Willows POV
“Willow, Baby, is that you?”
Instant relief washes over me when his annoyed voice goes soft at the sight of me. Maybe he isn’t mad, he’s probably just tired.
There, a few feet off from the door lays Maddox in this hospital suite, similar to mine but a little bit bigger and fancier to accommodate some guards. They were here when we got here, but left when I entered to give us some privacy.
“I’ll leave you two be,” Lilith quietly tells us, following the guards the same way out quickly.
Forcing a smile on my face, trying to pretend that I’m completely fine, I slowly make my way over to the bed and sit at the end of it.
