Jay felt his blood running cold, and even the tips of his fingers were shivering.

Angeline wanted to bid farewell to her past completely? Did she mean utterly abandoning him and their children?

How hurt could she possibly be that the once so optimistic and cheerful Angeline was now despondent toward the world?

Cole continued to chatter incessantly, “I’m trying to transfer some allowance to them, but our Venmo accounts are capped at 299.99 dollars. I tried calling them back, but the other line is busy. I’m guessing that their phones are now rejecting any calls, so unless they take the initiative to get in contact with us, we can’t contact them.”

Jay was not at all surprised that Angeline had set her phone to reject all incoming calls. It was just that he still felt a faint sting in his heart.
