Jay explained bashfully, “Mom, can you return the jewelry that Angeline gave you yesterday?”

It was as if Chloe heard the sound of bubbles bursting. The soft, crisp sound brought out her internal anger.

It turned out her precious son was not here to apologize for Angeline but to support her instead.

“I gave it away,” Chloe said coldly.

Jay was dumbfounded.
