He furrowed his brows slightly. "Are you accusing me?"

"Fiona said you were meeting a female celebrity, but when I came in, I only saw you. I can't help but suspect you've hidden her away," Gale replied.

His expression darkened. "Nonsense, she just went to the restroom."

"Oh, that's it then." Gale stuck out her tongue. She believed Shawn, but teasing him a bit was irresistible. How could he possibly be interested in anyone other than her?

"Speaking of which, did you meet Sam today?" Shawn, hands behind his back, asked nonchalantly.

"How do you know? Are you following me?"

He casually replied, "There's nothing I don't know when it comes to company affairs."

Gale scoffed. "Pfft. Yes, I did meet him. We spent some time alone in the meeting room, and had a chat over tea. What's wrong with that?"

"It's fine."

"Then why ask?"

Shawn's gaze fell on her, mysteriously saying, "Wait till you get home tonight."

Gale instantly regretted her earlier bravado. The courage she had just displ
