The walls were closing in.

Ethan Carter’s death had been ruled a suicide.

No evidence. No proof. No witness.

And yet, I couldn’t shake the feeling that the storm hadn’t passed. It was gathering strength. It was coming straight for us.

I sat in Raven’s Apartment, a glass of whiskey in my hand, watching the flickering candlelight cast shadows against the walls. The room smelled of expensive leather, aged wood, and the faint trace of Raven’s perfume—an intoxicating mix of vanilla and danger.
