Kept her waiting

As she stepped out onto the rooftop, she couldn't believe what she was seeing. Every inch of the space was decorated with fairy lights twinkling in the sunlight. The table was set with a lace cloth and vases of fresh flowers.

“Well,” Ricardo said with a smile, and adjusted his coat. Alana was speechless. She didn't know what to say, her anger vanished instantly. How was she to put in a long face when the scenery before her was breathtaking.

“I decided to do a little something for us…the city is beautiful and well…maybe this can be like our honeymoon,” Ricardo said as he walked to the table? He thought a lot of it, he never gave Alana a befitting honeymoon. He understood her anger and the loss of their child.

“Do you like it?” He whispered, seeing that Alana was quiet. Did she like it? Only Alana knew, she blinked a few times, trying to push tears away. Ricardo stood beside the table, a warm smile crept on his face.
