked quite worried about what I had done and I knew it was time to even show them how far I could go with anybody who thought they could cross me. I grabbed her, still reeling with anger and pushed her towards me. I stopped once our faces were a few inches away. The silence got so loud and so tense you could hear the pulse of her heart beating so fast. It was happening the way I wanted it. She was breathing furiously while staring at me right there. The dungeon seemed to grow even colder because of the amount of tension that was present in the air. My chest heaved as I tried to appear less angry and think rationally so I wouldn't have to make any rash decisions. But the heavens knew damn well that I would slap her again, this time harder, if she tried anything stupid again. Thankfully she didn't. I released her
AMBER.I would be lying if I said that I wasn't shocked by the way things had been happening lately. There was no word that could describe the shock I had felt the day Aiden slapped Calisté in front of me and in front of the guards. It felt so strange and so shocking but I hid my feelings for the meantime, in case this was some sort of sick joke or something to lure me into thinking he now cared but the most surprising thing was how he had kept it up the whole time. Inused to think it was a joke but it was getting more and more serious and I couldn't help but wonder if he was just taking his time. One thing I had learned about him was that he didn't mind doing things slowly. Aiden took his time to make sure that what he wanted happened the way he exactly wanted it. That was my thought at first but with the way things were happening. I was left to question if this was really him or if he was sort of back to normalcy. But ever since I had known him, I had never seen him normal. So I
AMBER.Not complying would also be a very big problem so I decided to get my acts right and do what I had to do before he got angry again. I hesitated for a moment before complying, revealing the book I had clung to like a lifeline. And the moment he saw the book, he stared at it for a moment before he unlocked the cell door and walked inside. He walked towards me and lifted my sheets inky to reveal lots of books beneath it. His eyes lit the moment he saw them. My heart was beating very fast now and I didn't know what to do. What was I going to say now? I felt so worried about what he was going to do to me and what he could possibly do to Celia when I mentioned her name. F*ck! I cursed beneath, why was I always getting into trouble every time. But then I reminded myself that I wouldn't be getting into trouble if I had my own things and didn't have to beg anybody for theirs or accept what people suggested, just like in Celia's case. And looked at me sternly for some time, seemingly
AMBER.The tension that had gripped me began to ease, and in its place was a feeling of surprise and perplexity at what happened next. I had expected him to punish me right after that or leave the cell, promising to have me punished or dealt with later on. But he didn't do any of that, and that left me quite shocked. What did this mean? But I reminded myself immediately that this was one of his tricks to lure me into thinking I was safe with him, when he was ready to deal and pounce on me like the beast he was or maybe order Ethan rough me up like last time. But his reaction to the whole thing had been very strange, considering what had happened previous times when we had had the mildest arguments. Perhaps he only got angry by insults. I was puzzled but I kept quiet, wondering how things would turn out soon enough. You never knew with people like him. Aiden squinted at the book upon seeing the title and for a while, he stared at the book without looking at anything else. He zoned ou
CALISTÉ.I was still reeling with anger and frustration because of what he had done to me, how he had humiliated me in front of his guards and he wasn't going to get away with it. I was going to make sure that Amber suffered horrible for that. This was just the beginning of my evil. I had already mapped out plans to deal with her and was on my way to the dungeon to give her a good taste of what Aiden had been doing to her before now that he had started acting strange. She needed to go through enough pain again so she would know that Aiden wouldn't be around to save her whenever I wanted to deal with her. Walking into the dungeons with rage and the burning desire to deal with her or everything I had been through, I walked towards her cell, ignoring the guards as they nodded at me in acknowledgement. I didn't care about their greetings or anything of that sort, all I cared about was making Amber suffer. Last night I barely slept because I was thinking about the best ways ways cause h
CALISTÉ.I couldn't keep my cool any longer. I wished he would die right there. But sadly there was nothing I could do to retaliate, to show how angry I was by the stupid statements he was making right now. I wished I had the power to do something to him. "I am your future Luna, Aiden. I deserve an explanation for all this nonsense I am seeing and hearing. Have you lost your fucking mind?! What is the meaning of all this?!!" I yelled at him, still demanding an explanation but it seemed he wouldn't be giving me any. I felt so f*cking pissed by his behaviour. But he didn't even move. He looked so calm with the whole thing that was going on. The anger in his face was gone all of a sudden. "What you done to him, you witch!" I yelled at the witch sitting behind him, cowered and crawled in a corner like she was innocent, when she was a very big monster that was just looking for prey. Only heaves knew how much I despised her at this moment. I wished I could harm her. Unable to hold my
