Chelsea hears the News

Chelsea was sat on the sofa, watching a series on her laptop when the door was pushed open. She looked up and saw that it was her father. She immediately took off the headset she was putting on and stood up.

“Dad, you're home. Welcome back.” She greeted him with a wide smile on her face.

"Thank you ." he barely replied, and Chelsea raised a brow at him.

She noticed her dad's countenance,

“What's wrong dad? You look so frustrated. Did something happen at the office?”

Chief Reynolds dropped his police cap on the table lazily, and ran his hands through his grey hair.

“Chels, I'm a police officer, things always happen. But that isn't the case right now, I'm just tired from work.” He said curtly.

Chief Reynolds didn't like discussing his office work with his daughter, especially one that made him come back home looking so frustrated. It wasn't as if he didn't trust her enough, he just wasn't so comfortable with it.

“You sure?” Chelsea asked, concern evident in her tone.

“Yes dear. I just
